Anyone had a problem with Musicid after 3 days?
I had it working fine and then today (about 3 1/2 days after install) it stopped with no warning.
I un-installed it and checked the registry and did a fresh install and it worked again fine.
Curious ... I like the app but it's far from critical.
Anyone had a problem with it after a few days ???
Sorry MODs - "I must not post when drunk, I must not post when drunk, I must not post when drunk, I must not post when drunk, ..."
This post should be in the Themes and Apps folder (?) - still have experienced the weird musicid problem, works after new install.
you cheater i bet you copy/paste that.. ahhahaha
i havent experienced this problem with musicid btw
Well I re-installed (and checked the reg first) and now it works OK - I guess I must wait another 3 days to see if it continues to work
...
my version is working fine more than 3 days later! about a week in fact!

UPDATE: all working fine now after many days.
I suspect the problem I had was down to the crap OS and not musicid.
Could anyone please tell me where I can find this app? I've searched the forums but must be looking in the wrong place, or just being a newbie.

Saw this on the VF forumn site - mine is ok but may help others:
try this...
Go to start, settings. Press menu -> all settings. Next connections. Advanced network. Now goto the fourth tab “SMS Service”. Instead of GSM Preffered, put it on GSM. I did this last night, and since I changed the setting my sms’s are working.
Good idea, and thanks for sharing, but that's been posted on here many, many times, and it works for some, and not for others, but then it works for a while for some, but the problem comes back.
As far as I'm aware, the only robust solution is to switch off HTC messaging.
I told this solution 2 weeks ago. It solved the problem for me too ^^ but apparently, the others didn't try ^^

This solution was posted about 6 weeks ago, but like I said, it doesn't work for everyone, and those that it does work for it may stop working. That's the experience that other users have already reported.

Word.......
Hi guys.
I did a search on this issue but it didn't bring up any results.
I'm having issues with motweets crashing on me, anyone else had similar problems and if so can you recommend a fix please?
I'm a UK user on Virgin, I generally keep my phone clean and tidy. Not many apps on it to be honest, plenty of spare memory on both the phone and the memory card. I run cleanRAM and Temp Clear at least once a day and reboot the phone every couple of days just to be on the safe side. I've uninstalled (motweets) and reinstalled it several times on to both the phone and the card but it does the same on either. Basically it started crashing (completely closing with no warning) once a week or so, but now it does it almost immediately after it's updated when I start the programme. I'm pretty sure it's not a 'newer' version than the one I've been using for a few months now, with no issues previously, so I don't think it's a 'software update' problem from Panoramic.
Any suggestions because I can't work it out? Am I missing something really obvious, like a cache folder that needs emptying, or something similar.
I'm by no means an expert but neither would I say I'm a novice too, so any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Regards.
Darren.
I have no problems with Motweets,I'm also on Virgin and have loads of Apps loaded on my phone.
Currently running V 1.8.5 which I believe is the latest version brought out
to solve the Oauth log in problems...
Hope that is some help to you Flatcap ?
yip - have had the same problem today.
motweets has worked fine so far. but to say it crashes around 5-15 secs after opening

Sounds almost identical to my problem, very strange.
I was using HTC Peep but moved over to motweets after the OAuth c**k up. And to be honest, as a Twitter App, it's streets ahead of Peep so I stayed with it. I am using the free version though, the adverts are discreet enough, so I don't really see them as a problem.
Flatcap.
I had the same problem, went back to using the built in app for a while, then after a few days tried MoTweets again and it worked fine for a couple of weeks.
Now it's crashing as above once more!
Hey guys!
Nice to post here, you all are really good at this, that's why i'd like to ask you anything that's being a headache these days.
I ran the WP7 Moonlight rom on my HD2 properly last week. I've been using it for a couple of days and everything works fine, except the jailbreak thing.
I read that the Moonlight already contains the hack but it actually doesn't work for me. I've been trying to hack it by the famous chevronwp7 method (I followed all the steps, little by little, from even 4 differents guides) and no success at all... it says "check the USB ... check zune open... blablabla" I read lots of posts on here about this issue and none of the answers worked for me.
The main reason because I want to hack it is to stop the battery problem that makes my phone last less than 20 hours (I have 3G disconnected most of the time to prevent this but it doesn't make much!!). I've read that i could arrange this by editing the registry.
I think everything would be fine if I could hack the phone...
Any ideas?
Thanks!!!!!!
Hey,
I have a major problem for a couple of weeks now. My phone just keeps waking up randomly and turns the screen on by itself. I have root and s-off and tried out a few roms. Sense Roms as well as MIUI roms... It does not make a difference at all, so I guess it can't be rom related. I have read a few more posts on the web of users having a similar problem but there was no solution given anywhere.
Also, my speaker automatically turns on when I receive or make a call. These two problems seem interconnected since there is at least one person on xda having exactly the same two issues...
Does anybody have an idea or a solution for this? I would be thankful for any kind of help! Thank you in advance!!!
I've a similar problem a bunch of months ago, my phone turn on automatically, without no logic. I've resolved the problem pulling out the battery for a night, after that the problem disappeared.
I hope that will help you to resolve your problem,
Rodomar705
Thanks, I will try that out tonight and report!
Ok, I tried it out last night, but it did not work
Does anybody have a different idea?

Did you check the date and time once you'd insert battery inside DHD? I think to solve the problem that way, you should leave DHD without battery until the internal battery will be totally discharged. It takes approx. 12-14 hours, and you can be sure only if turning on DHD you'll find time and date set to 12:00am, 1st jan 1980 (or something like that).
Yeah, it definately worked though, time was resetted as well. I turned it in today, hope to be able to pick it up next week. Before, I ran the Ruu to set it back to shipping condition... It still had the same error, so it is definately not rom related...
It is a huge drag without it... Already feeling uncomfortable ^^

Sorry mate!! Just wait for a week, ist not so long time, and you'll get back your phone as new as when you bought first time!! Hope this makes you feel a little bit of joy!!
Ok, I have gotten my phone back on thursday (after one week)...
SO far so good, everything worked again, they even set the proximity sensor right again... Then I rerooted it and put another MIUI on it...
On friday then, I put Vipermod back in and undervolted it by 50 mA... BOOM, the issue came back, I couldn't remove it, so I took the battery out and waited for 12 hours, as you suggested... and it worked... Issue was gone... Then I ran vipermod again and BOOM the issue was there again... It didn't even help to set the mA values back to normal, I had to reset it again by taking out the battery for 12 hours.
So my conclusion is that this issue is directly related to the actual USE (not just the installation) of vipermod... Can anyone confirm? Don't want to put out false information in the vipermod thread without having others to confirm...
need help also

If changing the ROM didn't help then it is an app issue. One of your apps is causing it. Time to look deeper
I have exactly the same issue! Also with the speaker sometimes. Really annoying. If an app is causing it, how can we find out which one? I'm using ARHD 6.1.0, but I've had the issue with older versions of the ROM too (with the same apps installed).

Only way to find out is to test them one by one by reinstalling them one at a time
I originally had this audio problem around 3 weeks ago while playing a game so I rebooted and it was working fine again.
A few minutes ago, exactly the same problem has happened again and a reboot hasn't resolved it, this time.
Here's a recording of the audio problem I'm having - http://db.tt/aqB3EM0W
EDIT - Again, it has sorted itself out but there's still clearly an underlying problem to have caused this.
If anyone's had this problem before, could you let me know how you fixed it and roughly how much it cost (if you took it to a repair shop)?
Thanks in advance

I had the same problem.I just opened the back cover and hit the mics with my finger several times. Since than I am not facing it anymore. I'm not telling its gonna work for you but you can give it a shot.
I had this problem as well but I fixed it. I found out the culprit causing it was the ROM that I was using. So I flashed back to stock and the crackling was gone! Whew.

Which rom/kernel are you running with it?

Completely stock. Not even rooted. Since I edited the OP last to mention that it's fine again, it hasn't done it since but there's always a chance it could do it again.

Maybe try rooting? Might solve the problem. I'm rooted and have never had that issue.

I think the problem must lie deeper than that somewhere because I stayed stock for a few months after getting it without a problem. I then decided to root + flash some ROMs, still with no problem. Then I had no problem for ages even after coming back to complete stock again.
I think I'll just have to wait and see if it does it again and then take it to a mate who'll be able to find out why it's done it and probably fix it
