ich have a problem with AE Button Plus. I have installed AE Button on my HD and changed the volume button to page down/up button.
It Works fine till i get an incoming call or do an outgoing call . After that the volume button ist reset to controll the volume.
I used AE Button Version 2.6.3 and the new one 2.6.4.
My HD has the ROM-Version: 1.14.407.3
Is it possilbe to fiy the bug?

Fantastic utility but same problem bug on my Htc HD ....
To my mind it is on purpose and no bug... Maybe UP and DOWN keys are mapped to Volume UP and Volume DOWN by Windows Mobile by default!
After the call the functions of the Volume Up/Down button become Up/Down again?

is there a program to disable the volume control on the wizard. i keep accidently brushing up against the volume button and it lowers the volume for the ringer. I'd like for the ringer / volume to always be high

Taka a look here. This is what I use.
Is there any way to disable the Volume rocker key? It stays active even when the phone is locked so when in my pocket, it often reduces the volume or even puts it off compleatly. Is there a Reg hack to disable it compleatly as the volume can be set via the settings menue.

When the phone is put to "sleep" (pressing the on/off button) ,locked or not, all buttons are disabled. The phone will only wake up (all buttons and soft keys enabled) when there is an incoming call or message or when you press the on/off button again. If it's in your pocket during the wake up, that's where the volume button could be pressed by whatever.
That's how it works on mine.

The only time the volume buttons are working while phone is sleeping is when I'm listening to music via headset... Otherwise, it works the same as azahidi's...
You can use AE Button Plus ( http://ae.inc.ru/aebplus.php ), I assigned another functions to volume buttons with it and lot of other functions to rest of my buttons. It is $7.99.

I'm hooking keys with setwindowhook API , everything works fine - but volume up and down acts strange:
if the camera window is not up -i recieve different VK for volume up and volume down buttons, but when I start the camera process - I recieve a vk code(different than the original) idetical to both - volume up and volume down keys.
what can i do to recieve the same vk code in all states?
Is there a way to disable volume up/down buttons?
They are very sensitive and I often press them unintentionally.

AE Button plus does this. I have it on my HTC Touch2 and have the volume buttons disabled. Works perfectly fine.
Hello i have latest firmware 8180 kitkat. I can not reach with one hand power button to end the call, it's not comfortable and i want remap power button with volume up button. So i changed Generik.kl and swap key 115 VOLUME_UP with key 116 POWER, but after that power button works fine as volume up but volume up button not changed and react as volume up. Volume down button already successfully remapped as call function. Thx for you advice.
