I cant find the default folder for my contact pictures. After installing the latest rom build and doing an activesynch i have all of my contacts on jasjar with the pictures. In outlook 2003 i dont see the pictures when i look up the contact. what is the default folder for pictures used in the contacts app on the jj.
TIA
if your on about the outlook contacts, pictures are embedded into the contact card. once you've added a pict to a contact you can get rid of the actual photo file. I dont delete them just store them on me server as a "just in case"
If I go on Windows Live Messenger, the user display pictures of people that are online are automatically cached as part of the entire WinMo/XPERIA contacts. When I add the contact to TouchFLO I can't find the secret/hidden folder where Messenger caches these display pics so that I can set them as the photo for the TouchFLO contact. Or.... is there any way to automatically import/integrate the WinMo contacts with TouchFLO?
Okay so I found them cached at \Application Data\Windows Live\Tiles
They are simply JPEG's with base64-encoded file names that have no extensions.... how annyoing.......
soooooo???
What I want: multiple album folders to display when I go to the photo viewer tab. Kinda like the email tab- where you can select your various accounts and then the messages display. I want that for the photo tab.
Anyone know how to or where to start looking?
Thanks in advance.
When I take a picture and I want to send via email, I wish I could choose to send it to other software like ProfiMail.
It's possible?
Thanks
Photo via mail
Yes, you can send photos by mail but it is a multistep proces.
- Take the picture. Find out what the filename is.
- Go to the explorer and open the folder where the photo is stored.
- Tap and hold on the filename of the photo until the menu appears.
- Choose 'send'. You will see your email accounts stored on the phone.
- Choose the mailaccount from where want to send the picture.
- The email acoounts opens, and you will see the filename of the photo in the attachement field.
- Take in account that the photo will be compressed!
Onother option is to open your email account on the phone
- Choose from the menu 'new mail'
- Again go to menu menu and choose 'insert'
- You now have three options
- If you want to sent the photo uncompressed choose 'file'
- Open the folder where the photo is stored
- Choose the photo and the email screen appears with the filename of the photo as attachment this time uncompressed.
Good luck
Thanks so much.
I have Google+ synchronizing with my contact list as it fills in a lot of pictures that I don't have for contacts. However, for one contact, I have a much better quality picture of them I would like to use. If I set the picture as their contact photo however, it doesn't change - the Google+ one remains. If I edit the contact I can see that locally the picture is being saved correctly, but the phone appears to be choosing to use the Google+ picture anyway. How do I make the phone choose what I've locally saved instead?

Obviously you can either chose to use G+ or your phone contact pictures, not preferably one from here and one from there.
But why not just sign into your gmail and manage your G+ photos and replace the low res one with the one you like, sync and you're done.
Go to google . com / contacts and set the picture there.
Right, so I removed the locally stored contact picture and instead went to my Google Contacts and updated it there, and when it synced back to the phone, it still uses the Google+ picture instead of the picture I want. The only way I can stop this is to disable Google+ contact sync, but then I lose a lot of pictures for my other contacts.
open your contact, hit menu, then select "Mark as default"
you can then choose which one you want

Thanks! Is there a way I can reset this setting if I'd like to in the future?
