[Q]How to Uninstall a program on HD? - Touch HD General

Hi all,
I have a (maybe stupid) question.
How do you do if you want to uninstall a program?
thank you.

Use the SKTools utility for a complete and clean uninstall!

Start > Settings > System > Remove Programs

Hi,
Programs that came with the phone can't be uninstalled. Programs you installed yourself can be uninstalled by going to: Start>Settings>System>Remove Programs.
Regards,
Rolf

Thank you all

Try unstalling the application from the Start Menu ==> Settings ==> Settings ==> Remove Programs
If this does doesn't work, then try installing the application back to the same location and follow the steps above..

Uninstall Stock Applications.. how?

Anyone know how to uninstall applications that were pre-installed into the ROM? The Remove Programs in Settings doesn't show any and will just show the ones that the user installed.
Thanks

How to uninstall IPC Black Dialer?

I installed this awhile ago and tried uninstalling it today but it just says something like "this program was not completely uninstalled. would you like to remove it from the list of installed programs?" and you choose yes/no, and your choice doesn't make a difference because it keeps showing up in the list anyway. Does anyone know how to uninstall this? thanks.
buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuump
Hard Reset PPC!! OK!!
Too much trouble. There must be a way to uninstall a program without having to wipe the entire device.
first as you do with any other program :
go to settings > all settings > system tab > Remove Programs > sellect IPC BlacK Dailer > and click remove ..
if it has problems so install black dailer again, and then do the the same steps above..
i wish it works with u..
goodluck

Android application install questions

Does the Android environment suffer from registry 'junk' entries from the installation and deinstallation of applications as WM does? I'm asking because there are just so many Android applications, and the Market is often unhelpful with determining which one is right, so it looks as though much experimentation will be happening, and I don't want to muck up the system.
Thanks!
Bump. Hope someone can answer this. Thanks!
If you want to remove all possible traces when you uninstall an app. Don't just uninstall from Market.
Go to Settings > Applications > All Applications (Click on the app) then select clear cache - then select clear data if you can - then click uninstall.

Click to collapse
Thanks, but that only partially answers my question. I would want to be sure that all traces of an application are removed, but not all traces of everything. In other words, there are apps that I intend to keep, but for those I don't want, how do I completely erase them, or are they like WM apps where no matter what you do, there are registry entries?
Also, is there a way to find the .apk and save it for future installs? For example, the Marketplace doesn't archive a list of free apps. I would want to save those in a folder, along with keys such as the Pro version of Titanium Backup and so on.
