Good WORK man, will try it soon with the HD Manilla.
Thanks xmod

Hi xboxmod
Great job man~
It work on my diamond.
Thanks a lot

You did it! Only glitch, you have to tap "Tap here to start TF3D" after soft reset... however, impressive! A bunch of people will thank you, and I'm one of those!
So last thing to fully port HD to Diamond is the list of letters on the right when you scroll for example in "select city" weather tab... it's too long, is it just a matter of resize like that in the HD weather panel to actually see the 5 days icons on the bottom?

Awesome work!
PS. maybe you can add a reg to avoid the manila show in the TaskManager:
[HKCR\Software\HTC\TaskManager\ExclusiveList\System]
"manila2.exe"=dword:0

not bad.. quick and easy bro!
i see that it basically cuts outs the steps that was needed to run the app, cause the keyboard pops up.
either way..thanks for this!
Late,
Jstar

Hi xboxmod, really thanks for your work. Unfortunately, after i installed the cab, my manila.exe keep crashing even i tried your manila.zip attached. Please help if you feel free....
1. My windows folder manila.exe is 3mb... why ur attached one just 12kb?
2. I have 7mb free space before install the cab , after install and uninstall this cab i only have 4.xmb left, which files i can delete ?? (Now i restore my 3mb manila.exe and i can't see any manila2.exe in my windows folder.)
Again, thanks for your effort and i still want to make it work anyway....

thank you, works like charm so far!
yet it´s not that small (3mb), luckily I have enough space due to custom rom ;-)

HI
my cab contain 2 files
manila.exe (my loader)
& manila2.exe (quartz tf3d executable)
my loader work like this:
the today plugin call manila.exe (12kb)
then manila.exe call manila2.exe the real manila executable!
so be sure to delete manila.exe before install the cab
& use only Mun_rus manila or hd manila

Nice work Xboxmod.
Could you share the complete package of your manila?

Thx work excellent? Does it restart at 0 atomaticually?
Great work =)

[SKN] Calculator skin (Manila style FINAL) VGA, Cab installer

hi all, i recently seen a nice spb calc diamond skin, and i decide to make my own much more like manilla dialer (white), hope you like it !
Portrait AND landscape .
screenshot:
as usual install spbcalc wich is in the zip, then copy the 2 gifs to your /windows
EDIT: you must copy the 2 gifs files with file explorer like resco or total commander FROM YOUR DEVICE, don't use activsync!!, when do it properly the system must ask you : are you sure to replace existing files ? then answer yes to all, this way it should work...
EDIT 2: QVGA conversion by vitornog SEE PAGE 3 !!!
EDIT 3: "Ready to use" CAB file by Rondol1 on PAGE 4,thx man !!
EDIT 4: Updated portrait (with smoother fonts) see attached zipped gif, copy it in windows folder...
EDIT 5: FINAL VERSION SEE: SPB CALC MANILA STYLE FINAL.ZIP, I have not included QVGA in this version cos the image quality is not good in QVGA and i don't have a QVGA device...Installation as usual...Waiting for someone to make a "ready to use" CAB
EDIT 6: Now with cab installer , many, many thanks Rondol1: thanks to him just install the cab and voila !!
Updated with landscape mode...
Cool, now a new Manilla skin for the windows Agenda?
Thanks man nice job.
Cheers.
thank you for saving us from the ugly moth*r fu*er wm skin calculator!
why can they do a decent skin for such a common but useful application? why?
thanks for your great effort, I'm going to give this a try, I like it, it's simple and clean interface.
It doesnt work. I get the black skin that comes with the .cab .. but not this skin. I copied the Gif in to Windows folder .. what have i done wrong?
may be try a soft reset (if not already done)
...did the system ask you to replace the old gifs ? if not, you surely unzip in wrong folder or apply path when unzipping, the gifs must be in windows folder not in windows/spbcalc.../
please check, and tell us.

same for me on my diamond, & I've already copied the 2 attachment skin files to window folder, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
I had the black background too, this was when I tried to copy the images via activesync into windows, it did not prompt for overwrite.
I copied the files onto the internally storage, then copied them and pasted them into windows folder on the device using file explorer on the phone, it then prompted if I wanted to overwrite.
It works with the method I just did.

I think you messed up MR and MC buttons in your skin

Installing themes/manila files without using TF3D Config on a 1.93 o2 ROM

Hi All
First of all I am new to all of this but have spent the last week trying to figure out what to do but failing badly - therefore apologies to you all if my question could be easily found through a google search ...., but I have failed to find it
So at the heading says - how do I install a theme/manila files onto my Ignito without using TF3D Config - I have tried copying them across to the windows directory but still cannot see them listed under the Today settings.
I am using TF3D, on a 1.93 rom on a O2 UK tariff
Fingers crossed someone will be able to help me in simple - idiot proof - instructions
Thanks all
Jean
Ermmm - in light of the fact 77 people have looked at this but not replied does that mean ....
a. Its a really stupid question not worthy of a reply
or
b. No one knows the answer
a lot of people use tf3d config on 1.93 roms with no known
problems.give it a try.you can always take it off again and
return to your stock rom.
Hi i have a 1.93 rom which had the o2 theme, i installed the original black theme on it using tf3d config and ive had no problems.

use total commander to copy and paste the files into the windows directory!
Is there actually a reason why you're trying to do this? TF3D Config is a quick and easy method for changing your theme so to try and accomplish this manually seems needlessly complex. Which, I'd guess, is probably why no one's answered your question; it's likely that no one has ever tried to do it manually as TF3D Config does it all for you.
For the record I've got the stock 1.93 ROM on O2 and I've managed to change theme with TF3D Config without any problems at all. My girlfriend's done the same with her stock 1.93 Vodafone ROM.
Hi All
Thanks so much - the problem I am having is that I can't find any themes within the TF3D config programme - so for example - it asks for a path to the file containing the theme - I highlight the theme location but it then does'nt load
Am I being really dumb!!
Thanks again all

loool OMG select the folder where your themes are located!
You can't select TF3D themes in the Today settings. A WM6 theme (.tsk files) yes, but no Touchflo.. You'll have to either use TF3DConfig> Create a folder called 'themes' (without quotes) in your storage card and put the xxx.theme files in there. Use tf3dconfig, press 'path', doubble click storage card, highlight themes, and press 'ok'. There has to be only .theme files in there, no folders or zip files, they don't work...
Or if you want to copy files to the windows directory, the method is to extract all the manila-files from a theme. Copy and overwrite all the manila files to the windows folder. Folders, zip-files or .theme-files do not work. Only manila files. I wouldn't recommend this one, but you gotta do what you gotta do..

Thanks again - I've done exactly as you say - and in fact that's what I have been doing - yet no theme is available within TF3D - I'm trying to install a manila theme called Black n Blue - I get a warning saying I must have 20mb free - which I have - so at a complete loss as to the problem.
J
Hmm this is weird.. what ROM do you have? Is it stock? And what version of tf3dconfig are you using?

Rom: 1.93.206.3 wme - Original o2 VERSION
TF3Dconfig: 0.6.7
It's very frsutrating as the process should be simple - yet installing a manila theme in anyway seems impossible - I can change the picture background via Flo and of course have a WM theme if I turn off Touch Flo - just not install a theme that intergrates with TFlo - thanks for the time and help
Yes I can imagine. But on the thread about tf3d config, it says 'Please do not install a Theme on a 1.93 ROM!' Maybe he's referring to stock roms? I also have a 1.93 rom, but it works without any hassle. You are not willing to update to a custom rom?
Have you tried to copy all the manila files to your windows folder? Use total commander.. original explorer does not work..
I think that's what I'm going to have to do - just less hassle if I can get away without replacing the rom - never mind it was worth a try - the weird thing is even copying across to the windows folder- via ActiveSyn - also does'nt work - so a bit stumped
Thanks for all the help though
You would have to use Total Commander to to copy files from your 4gb storage card to your windows folder. It doesn't work with activesync or explorer..
Ahh okay thats good to know -off to try!!!!
Perfect - fiddly - but worked a treat - it was trying to copy across via Active Syn that was the issue - hugely appreciated thank you
It's worth noting that this can't be an issue with stock ROMs because both my girlfriend and I have successfully updated our TF3D themes using TF3D Config and we both have stock 1.93 ROMs.
Not that that helps you out at all, but at least people reading this will know it is perfectly possible to do this using a stock ROM.

Same here, i have tried many themes on the stock o2 ROM with the TF3D config with no issues.
I can't believe so many people out there don't realize what the problem is. The aforementioned "Black and Blue" theme (and many others) is NOT a .theme file, so the TF3D Config application CANNOT be used to apply it. It is instead just a bunch of manila files that need to be copied into the Windows directory (with Total Commander from the sound of it). I have had the same problem with the same theme.
Are we being dumb in that there is a simple way to create the .theme file? From a collection of manila files?

How do you use .theme ?

how do you use .theme ?
Personally I am also not sure but I think you did not bother to search it out.
Others might famed you for this... so do a search b4 you post a new topic

install it with Diamond TF3D Config 0.6.7
Sorry...
I should have been more specific i have 1.93 rom which it it doesnt work on, i meant any other way then TF3D Config.
I have "instruction", how to do this:
1.Instal Manila Customizer (on Internal Storage!).
2.Make new Directory in "\Internal Storage\Program Files\Manila Customizer\Icons\".
3.Extract files from "*.theme" by WinRar (or another APP) into new folder.
4.Create empty ".jpg" file, named as Your folder, and copy it to "\Internal Storage\Program Files\Manila Customizer\Icons\".
5.Run "Manila Customizer".
6.Click "Options->Change->Icons", and find your folder name near "Item Name:".
7."Click to Apply Iconset".
8.Click "Exit->Exit and Start TF3D".
I think, it can help you...
PS. Sorry for my English

TF3D Config does work on 1.93 ROMS, I've no idea why the TF3D Config thread says that it won't as this has been proved time and time again to be false.

1. TF3D works on 1.93 for some.. or most^^
2. Rename "Blabla.theme" to "Blabla.zip" or Blabla.theme.zip whatever u want... then u can extract all files and copy them to your Internal Storage.
From there u can use Resco Explorer or another explorer to copy the manila files to /windows
overwride everything and restart TF3D Today Plugin.

Howto remove htchome when cooking rom

Hi, guys, as nowadays we have the M2D run on our polaris. So I plan to remove the htchome by cooking.
I found 4 files related with htchome:
HTCHome.dll
HTCHome.dll.0409.mui
HTCHomeSettings.dll
HTCHomeSettings.xmlI just deleted them, built my rom, generated the nbh file without errors.
Then I flashed my polaris, when finishing flashing the device stuck at the "Tap here to launch TouchFlo", I tap and it said "Launching TouchFlo", after a while back to the "Tap here to launch TouchFlo". Did the M2D have to use htchome to work?
Or any experts can tell me how to remove htchome totally when cooking? Appreciate!
Thanks in advance.
Hi,
which rom are you using how bse to cooking?
If you use original Wm6.1 you only need to delete htchome cab in \oem\oemapps folder and delete his installation string from config_ap.txt in same folder!

hi,
those file are no relation with HTC HOME PLUGIN, they are HTC home engine witch is necessary to all HTC today plugins, so if you want remove HTC home today plugin from original ROM just remove .cab file from OEMAPPS directory.

i'm also playing with ROM cooking myself

[SOLVED]cookie home tab[SOLVED]

hello fellow chefs
i have a problem with cookie home tab 1.7
i made a ext from the cab just like i did with all cabs
i left out manillafull.xml just like cookie has stated in his post
but now when i cook a rom cookie mods dont show up
i see in the right top corner the pages indicator of the quicklink pages
and i see the manilla slider on the bottom and i can slide to all tab(all tabs give the scren they should give except home screen)
i also put in cht editor and when i make changes to the quicklinks the get changed
but i dont see time, date, weather, etc, etc of allt he things that is supposed to be shown on home tab
can some oen share a working ext for cookie home tab 1.7
thansk in advance
edit: i attach the package i use now and some pics
Here use my packages , I didnt remove manillafull.xml when I cooked it in. I put CHTEditor in aswell, youir going to want to change its locations in the app.dat if you dont want it going to tools.
Also you want to add a reg tweak so CHT finds CHTEditor in the manila softkeys:
Code:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\HTC\Manila]
"CHTE.Path"="\\Program Files\\CHTEditor\\CHTEditor.exe"

Notes for ROM cooking:
Don't cook in the file "ManilaFull.xml". Originally it's a manila cache file that's generated on start up (based on the xml files in \windows\manilaxml\).
This file should never be cooked in because it will prevent changes to manila pages and menus.
The "ManilaFull.xml" in the cab is an empty file. It's only there to make manila regenerate it after install, because I've made changes to the home menu.
So make sure not to cook in that file in any form.
