Someone may have already asked but I didnt see it anywhere. Is there a way to get the 5 MyFavs contacts to show up on the topday screen without having myfavs with tomobile? Thanks.
PS. Still unsure about unlocking and need help: PLEASE HELP ME IF YOU CAN
----------------------------------------
OK. So I tryed an unlocker from ebay twice (I didnt notice that the default email for my paypal account was an old invalid email of mine, but they should get a failure to deliver notice and refund my money, or so I hope) and I got a message back that read:
Hello - This is an automated message from NewMobileFreedom.com to let you know your unlock code is now available on our online tracking system.
Model: Wing
Code: NOT FOUND
Provider: T-Mobile
They say if they cant unlock it they will refund my money back. Does this mean no one can unlock me phone???
What should I do? Has anyone got a better way of getting this phone unlocked??? Thanks!
EDIT: I don't know if it matters, but the IMEI on the box is a bit different than the one from the phone (*#06#) the box has 15 digits and the phone show two extra digits - so 17 in total. Should I have given the 17 digit one???
Here what you do !
grrrrrrrrrrrrr

1st - is your phone T-mobile branded?? i may get u unlocked !
On MY Faves - if your phone is T-mobile branded the only way to get My faves on the today screen is to have a My faves plan
No My Faves plan = no My faves interface even if you have a my faves compatiable device ...... i know it 'd be kinda cool to have the interface for quick callin
but try to look for wisbar its a similar app that will let u put pics and you just tap the pics to make a call or send a txt or to vie missed call details.!
i hoep this helps!
htc home screen also has the quick contacts. Can put 9 contacts on it, including a persons picture if you have one on the phone

Yeah it's the tmobile wing and how so?
SPB phone suite or SPB mobile shell provide a similar effect to what you're looking for.
Ive been searching and couldnt really find anything..
Right now im using a kaiser and im looking for a program that will protect my Sms messages
I want it to do.
-when i get a new message, it doesnt show up on the main screen
-To access sms's you need to enter a four digit code
-after 5-10 times, it deletes all of your messages
If anyone knows anything that can do this, please let me know.
Thanks!
google gave me this:.

I have this... but
It's okay, but it's a bit clunky. I guess that's teh best way to describe it. Although I have the complete "mobile suit" that has SMS, contacts, eWallet, and file protection.
It's cool, but like I said, it's clunky... cant come up with a better term.
I keep getting a notification to request friends from HTC Sense Friends. However all the friends are just listed as "Orange" with the option Request or Ignore.
How can I disable this?
Thanks
What happens is HTCSense.com syncs all your contacts to it's database. In your case, you have "Orange" in your phone book.
When someone else with "Orange" in their phone book (you can imagine that it's quite a lot!) syncs up with HTCSense.com, then HTCSense.com goes "Oh look! This is the same person, maybe these people are buddies!" and suggests that you might be friends with them.
I get it with "Vodafone" and "Voicemail" too. I also had "Aaaaa" which was a remnant of an old featurephone that I would always end up pocket-calling (was one of those phones where pressing the select button takes you into the menu, then the phone book, then the first contact, then calls it - so I put a dummy entry in to stop it from calling anyone!)
Easiest way around it is to rename your contacts to something else. So you could change "Orange" to "Orange Customer Services" - however you'll probably find that someone else has that too...so you might need to get more obscure with your naming!
Or you just disable HTCsense sync (Options->Accounts and sync).
If you don't really use it, there's no point of it draining ur battery while u sleep
what exactly does HTCsense sync do ?
i mean if we stop it from syncing , will that affect the sense.com website and we wont be able to track the phone or ring/lock it ?
Hi all, I'm getting the same thing. At first I was ignoring them but they kept coming back so I clicked the Request button to see if it would go away, but no it says I have them as friends but offers more of the same contacts (main one being "show balance") to add as freinds. Can someone please help cos this happends every second day?

Sorry about that I should have addressed it as I'm still getting the same thing. I did change them by removing letters and it was still showing up and found out it's the number its finding, but after all that I found out that it was O2 numbers from when I joined HTC Sence with a HD2 desire rom and now I'm with vodafone and they aren't applicable so have now deleted them
very sorry about that, I am a Noob
My friend recently died of a drug overdose and his mom wants to get into his phone. We have tried every password combination we could and the phone has not erased itself. Can anyone help us to figure out the password and get into the phone?

You can't. Not unless someone knows a way to get into his gmail. If you're just wanting to get recent pictures he's taken then you might be able to remove the SD card if he put one in it so she can have them for memories. But that's only if he didn't encrypt the SD card. You'd have to put the card into a card reader and put it in a laptop with a card reader.

You can use dr. Ketan's lockscreen security bypass .
It works like charm.
It resets the security to swipe unlock.
But this has be tested on custom roms or atleast it requires a rooted firmware , cause the file has to be flashed via custom recovery .
This is the file :

I did almost forget another option. The phone is probably not rooted. But if you took his carrier sim card out of the phone and put it in another phone that isn't locked and then go to www.gmail.com the right below the sign in area it will say "find my account" click on that. Then select the option to use phone number to recover account. Type in his phone number and have it send a text or call. You will now get the text or call on the new phone. Then follow the steps after you get his email to go back to gmail again and use the forgot password option to text you a reset link. "BUT BE WARNED! I THINK GOOGLE WILL LOCK THE HIS PHONE FOR 3 DAYS AFTER A PASSWORD RESET" Then after them 3 days have passed it will allow you to log in with the new password you made.

P.s. if he's using a pattern or a pin I think you have to get the pattern or pin wrong a certain amount of times before it will ask you to login with gmail credentials instead. And dare I say if this is of a more important matter of finding out something legal through his phone, I really hate to say this but if he is still at the morgue or funeral home he may have registered his finger print through the phones finger print scanner. Which you could then test with his fingers. Sorry didn't want to say that. But them are the only two ways I know.
Mate sorry for your loss
I am by no means a developer..... I have been led to these sites, apps, forums, and pages trying to find what is going on inside my phone. My phone has been hacked someway. I have gotten a new phones, new sim card, new SD card, new number, new service provider, all new email accounts..... It seems like one way or another they keep slipping through. They also get through through the wifi.... I have 400 system apps on my phone and all of them have crazy privileges. For example my weather app can make phone calls and take pictures and send SMS. I need help. I have been so violated by all of this. Someone please help me unhack my device or somehow get them out or learn how to keep them out. Who the **** are they anyway? And what do they want??
They probably want to eat your spaghetti Perform hard reset and this is not correct section of the forum for that type of problems.
