Having uploaded a few albums onto my touch (aswell as the album covers) i was curious as to how I can display the pic of the album cover when searching for music by albums...
All my album titles are there, but how can I relate each uploaded jpg to the album track (and yes I did change the resolution before uploading).
Cheers.
Place the album cover in the same folder as the album.
Rename the cover "folder.jpg"
Job done.
cheers mate, yeah I gathered they had to be in the same directory...didn't know about renaming.

Oh, does that really work now?
I remember on the Diamond you had to actually embed the album art into the mp3.

Hi everyone !
I'm new in here and I would like some help in a issue that I been having with my G1 since day one. Which is able to add cover album (or picture) to the music files or folder. I was previously using a Blackberry Curve 8320 and I was able to apply the album cover to the music player by doing the following: creating a folder in the microsd card, putted all musics from the album in there, downloaded the picture of the album and placed it in the folder, and then I renamed the picture to Folder. And then all the songs would play and the album covers as well. So I would like to know if there's a easier way to apply the cover album that the G1 music player would recognize and play it at the same time.
I will highly appreciate your help.
Thank you
I don't know about doing the picture in folder thing. The way I do it is on a windows box and use a program called Tag&Rename to embed the album art into every music file.
oh alright i am going to try this software to see if it works....
thanks
I transfered some of my music files I used on my itunes to the HD. Problem now is that lot of the music files now don't have the album cover. Is there to fix that?
Assuming that all your music is organised into seperate folders for each album on your PC. You need to make sure that each folder has a JPG of the album cover in it. The name of the JPG in each folder should be "Folder.jpg"
I tried that, but I didn't get album art to show until I tagged the mp3 file with the album art filename using Media Monkey.

i use this

work fine

it worked for me, altho I had to resync my music, and update my library on my Touch.
Each album needs its own folder, each folder must have a file called "folder.jpg" and the jpg should be that albums art work.
I'm also assuming you mean in the TF3D music player. The same thing works for S2P however S2P seems to take a long time to update.
Using only Folder.jpg does work it just takes time for the programs to catalogue the album art. and though embedding album art in the mp3 also works it can also cause problems and you'll see a album art jpg is created anyway
Hi,
I've tried looking and can't see an obvious way to do this, what I was hoping was that I could put an exception to not look in the My Music folder on my uSD card. I have loads of music with cover art and lots of folders of pictures. When navigating the Album view of the pictures manilla tab I get all the folders of my MP3s due to them all having the folder.jpg within, it's really cluttered and i'd just like to have folders with photos in.
Hope that's clear and that someone could point me in the right direction to fix it.
In anticipation.
Dan.
I am using the Blackstone, But if you use a app like Tag and Rename to add the album art directly to the mp3. There is no need to have the picture on your phone. Works for me.
Tag and rename Here: http://download.cnet.com/Tag-Rename/3000-2141_4-10041852.html
Yep, embedded art is the way to go.
I use mp3tag.
Hmmmmn, interesting I hadn't thought of attacking it from that angle. Thanks guys I'll give tag and rename a go.
Cheers.
Hi. I need help with mp3Tag Software. I got it to tag all the songs with Cover Art but when I pulled them up on my phone, they Cover Art was there but it was individual songs instead of placed into one folder containing the Album Art.
Basically, I got a collage of Sade Songs (Around 10 or so) that I want to place as an album on my HD2 and I got the Cover Art on the songs to show up, but when I place them onto my phone after Tagging them with My personal Cover Art, they are not in one folder for Sade, they are individual songs and I need to know how to combine the songs so that it will show up in one folder with the Album Art I chose like Normal Albums that have the art in them. Can anybody help me?
Also, when I went back to the folder on my phone, I saw that it had made individual .jpg images of each individual track cover art.

you need to get the ten songs and tag them all with the same album name.
Sorry if it sounds noobish but I put the album name in the "Album" Text Field or "Album Artist" Text Field?
Nevermind. I got it. Thank You Soooo Much.
I'm trying to figure this out because it seems that with some if I don't have the album art it manages to find it, others have blank album art. Some of them, for example if I have an album within a folder, will use the 'cover.jpg/png' file as the default cover which is desirable.
What I'm trying to do is to get most my music with album covers. Suggestions?

That seems like something iTunes would do.
then use doubletwist music player and sync with itunes. . . answered your own question
Eh I prefer drag and drop but I'll check it out.
i think some mp3's themselves will have the album art info embedded into the file.
as for folders and art...
if you include a jpg called "AlbumArt.jpg" within your folder, it will always use that file for album covers (this is what i do).
If it's like iTunes (and other apps, I presume), with accurate ID3 tags, it looks up and downloads the album art from somewhere. Without accurate or enough data, it shows nothing.
