Any idea how to play quicktime format video in x1 or how to play website like dailymotion.com
any idea plzz
No need for the same question 4 times.
For some reason on my X1 www.dailymotion.com/mobile tells me that my phone doesn't support video playback. For this to be fixed someone needs to tell Daily Motion that it does. As I don't use the site, it's not going to be me.
Alternatively get SkyFire and WVGAFix3 and you should be able to view the full site on your mobile.

Hello
When trying to watch captured videos from my MDA II / XDA II (.mp4) I don't get an image and no sound. So which codec I must install to watch these videos?

this is what google had to say about that
On the PC, Microsoft Media player doesn't suport MP4. You need to download a MP4 compatable player, such as quicktime.
I've tried various MP4 codec plugins for Media Player, but haven't managed to get any to work with native MP4 files yet.
re
I have not managed to get anything to play the vid files produced by xda 2 with anything but the latest version of Quicktime.
There must be some other vid players out there ?
Cheers, shire

MP4 Coded
I use a product called EnvivioTV. It is a standalone app as well as plugin for WMP. So Mp4 video can be viewed in EnvivioTV app as well as in Windows Media. I downloaded version 1.5 from download.com. The file is EnvivioTV.exe
Thanx for your replies, but I did not manage to get Sound with Quicktime Player - Video works, but no sound! This other Plugin EnvivioTV even doesn't work - Media Player rejects to play the files although it defenitely accepts the files...
Any solution?
Thanks for the tip chioque, EnvivioTV works well.

Re : Video Sites
What model of phone are you having?
Generally, Windows Media Player 10 Mobile for Pocket PC can be used to open video from video site. Just use "open url", then type in the url of the video site. As long as the video format is compatible, you should be able to watch the video.
Diamond... just like youtube... which uses flash player... if your were to open it using the browser... you wun be able to see the video...
Try this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=423860

Yea i've tried it...but the quality of video is very low...i intend a way to watch youtube videos with all or a part of features that there are in the desktop version.. i dont want believe that there isn't a way to do it or anything like this, on a unbelievable smartphone like this..
Mvu mobile viewer. Search for this application on xda. This program in combination with tcmp or core player will fulfill your needs
i've resolved using mVu player + Core Player( in tool-->preferences-->file associations-->select all...in network "page" set YouTube Format H264( i've put it in this mode) in video "page" at Video Output set DirectDraw...) ^^ thnx riotman!!
hi, i am planning to buy a 4inch vertical qwerty phone, and it looks like Dell Venue Pro is my only choice...my primary use is to watch video file in TS format... does anyone know if this phone can play the TS video file?
my main source of the TS file is from my TV recorder...(in TS format, MPEG2)
please help.... if you know whether there is any apps for Dell venue pro.
demo ts file attached (video length a few seconds only)... please let me know if you could open it on your dell venue pro...
thanks,
SN
Ill check it out for you tonight and let ya know for sure. The all of the phones media is based off/through the Zune software. So if Zune supports it, the phone will too.
You will need to transcode and compress it. An hour of TV at 1920x1080 will run you around 7GB an hour at a bit rate of about 18mbps. Thats if your provider actually sends over 18mbps. Anyways running a video at that rate will just drain your battery. No need to run a video at a non-native resolution
even if it could play it.. convert it. mpeg2 is poorly compressed.
h264 in a mp4 would be a better pick and not fill up your flash.
but no.. it won't play as a ts or mpeg file.
EZ test for you.. try to play it in zune. it will X it if you try to put it in your zune collection.
ez mode would be making it into a wmv.
i'm pretty sure if you play it in windows media center there is a option to export to mobile (it will then convert it to wmv) (h264 in mp4 is a small file better quality still)
Agree with the above - looks like it will need transcoding.
Another good program for transcoding is Handbrake (http://handbrake.fr). It can convert .ts files into formats (e.g. mp4) that will play on the DVP. Handbrake is free and can also deinterlace the video for you.
There is an apps call VPlayer for Android phone, and it works pretty well without converting... and just want to know if there is anything similar for WP7...
so... there is no way to play TS file (MPEG2) on WP7 ?

Might be worth asking the question in the overall WP7 Q&A forum.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1102
Might be someone there who knows if there's an app or workaround that can do this.
