I've read that the GPS of the VIVA has been disable via software. On some forums in spanish I've read the same question...it's possible to activate the GPS on the VIVA with some update or change of the ROM?

last week i bought the german "MDA Basic", and there is definetly NO GPS-Module in the MDA Basic.
You only can use an external GPS-Module.

Hi, well its my first time here and iam i novice in HTC world i live in japan and buy a Herm200 (softbank device) in the last week but all is in japanese.
Today i download a xda wm6 rom and upgrade my device all work fine but internet dont work if i conect whit my air net ok but softbank internet dont.

i bought an Artemis today but this version doesnt have Wifi
what can i do? is there any extra hardware solution for it?

arte 110 doesn't have WiFi its the British T-Mobile MDA Compact-III unless you can find a micro SD WiFi card that will fit the slot and allow the battery to fit I would forget using WiFi with it - Mike
It's easy to change it but U need a new housing for HtC P3300 cause on T-mobile is missing small antenna which is reasponsible for wi-fi and after that U need just reflash your artemis diffrent rom!I know that cause the phone board is the same for both pda!!
ok i dled destinator 6 and in the options i go to set gps signal, it does not seem to find my antena which i bought for this device (t-mobile mda20 the destinator rogram works, including all the maps, its just ever since i upgraded to wm 6 or 6.1 i cannot seem to activate the gps option? is there something i have to set in the registry to enable gps detection? i plug tyhe antenna in the back of my ppc in the little port hole, to the right of the camera hole. and well if there is a way to make the ppc detect the gps antenna i would appriciate you guys telling me how? maybe a driver that i need, may be registry code i need, maybe dif gps program will work.

well the thi ng is i use the ppc as cell phone, i put my tmobile card in it and the phone works, but i cannot use internet or you know like msn or anything, why is there anything i can do to use internet if i have a tmobile card in the ppc and use it as cell phone, how? maybe i could even use it to run on destinator , kind of like a cell phone connection gps

the best one is IGO8.3.x.x version...
You don't have to pay nothing for using this software, cause you use satelite for navigation, not internet

By the way, if I read correctly, you are in Mumbai so the first step you should take is to check the coverage of your country by the "usual" software and their clones like Igo (miomap), Tom Tom and Garmin and others ....
No need to spent time to install a software on your pda if there is no or poor coverage of your country.
Search for mapmyindia (shareware) on this forum and on ppcwarez. You will get the answer.
