Changing the OS language

Hi,
I have been using a Wizard for about a year now but last week i dropped it really hard and its having some problems. So, I was thinking about getting the Hermes.
I live in Taiwan and the Hermes that I can get through the phone company (unlocked. No phones here are locked) has a chinese version of WM5 on it. I was wondering how easy it is to change this. Is the ROM actually WM itself? Meaning that I could just download a ROM?
That's my main question.
Another question I'd like to pose to yuio guys is how you feel abuot the Hermes in general especially as compares to the Wizard (if yuo were a past user).

Hi Marlz, I'm with you.
I have a XDA II since about 3 years and I'm pretty sure I was amongst the first who got the Language changed from German to English.
It worked nice until now. Today my PDA is acting up, the phone "hangs" a lot lately. I missed several calls due to that. Also, every time I want to send an MMS it does a hard reset...
Now, why am I telling this?
I'm in the process of buying a french Hermes (TYTN). So I said to myself, no big deal, just hop on the Forum and look for some info like I did some years ago and change it in English.
Well, in the mean time there is so much information on this site that I really can't see the wood through the trees, if you know what I mean.
If been surfing for a while now but I can't find a clear and simple guide or information in order to change the language.
Did you manage to do it?
Anyone with a clear guideline or link... feel free.

I think the step depend on what version of bootloader you have.

htc touch rom on hermes

Hello i'm a noob around theese parts and have a HTC TYTN (hermes) about an 6 months or so.
1st of all let me say i was simply amazed about the forum and the work been done here. Every ROM here is amazing.
I've installed the black majik rom which i think the best working ROM for hermes with the addons.(noob opinion)
Never the less i was wondering if is there a ROM with hability like the htc touch which exists for wizard and prophet

Doesn't exist. The thing you link in is an addon that works poorly and has not "touch" ability.

Man thanks for the link but has the same problem.
It's BIOTOUCH a plugin like touchflo but theese lack of some stabily acording with what i've read in the forum.

UpGrading Instructions

Hi,
I have been a member of this forum on and off for a good number of years now. Thank-you for all the hard work - I have wm6. I mess around with the PC etc all the time but have always been too scared to touch the PDA! I do not want a brick! I have searched this forum and found a number of instructions for upgrading or putting on another OS. I am unsure as to which one I should use - yes I am ready, I think to take the plunge. I really want just wm6.1 and no added programs, I will add all those as and when I need them. I am sick and tired of not using most of the programs on the PDA!
Has anyone any help for me please? I understand it is on my head, but someone told me that it really is not as difficult as I have made it out to be in my head!

Diamond tweaker. The beginning

Hi all. I have recently purchase the Touch diamond and have really been enjoying the funcitonality of it, although I am getting bored of the themes and games available.
A friend of mine told me about the site and you guys really seem to know what is going on. I have done a little research on new themes etc and there are a few things I want to ask, before of course asking for help
Firstly, I heard about something called flashing. I have no idea what it is but apparently it is quite a good way to upgrade the standard phone. Could anyone explain flashing to me?
And secondly, could anyone give me an idea or even an example of how to change the themes on my diamond by either flashing or by using a theme configuring programme etc. The help would be greatly appreciated.

New to Creating Themes

Hi guys!
I just got a brand the new htc Tilt 2 from AT&T recently, sad to say I use to be an owner of a nice Sony Ericsson Xperia X1, and couldn't afford the new X2 that I was hoping to get. But I heard the Tilt 2 was a good alternative for what I'm looking for in a phone.
Anyways I managed to get rid of the unnecessary items that AT&T nukes onto their phones but now I was wondering if you guys could help me out here.
Now I know about Windows Mobile's website about making themes but as fate would have it, it does nothing for me =(
So I was wondering if you guys have another alternative program I can use (I tried asking for help via window's website but they're of no help whatsoever) to create my own themes for my phone. Also I was wondering if there was such a program for the TF3D since AT&T has their darn logo all over my phone ><;;;;
Any help would be of great use. Thanks guys!
