German to English

Hello all,
I bought a T-Mobile MDA Compact and it came with German Windows software...
I don't speak a word of it!
Does anyone know how i can change it to English?
I looked all over the internet but i found nothing to download...
I am desperate as i can't use my brand new phone and i payed quite a lot of money to buy it!
Please help...

First of all thankyou so much for replying and trying to help out. However i try do do all u say in the specific link but when i click on MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe and try to run it i get an error saying the file cannot be found even though i can see it on my pc...

Hi Steph,
Are you sure you've extracted all the files from the shipped-rom, with winzip or winrar, to a single folder? You should get files like nk.nbf, enterbl.exe etc. If you got those files, just put the MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe in the same folder. Make sure you allow Act.Sync to connect to your magician via usb. Connect your magician with usb & execute MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe. This should be working, maybe you need to run MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe twice, first time gives error 120 & fixes this, second time it really updates your rom version.

I've tried everything u said... and more!
For some reason i can't manage.
When i try to run the MaUpgradeUt_noID it tells me that the RUU.dll is missing.
I put everything in one folder as u said.
I don't know if it's because the application cd is also in german and i can't understand a thing.

Don't know what you're experiencing, haven't heard this before. I do understand that you want to give up on this. Don't think that's it's your Act.Sync language giving you these errors, but you can always download the English Act.Sync from Microsoft.
Problem is I really have no clue what's going wrong on your side. What happens when you just run the plain shipped-rom? Gives it the error 120 or .... Are you sure it's a magician: device id PM10A or PM10B under start -> settings -> system -> device information -> identity (or something simular in German :-( )
You can try to update it with a SD-card flash, documentation http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=MagicianSDflash but that can be a hassle too.
I guess you're not living near Nijmegen in the Netherlands otherwise I would've done it for you.

USB Driver : Wher to find it ?

Hi everybody
I'm new on the forum.
I'va just purchased a second hand QTEK 2020 but the vendor has lost the CD.
Anybody knows where to find driver(s) to use the phone as Modem with my Laptop and an USB conection ?

Problem updating room

Hi everyone I have a Wizard 9100 G4 and i have tried to many times to change de room but everytime I tried I get a messege from my laptop wich has Vista that there was a problem, and my wizard goes white
I have tried with diferents laptops but i always get the same message
Can someone help me please

what is recmodding? how do i use it?

Hello all,
i've created a rom from a kitchen but I have a serious problem ...
I changed nothing but now my kitchen seems not to work anymore... It just creates bad roms...
I asked my mentor, Shady, how to fix this and he fixed it. He told me it has something to do with memory, with recmodding, ... but I didn't understand him.
Now, the problem is back, and I still cannot fix it by myself.
Can someone please help me, or teach me how to do this?

The problem is this: was stuck in bootscreen IPL 1.13.0001 SPL 1.13.0000.I tried many ROMs but went only with version 3.13.404.1 nl.Nothing has changed, still stuck with IPL 3.13.0001 SPL 3.13.0000 now.not connect with activesync goes uspl.I miss cd drivers,I do not find the original htc wm6 or wm5 just can not do anything to revive?

answer to your question: install the official rom first

that dude is posting in each topic that his artemis is bricked also private messages x 10 etc lol

my problem still isn't solved,
a member repaired my rom (don't know how, he said with recmodding in sys-directory) but now I made a new package and the fault is there again...
pls someone explain to me how to use recmodding, how to solve the problem

you dont have to use chevron, use the mfg app.
