Well after applying a couple tweaks to my KJAM. I have a problem now, I cant uninstall any program. I go to add remove and select remove it then says cant remove, do i want to delete from program list. I also cant reinstall the same app...unless i delete the old directory manually. It seems to me that it is some form of read only protection. any ideas ??
I'm getting the same error as well. I used to have an app on my Jam that would uninstall files and its better then the built in uninstaller. Right now i'm lookin for it but can't remember its name..
i got the same problem
Same here
I have had that problem as well. I have found that if I soft reset the device, then run the uninstall, the program is conmpletely removed without issue. I believe that this error is caused by something related to the program still running in the background.

Tried using ActiveSync to add/remove programs?
I too have the same problem and i soft reset to properly uninstall anything.
You can use SKtools 2.3.30 at http://s-k-tools.com/ to uninstall any program you wish to
works well? thanks for the suggestion
I had a version of Opera Mobile 9 beta installed and found it to be pretty bad so I uninstalled it and it made it so that clicking on URLs in SMSs and emails don't work. I then tried a registry repair with SKTools and blindly accepted what it wanted to do (which was a bad idea, I know). So now I have some missing registry entries (including the one for the default browser).
Is there any way to repair my phone without clearing the memory and reinstalling everything? It's been awhile since I did a backup so that wouldn't really work...
I'm running DCD's WM6.1 ROM. Maybe if someone could send me a .reg file with the IE-related registry settings it would repair it?
Thanks.
Oh nevermind. I just noticed DCD 3.0.4 is out anyway so I'll just reflash.
for anyone who wants to know how to fix this...install opera mobile 8.5 make it default, then uncheck default and uninstall opera and it will go back to pie as default
Good to know. Thanks!
... but what can one do if they have opera 8.65 installed and the eval period has expired? opera will no longer start so you can't undo the setting and uninstalling doesn't seem do clean up opera's settings and default back to ie.

Hi, I have installed Opera 9.5 and cant see any options in the Remove Program to uninstall it. Any idea how to proceed with the uninstall?
Many Thanks
Ayan
To remove opera 9.5 file associations and icon problems run this cab.
****This does not remove Opera 9.33/5. It only restores the file associations/icons****

Hello,
I have a problem with sipchange. I installed it to set the Touchpad as standard keyboard. The install was ok, I can start the prog, but when I reboot my X1, he cannot start SIPCHANGE because of a problem with the security of an certificate. Now I want to uninstall sipchange but it is not in the list where I can uninstall programs. What can I do?
Greetings
Pluppi
Thats a tough one.... Umm did you try reinstall SIPCHANGE?
Hello,
I donĀ“t know how to reinstall
Just throw the cab back on ur phone and run it from file explorer. Most likely it will say it needs to uninstall the previous version and even it fails to do so it fix what ever caused the problem.
If I do that, I get a message that it can not be erased, but I can install it if I want. If I do that and try it a next time, I recieve the same message
Do a hard reset, that will get rid of it.
Is there a way to unistall manila (manually) and then instal it again?because a problem appeared with my dial pad and i want to fix it.
Hope someone can help me
You cannot uninstall manila, the best way to fix your error is by doing a hard-reset or uninstall the program that caused the error.
Hope this helps.
i am trying to unistall herg62123 Slide to Answer, and it shows me a message telling me that it cannot unistall this program.Do you know a way to manually unistall it?
Yes you should be able to uninstall it with SKTools, I usually use it when I am having trouble uninstalling a program.
ok.I will try and tell you.Thank you for your help
Hi community! i have a little problem. since a few hours i am not able to open my drafts-folder anymore. if i choose folder->drafts my mail programm quits with following errormessage:
"The application Mail (process com.htc.android.mail) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again"
-- -so i was searching for a fix for this problem. one possible solution was to delete all data over application-manager (settings->manage applications->All->Mail->Clear Data).
it worked only as long as i saved another message in draftsfolder.
-- i also tried to use ROM Manager's option to "Fix Permissions". that worked a few times for other problem, but not this time.
-- i was using DL.DesireZ.v3.3.final.nand by dandiest and yesterday i flashed to new version 3.5. i thought my problem was gone, but its still there..
i dont know why this is happen even if i flashed a new version..
thanks for any suggestions
greetings
EDIT: excess message database over root:
Ok, i did it. i've found a *.db file in rootsystem. /data/data/com.htc.android.mail/databases/mail.db
in this file is all you need. accounts, messages, settings etc.
with an explorer which is able to access root its possible to view and edit this file. i've got my message back (at least the content), now i will try to look what keeps my mailprogramm quitting.

How to deinstall HTC Skins?
i now know why this error happens to me. i now started gparted and formated my sdcard (fat and ext4) and flashed again< the error was gone. haha
so i started to set up my phone and reinstalled my applications. to be sure i tested every time i installed an application my drafts folder.
after install of a HTC Sense Skin called "rEVOlution" from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=801928 my mail programm brings the same error as before when i want to access drafts:
"The application Mail (process com.htc.android.mail) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again"
so for me this skin causing this error. i know have to know how to deinstall it?
edit: yes thats it. if i change back to default htc skin i am able to access drafts... weird.
solved
to remove the skin and get rid of this error (in this case) you have to delete following files and folder:
/data/data/com.htc.skin.revolution
/data/app/com.htc.skin.revolution-1.apk
then restart. done.

Issues: There might be FC with gmail, then just clear your gmail user data in app settings.
