i have test these that you've listed. it do not work.
actually, this is like the seventh time i've tried/tested on FIxOverBatteryIconsonly.
latest installation were from your link. also tests done before this were reference from xda-developers.
Sad to say, they all don't work no matter how i've tried....
anyway, i appreciate your help and again, i really wish and hope for a solution to have a battery icon like FIxOverBatteryIconsonly to work with my Touch HD, TouchFlo pls...
The Battery icon works perfect on my Touch HD.
I have installed the files on the phone, not on the sdcard !
After installing you must reboot the phone.

yes, i've installed into phone and not memory card. it don't work...
have tired replace that dll in my windows directory and also tried w/o replcement in my dll and still won't work...
i'm sad...
I confirm that FIxOverBatteryIconsonly do works on HD !!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have it installed right now.

It should work fine. I have it installed now. What else do you have installed? I found that it doesn't play nice with SPB Pocket Plus as that also has its own battery icon settings, so it may be a similar conflict.
i found the route cause of my battery icon problem already!!!!
it's my TweakHD!!!!
no wonder no matter what i do, how i do, how many times i tried it won't work. it's bcos there's a batter icon setting within TweakHD that changes the registry and restricts mi from doing any thing that has to do with the battery icon!!!
oh my!!! i'm one big stupid dump!!!!
for everyone that had advise, help and comments in any way trying to help, I sincerely that you from the bottom of my heart....
On my touch hd it works and I have although installed HD Tweak.
Dont forget to install the sdkcerts.cab that is the only reason if it was not working.

Actually, they do work together! <= BACK TO THE BASICS => Install the items IN THE EXACT ORDER that TomF1979 suggested. Soft Reset phone. In HD Tweak, Setting 5.1 = Show & 5.2 = Time. Voila, it works on mine, kurtfhouse, ktsak, xroht, TomF1979 & Atze001. If that doesn't work, Soft Reset again. Good Luck, dude.

FInixNOverBattery.cab , which is what I use, changes ALL the icons on the top bar. Looks really cool, too. FInixNOverBatteryIconOnly.cab is just the battery icon. BTW, Congrats on getting it working.

I found a really great battery meter in this ROM http://pdaviet.net/showthread.php?t=33272. I had been looking for something like this, but didn't find anything suitable. So, I ripped the battery meter and cooked into my own ROM. Here's a screenshot of it on my phone:

The OEM package is working on my Kaiser.
I also made an updated (for the second time) cab version.
I really like it. I'd rather have my clock instead but it DOES look great, very official looking! Could it be put in the task bar, maybe?
This little app looks great, but when I try to install the cab file, it erorrs that it is not signed with a trusted certificate. My phone is unlocked and the Cert check is disabled in the registry. Not sure why it won't install, never had any problems before.
Try installing "Magic Button", a task manager by transcreative. They have a battery meter that looks almost exactly the same

@ems: oh crap. i forgot about that... i'll fix it when i get a chance. i read somewhere about someone having the same problem. i'll just pull up the thread and repost the cab.

Have you guys noticed any compatibility issues with Manilla2D?
Installing SDCerts.cab and the Soft Reset, still does not fix the problem. I still get the error when trying to install the program that it is not digitally signed with a certificate, blah...balh...blah....
I am running Manila2D, but I disabled it and still no luck.
well to be honest i have no idea whether or not a cab would work. If you'd like to try ROM cooking then that's another story. It is possible that the cab i made is bad. To see whether or not the cab installed properly check HKLM\Security\Resover\Bitmaps and report what you see.

That was from this thread.
I extracted that cab and it has only phcanoverbmp.dll. My cab has phcanoverbmp.dll in addition to another dll file.
I'll try to sign it and repost it.

Well I installed the cab and something changed because the battery icon isn't the one from my ROM anymore but it's also not the one you have either...it changed mine to just to the normal battery icon from WM 6.

There're indeed similarities. I installed few days ago this version (the one you're talking about). It is not only changing the battery icon, but also PIN dialer, icons in the call history...That's why I uninstalled it.
The version from this post applies the same changes (PIN dialer and so on) :-/. However, for some reason, the battery icon is OEM, not the one you show in your first post. i used the second cab you made.
Did anything become of this. It looks fairly professional..

i should have ran a few apps before making my prior post.
once u start running some apps..shortly there after, it crashes.

No QVGA/6.1 Working for Me
For the record, I've tried the files in the first post as well as:
2 versions of GadgetFreak's QVGA port of TSowen's Taskbar 6 Elite V3 (from PPC Geeks)
A GadgetFreak QVGA port of Taskbar 6 Elite
Arthemus Taskbar V3
Arthemus Taskbar V3_2
A couple of other QVGA battery fixes
None work correctly. The Arthemus taskbar changes the battery icon and that's it. If you like the square design found in the V3 version shown in here, then you can try it.
I've also directly swapped phcanOverbmp and shellres dlls with no luck. Looks like this phone has one odd set of icon files.
FWIW, the Taskbar 6 Elite CABS that GadgetFreak posted behave oddly for me. Once either is installed, they change the battery display and show a distorted speaker icon in the taskbar. But they can't be uninstalled or overwritten without throwing a weird permissions error. So to get rid of them you need to factory reset the phone. Be warned.

Because I like the lay-out of the official HTC website, the skin is based on all its visual looks. It was difficult to find the right sources, because some png's were placed in the /windows folder, but also a few images were packaged in a dll file. Fortunately, after hours of work, I was finally satisfied with the result.
I hope you like it!
Backup first before install! I'm not responsible if you have to hard-reset your device!
Note:
1. It only works right for (W)VGA devices with the ported Tachi/Topaz/Rhodium Notification Manager installed.
If you haven't got it, you can get it here (Thanks dharvey4651, xboxmod and other developers)
2. Also the skin does only work in Portrait mode, as I never use Landscape. Maybe I'll make it working in landscape too, but then again: only if there are enough requests for it.
3. The images show Dutch language, but every language is supported.

Skin for HTC Topaz/Rhodium/Tachi menus
I've changed all resolutions to make it compatible with all menu enhancements. I hope it will work now, please post feedback!
WVGA and VGA are supported.
Install instructions:
Backup first
Unzip HTCMenus*.zip and copy HTCMenus.bmp to the /windows folder.
If you use the Tachi Enhancement, use HTCMenusTachi.zip, for Topaz HTCMenusTopaz.zip and so on.
Uninstall instructions:
Just delete HTCMenus.bmp, soft-reset and Windows will do the rest
Note: Every language is supported!

There should be no difference in speed, actually it should be faster... because the images I changed are now simpler than first. But what's exactly the problem?
I didn't know there are different versions of the Menu Enhancements.
The resolution of the BMP depends on your chosen Menu Enhancement. The skin I first uploaded was only compatible for the Topaz Menu Enhancement.
Now, I've scaled all everything so everythng fits right.
In the first post, you can now download the version you have (Topaz/Tachi/Rhodium)

That's weird... what ROM do you use? And are you sure you have the enhancement installed?
If i am running a ROM with no enhancement installed, will your cab work for me? Or where can i download notification enhancement?

No, it won't work. In this thread you can find a cab that should install the enhancement. After that, you should be able to install the skin.

Hi ElCondor, good job and thanks for your effort rescaling it for every resolution! (+1 for landscape). I like this skin but I think it would be better if you can make it black on white (more white than black) for better integration. I'ts just a suggestion

Good news. Now another question (sorry): once installed, will all the settings be modifiable using Advanced Config -> menu -> More settings -> SmartTouch?

ok, well what if i ONLY install the newer version...is everything in the old version included in the newer version???
uhhh so is this thing uninstallable or wut...seems very suspect that this app wont let u uninstall..makes u think its a virus or remote control app via from some guys computer who can hack ur **** cuz u cant remove the app lol like a trojan or something...shiiiit, im not in that much of a hurry to utilize my zoom bar. gimme a call when this thing is out of beta

Hi everybody,here is my first cook wm 6.5 rom for opal.I knew after joing opal that we opal users have not good bug free wm 6.5 rom....Here is my attempt to create almost bug less rom.I was cooking wm 6.5 rom for gene also....so from past experiences i present this rom as less as buggie.
INSTRUCTIONS
1) For those who have a problem in starting homesettings and internet sharing,I would advice to install Sdkcerts.cab in device memory attached below after flashing rom,when the sdkcerts.cab installation is complete please reboot your device immediately
2) If above trick not worked then Please hard reset your device one time after flashing the rom to have working home settings,internet sharing and other older bugs..
3) For sms not sending problem....
go to settings>system>advanced configuration>messaging>change the threaded messaging to disable.....now you can reply any sms by send button....and for new message type the mesge and then tap and hold below the message and choose send.......it works
If you don't like system status while tapping on upper right taskbar then do the following change in registry:
HK_L_M>software>Htc>EnlargeTitleBar>Enable ----change the dword value of Enable 1 to 0......
arkswitch task manager included that can be used by tapping on left upper task bar...
Install attached bticonnotifier.cab in your device to show taskbar bluetooth icon when bluetooth is on.you can download other task bar icons available in development and hacking forum to modify taskbar icons to new one style....

Tried to d/l thru IE&M.Firefox but when I extract the file it shows that it has a built-in trojan virus in "opalcustomruu.exe" file.
Sorry, I tried it 2 times.
Would appreciate if you could have it upload thru Megaupload/Rapidshare/Deposit files???????????????

just delete opalcustomruu.exe... the only important file is the RUU_signed.nbh... just copy it where your ROMUpdateUtility.exe is located.

But what I did was I disable my PC anti virus and have the file extracted as well as flashing. Everything works fine now.

@Rem, indresh and eabrillos First of all congrats eabrillos on you first rom for opal. Now i request all of you can you please confirm whether today setting... etc problem is gone after hard reset?? I will be waiting for your replies please reply as soon as possible

For me this ROM works very fine after flashing and hard reset but would prefer very lite version if Indresh88 could share and have patience cooking it.

I have tried it in 2 other opal devices.......it runs without problem...
If any bugs found!!!!! I will happy to help you.....

It shows on upper taskbar....during receiving files...

When Bluetooth is turn on, Bluetooth icon is not shown in Taks bar
Seems that , the same old problem is still there. And its again based on luck sometimes work sometimes dont ouff, i have got many solutions for this problem but all have alternate problem like rom speed will increase, its response time etc but then bluetooth wont work......
