Official ROM-update thread (9th dec)

Hey, I didnt find any good threads about the new official rom that HTC uploaded the 9th of december.
I see a lot of peope that talk about the sms-issues, improvements of graphics but the only improvements I can see is (look below) and the upgrades there does not seem tempting enough for me to reset all data.
Improved Functions:

Hello all,
Finally iam releasing this rom which is in a next level than any other wm 6.5 or 6.5.x rom only for viva in the sense that it has got some major modifications. Okay now ready to evolve your phone? hey wait a min i thought first a test version would be a excellent idea. So that makes this rom only for little advanced users and not for daily usage.
So here you go the bug fixed/features.
The major problem that is wifi auto start has been fixed
Originallly the scrolling of start menu is not smooth without some type of tweak here without tweaking it is.
No sms bug
lite rom nbh size approx 54.2 mb
ezinput keypad included, dont worry its not that 8mb one its only 1mb
New drivers from latest spanish rom 1.57.707.3
Ultra fast feel the speed yourself
no 3rd party app
Keyboard now hides on single click
This rom has no titanium (intentionally removed will be added after testing). Okay now as a tester please report the following things.
If you have dataconnection active then setup connection and try to connect if it connects open a webpage on you phone, working? report here (i have done some tweaking coz if which it wont connect but if its not connecting for all i will remove that tweak)
The speed that i mentioned can you feel = ultra fast
The phone must be more responsive is it?
Was the scrolling smooth
And then report all the bugs / essential feature missing here. (remember only essential feature)

Edit: Goodbye, Touch Viva. Was a great experience to learn something new.

Bugs/features adding deleting that will be done on final version :-
Titanium will be added
Taskmanager will be added (Arksoft or showcase)
IE problem will be fixed
Caller id display will be fixed
Scrollbar will be removed

Successful fixation:
1. No wifi auto start
2. Wifi works perfectly
3. Bluetooth works perfectly
4. SMS bug yet to confirm

Dude as i said its for testing purpose if u are asking this with the intention of daily usage then plz remember that this rom is in beta and not for daily purpose, if u would like me to complete this evolution rom which i said is completely a next level then please go ahead and test it and report back
Anyways, the answer for your question everything is default absolutely no customization no icon changing, no theme, no taskbar icon.

I'll try and step you errors, I am willing to do so, hopefully not have problems with speed, and with my internet connection provider, as well as to send sms

heres all the things i noticed:
-when i get out of the start menu to home screen....it keeps showing the previous page.....i guess thats because of the lack of titanium.
-please add showcase, since theres no task manager lots of programs remain open and the phone becomes slow in a few minutes.
-bluetooth OK
-wifi OK
-When IE starts it says cannot open blank page....but then works fine.
-When i get an incoming call, i cannot see the name or the number of the person calling.
-When i make an outgoing call theres a scroll bar on the right...for which i see no purpose.
Hope this helps.....what you've done looks good....hope you can figure out solutions for the problems i mentioned......thanks again.....

I just saw those details, but I like that is clean, with nothing changed, looks like a rom drawn from Microsoft, and that is what we all

#2: In the Lockscreen, you have to tap 'Unlock' twice to really unlock.
#3: After running some programs (ex. PPC PimBackup) the phone becomes very slow. I checked the processes using FcdSoft Task Manager v3.1 and found one of the process 'cprog.exe' was consuming about 60% - 80% of the CPU resource. I 'killed' it and it becomes okay again...
#4: In USB-to-PC pop-up, there is no 'Storage Device'!!! just ActivSync and Internet Sharing.
Suggestion:
#1: will it be okay if you remove 'Microsoft My Phone'
#2: and what about removing 'Marketplace' too?? I don't think many people uses it. If they want they can install it, right??

Yes this test rom is intended just to see the speed and particularly check if the wifi, bluetooth, today setting, volume button, and file explorer works perfectly. I will release the final version most probably today with latest build

Excellent feedback!
Ok lets start one by one as i said above once again this is meant for the major bug fixes that we faced. In final version all will be fixed actually the most of the bug u said they are intentionally done.
1. It is because due to lack of titanium.
2. Ya i will add arksoft or showcase.
3. & 4. Iam glad that bluetooth and wifi works perfectly.
5. Yes that ie problem that is build related i will change it to newer.
6. That is the dialer prob with all new builds oups i forgot to replace it will be done on final version.
7. Scrollbar will be removed.
So i can conclude that you have sent me a good feedback in which i expected the above things.

Your bug list
in 1., 2., 3. Its build related prob will change it.
4. Storage card is not coming that is because i havent put a customization that will automatically restart so you just have to once soft reset and plug ur usb cable and storage card will be there.

1. Volume button not working - No way its completely fixed. Still if its there that means iam misunderstanding please specify.
2. Bro in this case many want to close on pressing x button and many dont want so i keep it default that is it will not close.
3. Phone option please specify.
4. Windows default not working coz the rom dont have titanium
@All: Whoever participating in this beta testing please feel free to explore your devices and report here, all will be fixed tonight.
Edit: Forgot to say my opinion on freelancers suggestion:
Marketplace and myphone many of here want so i have added it my the way it wont consume much space.
Another imp thing: Someone confirm if the SMS bug fixed and working properly?

Everything that will be fixed on final version, will be put to the second post iam doing that right now check out in few mins. If i miss something remind me here.

Successful things that is fixed in this rom is displayed on 3rd post.

Hi Bro,
1. Volume button started working after few restarts.
2. Agreed with Windows Default
3. Phone option generally has "Vibrate when call connect"
Just one funny thing....when the device is locked you can very well click on "Start" then nothing gets clicked....
Please fix the display problem when person calls its not displaying the name...
rest all is fine...

For showcase you have to first go to home screen then it opens whereas arksoft can be accessed from any screen, so my vote goes to arkswitch let see what others say.
btw complete rom will be up in few hours or may be more than few hours.

[Q] how to fix freezing after lock screen in many V of android?can u help pls!

it work fine for days and i was trying to install more application but sens that it freeze ofter lock screen.
i tried to change the time for lock into 30 min,it work fine into that time but when it lock it buck freezing and i have to restart.

1. disable auto brightness in base in winmo
2. disable auto brigtness in android
3. take the phone very close to a powerful light source (such as a bulb) and keep it close for couple of seconds.

i did soft clean for the windows part and format the sd cart and from 3 hours it work fine for me.hope it will continue like that
im also having prob how to backup my contact on T-mobile site because i can't find the application of Mobile backup from t-mobile in morket.i already find it in other site but i get no connection.it don't work ?

I've been using the ZTE Open for a few weeks now - running OPEN_EU_DEV_FOS_V1.0.0B02 according to device information
Just a couple of things
There's no spellcheck avaliable? Found this to be quite annoying - also is it just me or does anyone else also find it hard to type with the onscreen kb/
Prior to the ZTE Open I was using an iPhone 5 mainly - I understand you cant really compare the iphone 5 to the zte open, but surely an auto correct is kinda basic?
Also - I find that at times the phone's slow to respond, is this due to the hardware or just early versions of the OS>? I havent updated
Lastly twitter always seems to crash-- tried loads of times, works fine, then when I click view more tweets or scroll down it just closes

Not like that.Haha.Android 8 and above is confirmed only for 16 series now. And new 16s will come with flyme 8.So Only new model phones will get android updates not older ones.

I have installed this version and I have several issues, hope you can help me:
1. I can't install apps from Google play store while using cellular connection, only with wi-fi. I granted permission to use the data to the play store.
2. All of my purchased apps from Google are not recognized by the app and state that I have to buy the premium version.
3. My contacts in the Google account can't be synced (other info of google is synced)
When I installed this ROM I cleared the data

After installation of google services via google installer,you need to allow all permissions of google apps names starting google in settings.Only open playstore after it.Uninstall services and do install again.Hope you got what i said.

If I'm willing to upgrade which one should I use. There are quite a few options such as: 7.2.0.0A, 7.8.7.16G, 7.8.7.24A or even 7.8.8.9A.
I can't find a out whats are the differences. For sure all of them are Nougat based. but then...
Could you please guide me which one to pick?!

I need the original build.prop of the rom Flyme 7.2.0.0A Stable Final. I made many changes without a proper backup. If anyone can send me a copy, thank you.

Choose latest 7.2.0.0 A if your concern is about getting more stability and security patches.
Choose latest beta A if you want slight more battery backup.

I have some issue with 7.2.0.0A. I already installed it. But when I try to login into flyme account I get a message that I'm still loged in with another account and I have to logout with that first. I bought my Phone 2nd hand and the seller told me he removed this phone from his account.
The interesting thing that if I use the 7.0.1.0G than I can login with my own without any problem.
I'm still negotiating with the seller how could és solve this.
Do you have any idea how could I overcome this issue if I can't manage IT with the seller?

Login on flyme account using computer and change the password there. Once password changed you have to login everywhere again since all active sessions gone out.

Is there any way to install a altered ROM on this phone? If I add or delete anything from the official ROM then it states it is corrupt.
Or is it possible to install TWRP on it? I think with that maybe its possible to install some tweaked ROM.

apparently there is no custom rom, twrp, xposed. what I recommend is to enable root and delete apps and system folders. I did and I gained more ram and less use of the processor in the background. and longer battery life

Never.It's not possible.Meizu will not allow us to unlock bootloader.
