Hello everybody.. I was playin around with the calendar on the home tab today and found out one issue with my diamond..
Only one appointment shows up on my home tab.. even if i flip the big clock upward (to make it small and show more appointment on the home tab) its of no use.. Cuz even then only one appointment entry shows up.. irrespective of whether the there are appointment entries immediately after the one showing up on the home tab, or whether there are for the next day.. I have seen the screenshots of a couple of other people using diamond.. And it is clearly visible that two appointments do show up when the big clock is flipped upwards and made small.. Could anybody tell me.. What could be the reason for this ??.. And how could i get this sorted ?!?..
I am constantly fighting it as well
I am still not sure I understand how it works on the home tab; there are times when I can see even 3 appointments while there are also times when the page stops refreshing and shows the old entry and does not change.
This is what I believe:
1. The page shows the upcoming appointment
2. During existing appointmetn, it shows the next one as well ... mainly when those appointments are adjacent to each other
3. It also shows the colliding apointments from time to time
However as I said, the calendar sometimes stops refreshing and the only way to get it updated is to a. restart touchflo or b. to re-sync through ActivSync

Remote software for TV, DVD etc.
What does anyone use for the above and what is everyone else looking for ?
woo.. I won't start about what I'm looking for - it's too much But I ordered (though it's on back order.. bah) the DevKit from MS, so maybe I'll make my own solutions in due time.
Anyway...
For the first two, just get one of the many utilities that allow you to launch a program from your Today Screen. I used tdLaunch right now, might move to cLaunch (same program, bit more functions), or use a different solution altogether. Then get...

...to rotate your screen

or
http://www.pocketgear.com/software_detail.asp?id=15943
or
http://www.pocketgear.com/software_detail.asp?id=16314 (includes a component)
...to turn your screen off. Please note that I'm using the last one, and it turns the entire screen off (not just the backlight, the LCD panel as well) - so it won't respond to taps or anything; you'll have to use the on/off button to turn the screen back on. I don't know whether the other two turn the LCD off, or only the backlight.
Then just launch the appropriate application from your today screen using the today screen launching app. Simple as that
just checked - the other two turn the entire screen off as well
You need one single SW: SPB Pocket Plus[/url]
when a new message is coming, a green baloon appears on the message tab (sense).
i must stay on the new message about 4 second for mark it "read".

I hope there's a solution for this.
Hi, One way is if you click on the Messages Home Screen tab with the green balloon you are then taken to the message, clicking on the message takes you to the conversation thread and hides the Messages Home Screen tab. If you hit the Back key straight away you are taken to the previous screen and the Messages Home Screen tab has been refreshed (no green balloon). That saves you about three and three quarters of a second (depending on your finger speed ). Damn, I had never considered this a problem, now you've got me thinking
I do as said there, open it and close it (same with emails)...altho it would be nice to set it to 0secs as I do in Outlook 2007
I have had my phone for about a month now, and use the weather function a lot by pressing just under the clock on the Home screen.
Today, out of the blue, I press it, and it appears to register (ie: the screen depresses) however nothing happens at all.
This happens regardless od whether I am connected to the internet or not.
The only thing I have installed is Resco Explorer, and made only a few registry tweaks, which I am sure were performed correctly.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this problem?
try turning the tab off and then on again.
Thanks for the reply, but I'm a little new to all of this.
What do you mean by "turning the tab off"?
when you go to the weather tab, you can update the weather of your location?
I've seen this a few times, the weather area turns off white when you tap but doesn't open the weather tab.
simple soft reset cures it.
No soft reset didn't fix it.....but....
Yesterday I clicked Menu, Personalize Home Screen Tabs.
I UNchecked "weather" because I thought what's the point of having a tab for it when I usually just tap under the clock.
I re-checked it, and now it works! I'm so sorry to have wasted your time! But truly appreciate your efforts in helping me. Thanks guys.
My problem is different, but the question is the same.
i'm in holland and since halfway last week my location in the weather tab failed to update, but i did get weather information... until 2 days later. now the whole tab is unable to update its information.
the weather tab has been disabled and reenabled with a sense restart in between. yesterday i had rebooted the entire phone. both events did not help.
i tried enabling wifi for the weather update, but no luck there as well.
also, i'm not the only one. i have a friend with a newer rom (1 month old phone) who has the same problem.
any ideas?
oh and ps: the reloading animation starts up and loads for a while. then stops suddenly without notification of failure or success.
pps: found a more on-topic thread for my problem: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=589132
I've searched and couldn't find an answer so here goes:
I bought 2 HD2s on release day. One had data connection problem and I returned it for a new one. The second has been fine, but I came to realize that the large "Missed Call" notification doesn't show up above the calendar. I'm not talking about the small indicator at the very top of the phone. I can't figure out if user error is the cause here (i.e. did I hit an option I didn't mean to?). Any ideas?
No one? This does seem to be a bizarre bug and I cant imagine it is truly a bug in the Sense stock TMOUS rom. I must have changed something about notifications settings somehow. Any thoughts?
Do you mean how on older phones with the older touch flo 3d like the Touch HD, have that Call History button which turns into 1 missed call if you have a missed call?
Then no its not meant to be there, they took it out (stupid yes). If you want it back, go the themes and apps section and download cookies home tab 1.7, you can add it there aswell a boatload of other features.
Oh! you mean this was an option from cookie? I have it installed on mine but not my wife's phone. I'll try this out!
And yes, what I meant was when you miss a call, a large notification gets popped in the middle of your screen right over the calendar. Thanks!
Hi!
I wonder if someone could tell me why the emails I've sent don't appear in the sent folder, neither in the HD2 mail application nor on my email account (using IMAP which works fine with keeping the inbox in sync; no Exchange used here). It's like I've never sent a mail although they reach their destination. I'd very much like to be able to access my sent mails in any way other then CCing myself or just sending the mails via the mail provider's webinterface...
An other minor issue: How can I force the active alarm (I mean the one that went of right now) of the default alarm application to display on the lock screen? After I've sent my device in for screen replacement (had image jittering and ghost presses while typing; gone with the new screen btw.) the resettet ROM (1.66) won't allow the ringing alarm to be displayed on the lockscreen. Now I first have to unlock and bring up the alarm application to disable the ringing alarm. Before I just hat to hit "disable" on the woken up screen although the device was locked before...
And while I'm at it... the volume bar on the music tab isn't there when I press the volume rocker. There just comes up a 1cm wide vertical bar on the left side (in sense's dark grey color). The volume changes just fine, I'd just like to have the volume bar back to see the current volume level.
I'm aware that the last two problems might be fixed with a hard reset but I've spent quite some time to get everything running the way I want (esp. the reg tweaks from the hints and tipps thread) which I don't want to go to waste. I've used no cabs I haven't used before on 1.66 and those I used worked fine before.
Thanks in advance!
