Hi,
I have seen a couple of people revamping the calculator to give it a better look etc and I am wondering if anyone is working or if there are different skins for the contacts page? I really would like it to have more of a touchflo kind of theme and maybe an alphabet down the right side for name searching ala iphone. I just think it could do with spicing up a bit, what do you think?
It DOES have an alphabet searching index on the side - and yes it is finger friendly.

I saw slither's cube demo and he had a sweet scrolling contact list.
I'm not huge on the built in contact list. I don't like much of ANYTHING about Windows Mobile that would REQUIRE me to use the stylus. That includes those little alphabetical buttons up top.
I have the sweet kaiser home app.. that sweet grey touch theme. The badass communications manager.
I'm not really happy with the "touch" themed dialer.. I understand that you can't move / size the dialing buttons, that's ok. I'm just using the stock dialer at the moment.
What I really want is some suggestions for contact list replacement. I don't want anything insanely over the top like slither's cube. I just want practical. Currently the contacts manager (or whatever it's called) is the least cool part of my setup.
Sorry
I missed this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=349246
ive spent about all my free time at work today searching around for an app that is basically just a today plugin app launcher with horizontal scrolling as is seen in the diamonds today screen interface at the bottom. basically the best way i could describe it would be a plugin exactly like cLaunch but with horizontal scrolling between the icons.
i would be willing to help out if anyone knows how to take cLaunch or its predecessor (cant remember its name right now, something like todaylaunch or something?) and add in the horizontal scrolling feature. if there are people out there that might be able to help out, maybe we could also take claunch and add in a feature to add multiple rows of icons, maybe each with individual lines of scrolling???
any help on this is appreciated
thanks.
Did You tried Throttlelauncher here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=390553
yeah sorry i meant to include this:
ive tried throttle launcher, ultimate launch, point ui, ifonz..... ive tried a lot. im willing to throw about any good looking app that at least some ppl like and test it out.
but all of those mentioned before try to just take over your today screen. thats too much, i am just hoping to either find or help make a today plugin, with customizable height as well.
>>>basically cLaunch with a scrolling feature is what this app would come out to be.
look again at ultimate launch... You can make a simple icon row (say 4 scross), and with a flick, it goes to another page of 4 icons, leaving the rest of the today screen intact. You can set height in it. Its GREAT!
Maybe BatteryStatus...take a look at their theme thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=350510
Ultimate Launch will do exactly what you're asking.
Just like cLaunch (single row if that's all you want) and you can slide / rotate through as many such rows as you choose.
You'll need to configure it appropriately.
You'll put it in the Today Items with Ultimate Launch in the appropriate order as you want (like cLaunch).
Then in UL config on "headers" set the Height to "0" (zero).
You're done. Add as many tabs as you want but keep the link count to a small enough number that they don't "wrap" to a second line and you've got cLaunch with scrolling.
with ultimate launcher if i did that wouldnt it basically do the same thing as claunch, just with customizable transitions. the scrolling im looking for wouldnt have pages like ultimate launch would with its icons.... itd be like how the diamonds bottom bar transitions.
pretty damn picky huh?? haha
UL is the answer.

Ultimate Launch is the app you are looking for, but you need to learn how it works.
thanks for all ur help guys. i guess i need to check out UL a little more!
thanks again.
I've started developing a theme for ThrottleLauncher, and I would like to know your opinion.
As a small explanation of the theme I could say it has 3 main rows + footer.
- In the first row you find a simple clock plus info on your next appointment in your agenda.
- On the second you get the contacts that you assign to the favorites category.
- The third row provides 7 shortcuts that you can personalize with your own apps + 1 for all of them.
- The footer brings up the following pages:
Contacts;
Weather;
Calendar;
Settings.
Not all of it finished so, one of this days I will post a cab to install it in your device.
Hope to ear from you...
Thats a very nice theme. I suggest you wait a bit before developing it all, because APBilbo said he would release v0.9.2 soon this week or the next. IMHO, I would say it's nice except the background doesn't really go well with the icons and some of the icons are pixelated. Besides that, it is a very good theme.

The graphics? Yeah... Ok.

Humm, I wasn't aware that the new version was coming out, but I agree with you. I'll wait a bit.
About the graphics, I also agree with you and as you were the first (and only) so far to refer that, what do you suggest? The icons on the apps are the ones from the .exe plus a background that I found out in some other theme (sorry to the author, but don't remember who you are ). The photos on the contacts row are from the phone's outlook.
Would you like to manage the graphics? I feel much better with the code lines...
Okay. v0.9.2 just got released today. I see a black line below the start button. I think you should place the clock a little lower. The icons are nice, but they don't really match the feel of it. I suggest you either change the background or change the icons to something like the iPhone icons, unless you don't like the iPhone icons, I mean totally your choice.

Very good to see the author of this great app reading my thread!!
Your help will be for sure of great use, but first I will try to "learn" your new theme and the changes in the code and then if I get really stuck in some problem I will be thanked for your help. I will!
Finally, thanks for this great piece of software!
Hi I discovered this skin from a post back in september 2008, i cant find it, but this skin is awesome! It has the hidden side zoom feature like in omnia builds AND best of all when your zoomed in a little page overview appears on the top left so you know where you are in the page. Why isnt this skin used in all builds? Just drag this in you application data/opera9/skins! Anyone know of any better skins or has solved the top and bottom bars appearing in build 15746?

Because some of us hate (hate hate HATE) the overview and the zoom slider. No offense though, I'm glad you found something that works well for you.
any chance of getting this skin in qvga?
Screenshot?

What size skin is this? VGA?
It is included in 2808 version here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=486502
I really like the hidden zoom myself too.. The bottom zoom feels like I'm "manually" doing something, the hidden zoom feels natural.
So anyone, will this work for QVGA?
Why homescreen shortcuts aren't seen is beyond me, however I have noticed that there are two shortcuts found on the homescreen already. Call History and Calender, pressumebly all these do is reference a location on the device.
So my question is, can we make it so we can add our own shortcuts, to link to another location or possibly an application?
Adam
I would donate 25 dollars or euros for anyone who can pull this off, I almost can't live without my tasks there
If you both are talking about ammending the 2 right and left shortcuts on TF3D Home tab then you should go search around.. Its possibel to change with many apps or via registry..

I've already managed to do this with an application called TouchFlo Detacher.
I'm referring to the two shortcut links placed underneath the clock or to the right of it when in landscape mode. You can't miss them.
I'm just wondering if it's possible to add or change them.
I found a way looking in many forums, they say you need to use a famous tool called ssmaho... try to look here on xda, where it's hosted. I downloaded it but I don't understand how to use it... so far no luck in linking pocket informant to calendar and home tabs. any help would be very appreciated!
Change yes, add too, probably not
See http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=497197 for various changes
But I can't get the plugings working http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=508102 to add Tasks
This thread is very old however I don't like to create threads for questions which have been already asked:
I use a Jackos Hybrid ROM with WM6.1 + Sense 2.1 (fastest I've ever seen), but I miss at least 2-3 shortcuts to most popular programs on my homescreen. Is there a theme or a patch which couls allow me to put non-standard shortcuts directly on my HS? Independently on the history and calendar fields.
I've tried google, but there are tons of unnecessary information but I couldn't find anything helpful. Here, on xda, I've found information about some mods (like MaxManila) but none is reported to work with WM6.1. Besides these mods are heavy, and I don't need a comprehensive application but a small patch to have 3 icons on HS.
Thanks in advance guys (and girls of course)!
