I always get the message that my battery is running low and need to charge it again.
Does wifi card eat power?
Only had out of cradle for 90 minutes or so.
Also is there a way I can see backup battery power?
Only had it a few days and still gettin used to it.
yes WiFi needs power, and so does Bluetooth. but only if it's turned on. Although some say the wifi-SDcard uses power even when turned off.
Adjusting backlight also helps to save power.
Bad reception is also a reason for power consumption.
Start/Settings/System (on the bottom tabs)/Power
There a lot of free today plugins which shows your battery power on the today screen.
What Rom version do you have? Start/settings/System Device information/Version.
I ask this because 1.72 has improved power usage.
Hi guys,
If I remember correctly, in the previous WM versions there were options to change the speed of the CPU and that way to save the power and reduce battery consumption?
I am preparing for long, few days GPS assisted hikings and would like to minize the power comsuption of my HTC HD2.
Maybe there good apps for that too?
Thanks.
It already does that automatically.
Consumption of a GPS app like GPS Tuner with screen off is already very low, giving about 8hrs battery life (if you don't do anything else, of course).
Does anyone notice that after moving applications onto your sdcard your power consumption become noticeably more?
I switched my Galaxy S5 (SM-900M ... NG3 july kernel stock ROM) to Power Saving Mode (not Ultra Power Saving Mode). Despite the default internet browsing being laggy even when doing simple tasks as scrolling Facebook, I don't see any noticeable gain in battery life. What's wrong with my phone? :crying:
Power saving isn't meant to be used while playing the internet....

I selected every available option. The Power Saving Mode is very frustrating. I definately would like it to make my limited 4G experience a little bit longe on the S5. Power Saving Mode on a mobile device should be able to make your online time much longer...

No, it won`t. It extends batterylife when the phone is in idle mode so you can use the phone for a longer period
Has anyone ran into any performance issues using these features? I noticed increase choppiness in maps when scrolling though the map. Once I turned off app power saving and battery optimization for Maps, it ran like it did the first day I got it. (No lag/choppiness). Apparently removing Chrome from battery optimization made scrolling even smoother as well. To think I was about to return the phone since I felt like there wasn't much improvement over the s5.
I'm curious on which apps we should have optimized since it appears that it messes with general app performance and doesn't just "stop constant syncing" as it claims it does.
When I turned on ultra power saving mode it deleted almost all the icons / shortcuts I put on the launcher and I had to readd them all again.
I am having the same issue with ultra power savings. All my app Icons on my home screen disappear after turning it on and off. Its soo annoying, has anyone come up with a solution?
Thank you
