OC xpéria ? - XPERIA X1 General

Hi !
I think my X1 is pretty slow in vidéo (like 20fps when I watch a serie with coreplayer).
Do you know a way to have full speed when watching vidéo with the X1 ? Or a soft who lets us overclock the X1 ?
Thx

Video recording at 320x240 on the S200

Hi ! Is there a way to record video at 320x240 with the Prophet ? (my unit is the S200). Possibly by using software or something ? (normally the max resolution for video recording on the S200 is 176x144, which is kind of strange considering that S100 and other HTC/Qtek even older models are capable of recording at 320x240 resolution)
Many thanks.
anybody ?
Coolcamera can switch resolution up to 640x480.
Unfortunately the framerate drops to 10fps @320 and 4fps @640 what is not so great.
I am wondering also why other devices are so much better with video..maybe therer is a different solution out there using also the Intel graphicsprozessor onboard.
If anybody has a better solution i am interested in it also.
there was a bug once
before i upgraded ROM it showed 320x240 video resolution option but did record in the small (140x80 or sth). After upgrading I thought they would fix it but instead they just removed the option!!
are new's about de SW to use a 320x240 video resolution ??
use CoolCamera, you can use 320x240 but the framerate will probably be low. I found that framerate depends especially on SD card speed. So the SD card is the bottleneck. If you use hi-speed SD card framerate should be accetable. Good ligting is also very important

how to record smooth video on wizard ?

i'm with the cr86 1.9 Rom , and i love it , i think it's best ROM out of many.
anyway, is there any way to record a video with no lags and missing frames ? so it will be smooth and not Skippy .
sorry for the bounce , any soultion ?
u can use a program called coolcamera and set it to the following
@ image : set to small gray - size 240*320 - quality 45% - jpg420
@ video : set it to 15fps save to device memory not the card
& enjoy smooth avi video
thank you for your answer, will try it

which video player?

hey guys,
i just tested the core player, cause I heard it should be better than TCPMP --I had this before, until it doesnot work more..so can I have a feedback from you guys..which player..recommendation very appreciated are working?
I like to switch a vid in ma mobile and watch it..but due to higher bitrates,,,pixels and fps the most arent running..
so is there a player capable of some variation in those parameters (like fps, codec, pixel)
I learned by trial and error that Core player seems to not playback files with fps 29,97/30..even when only pixel: 340x280 and 500kb bitrate...
Looking forward to your feedback
Iam using herald with wm 5.0! no custom rom..yet
Just saw that core is the extended and pay-version from tcpmp..so I guess nothing better than the other?!?

Weird Speed Difference with 6.5 and 6.5.x Roms !!! ( Some Tests )(Divx+Subtitle+GDI)

Dear Friends,
I have realized that there is weird cpu speed difference between 6.5 ( 2189x ) and 6.5.x ( 235xx ) roms...
I am fan of playing divx files with subtitle in gdi mode from my phone and i realized that tcpmp plays the same files with different behaviours on different roms... Then i decided to do a deep investigation and here are my results... ( i tried many roms but i am giving the results of latest roms )
Test: Different bit rate Divx avi files played in GDI mode with subtitles plugin in tcpmp ( versions 0.72 , 081rc ):
Leo Lite Rom : 21892 based ( not charging , on mobile )
Tcpmp shows cpu speed @ 500 mhz and plays the divx avi file without a frame skip..
Same X avi file bechmarked with tcpmp and result is %130~
( GDI mode with subtitles )
Leo Lite Rom : 23534 based ( not charging , on mobile )
Tcpmp shows cpu speed @ 416 mhz and plays the divx avi file choppy with huge frame skips.
( GDI mode with subtitles )
Same X avi file bechmarked with tcpmp and result is %90~
Okey i accept that tcpmp is old and it reports the cpu speed wrong but as a result, even the reported cpu speed is wrong, it measures a speed value and we can get a clue !!! Since 6.5 and 6.5.x rom cpu speed is reported different !!!
I am definately sure that 6.5 roms ( 2189x ) have better cpu utilization on mobile ( not charging ) than phones with 6.5.x roms...
So if you are playing divx with subtitles on tcpmp , you may choose an 6.5 ( 2189x ) rom to get more spped and fluid playback...
But if you are charging then you may get good results on both 6.5 and 6.5.x roms...
Also we may have better overall speed because of this cpu utilization process of 6.5 based roms...
Hope all this helps...

Thats strange for sure... but 21892 builds have alwasys been faster and much more stable compared to 6.5.x versions
But the I have not had any problem with any builds related to the AVI frame rate! May be the more experienced gurus can explain this
Cheers.

Dear faisalee,
If we use directdraw mode to play avi then there is no frame skipping problem. But for subtitled avi playback , we have to use GDI mode to initialize subtitle plugin in tcpmp. In this mode we need full cpu horse power to play at decent frame rates and 6.5(2189x) series give us this horse power but 6.5.x series not...
In charging mode, both types of rom have good frame rates as cpu reaches its full power on charging i guess... That doesnt make sense for me since i watch movies on bus and metro or long time travels...
Kind Regards...
Interesting...Thanks for your report...
