Hi!
I love my EXEC. I'm really impressed with this toy- but..
1. I do not like MS (like we can see WM2005 is NOT tested, IS slow, IS buggy, IS TOO EXPENSIVE -btw why do I have to pay for soft if i do not want to use it luke O2000?) so how do you sync your Universal with Linux? Which app is the best? How you put files into your PDA? How to install EXE? Wine seems to be not working- but not tested this well yet...
Why ActiveSync is only for windows?
O, one more question- WHY I've to install soft for my PDA using WINDOWS???? AAAAAAAAA!! Every time I've to ask my freind to use his laptop "just for 3 min". Ofcourse he is always asking "ooo, Linux is not good enough? ROTFL"
2. Have some one tried to install ANY Linux on Universal?
Googled for soem time- but notthing interesting so far...
Thanks in advance for any help!
Cheers

Didn't have time to check this execs- but I've to use same tools for my wireless card (ehh, ndiswrapper).
Heh, and I'm using Resco Explorer so I can map SAMBA share and install from SAMBA )
I'll try to write small script to do this (install cabs) with one click (or sh command)

Download the hero 2.73.405.5 ruu, then download OpenRUU (link in my sig) and follow the instructions there & you will be back on the stock rom.

Ideas how to do this?
Install a virtual box and put windows on it... i know it sounds stupid but i am serious here.
Awesome idea. Actually i have Virtualbox!
or flash these.. http://android.modaco.com/content/h...oms-radios-in-update-zip-format-for-gsm-hero/

I went to this link and I don't think that anything of it is for Intel-based PC's. Any way to install it on our PCs? :S
You can install it to your PC but if you are not careful with harddisks, you can loose all your data there...
Best option is : Remove your HDD's and try it on a Flash disk or SD card...

Try reading that site a bit more maybe?
Clicking the link to get there doesnt count.
Try it on a virtual pc such as virtualbox, don't mess your hdd.
I couldn't get to run ICS versions on my x64 / x86 PC at home. But 2.3.3 and 3.x versions of android are working well with VMWare 8.x without any issue.
Where does the S II come in to all this?

Exactly Warren.
This thread is as pointless as the one the other day about putting Win7Phone on an SGS2 :-|
