Did you replace sms.dll finally?
I do not really know if you read this message, because you ask for this dll years ago. But my question: did you replace the sms.dll? i wonne write a programm using another gatway that this of my carrier, and i believe that i have to write a custom sms.dll. But i do not really know. i cant find any documentation. can you help?

the gene xip wince.nls help

Dear all helpers
Recently Mr Mun developed a fantastic wm6 rom for all gene users. (thanks for the hard works mun!!!). Me and nirvana are among those happy Chinese gene fans. We’ve been waiting for such a long time and finally we’ve got it in our device now.
We now facing a rom translation problem that need some one to help us out here.
Well, I will make it as short as possible.
The wince.nls file from XIP made the translation process impossible
Nirvana did bring up a suggestion that is to delete the wince.nls file (originally in the xip), and then add the wince.nls in the SYS.
Can we do sth like that to solve the translation problem?
Any suggestions/ helps r appreciated!

Hi there,
Is there any possiblity to edit and rebuild wince.nls?
I wonder if some oen can help me or tell me how to edit & rebuild (wince.nls).
After I translated shellres.dll.***.mui my HTC can not uplaod what I wrote inside the shellres.dll because WINCE.NLS not contain the same words. So I need to open wince.nls and rewrite it then rebuild it to get what I want.
Plz, if you know a way just say to me here or u can send a PM!

Hello guys, i'm new here, i am a noob programmer and trying to get something to work but its just driving me nuts.
i need to add arabic locale to windows Mobile 6.1, so i replaced the wince.nls, it worked but the hopper failed miserably, itried using small applications like "usemynls.exe" but it didnt work too well with the hopper either, i need help, and i will pay for it, plz if you have any idea about what am talking about message me or post here and i will appreciate that, i dunno how much a task like this would cost so we can discuss this,

Search for Paragon or Lingvosoft (I don't exactly remember which), one of them has localization packs for most languages. You said You are willing to pay for it, so buy the soft.

OK, I understand. But as I am no coder, I have no further ideas, except maybe You could still get the soft and look at what it does/replaces during installation - that could help You get forward.

dump arabic language sys from any device and use its language files in your sys

0409=english
0407=german
get files corrosponding to arabic (you can dump an official arabic ROM to get these)

The wincenls probably goes mad as it doesn't have all the resources. Dump an Arabic SYS, grab of the resources, rebuild it, and then try.

Sure you can, just open the exist cab with it...

Most likely it does quite a few of the regtweaks you want to implement and maybe even all of them. If it doesnt, please post them in the thread so that the author can review them and maybe implement them in upcoming versions!
