.... failure tho
so any ideas on alternatives lol??
TCPMP has an eq in it, not messed, i only use that for vids really
the bass with the dsp_en was so good. how do i get a similar effect? how come people dont write apps like that lol
I accidentally came across this on the net. Its a hell of a plugin. Im surprised I hadnt heard of it before.
http://v2r.ag/
i saw it sometime ago, but found it a bit awkward to work with. and i couldn't get some of the icons and layouts to display properly. but the look is good.
I'm interested in the Media Player plugin....Will download shortly
So, is it free? I can't find it...
Interesting.. I cant decide if I should give it a try or not
I seen it a while ago, But didnt know it was free.

Nice find Vukile!
Odd that all of us PPC geeks would have missed this. Has anyone tried it? Is it worth it? Last time I tried a new cool UI type app (PointUI), I ended up having to hard reset....not really looking forward to that right now.
Thanks.

The UI is free, but the plugins and contact software is not.
I'll give it a try, hope this won't end in a hard reset

did you had to do a hard reset due to Pointui?
tried activeui and activeui multi touch, but it looks crappy.. maybe not for vga screens.. (X51V)

I guess I probably did not have to resort to a hard reset due to PointUI. But there is no "proper" uninstall...so it takes manually removing files and registry keys. Rather than wonder what else it left, I did a hard reset. It was a good time to flash a new ROM anyway
Unfortunately it's not very good. Both the normal as well as the multi-touch are a pain to use. I might not have noticed but what exactly is so multi-touch about it?
Wow.. what a nice find. It works perfect with my Hermes using KinOkin 1.30b Rom.. It's not strange, it just different. I like to try it more..
screwed my phone up...played hell trying to get it off....
i kind of like it....using it on my tilt....takes getting use to but the look of it i think is better than pointui....
Its like Throttle Launcher scrolling on the today screen. this app is very much underrated.. As for PointUI, SK Tools cleaned up after it and I used the softkey applet to set my softkeys again. In the same breath, if you ask me, its Mortbuttons in a different guise, at least its free.
Interesting ui, but ultimately not very good and very usable! Slow menus and unresponsive scrolling don't help.
Looks nice, but is a pain to use, will keep an eye on it though as it has potential.
Also once you uninstall it, it leaves its little installation system on your phone!

Agreed.
Works though on prophet. But not very fluently.
really like its looks and functions. it's just very very slow. otherwise, i like it more than pointui.
I just installed it and I like it so far. I turned off the touch vibrate for everything except the keyboard for typing.
Now I need a better keyboard? Anyone have one?

been using it for a while now.
I really like the touch feedback.
I downloaded it after seeing this post. i have to say i really like this app, does anyone know the impact on battery life?
It does have quite a substantial impact on battery life.
I have it also its really cool! Also used it for awile.

No it doesn't. I use it. It has no extra impact on battery life.
don't think I noticed anything drastic with the battery either. however, anyone know why I unplug my phone from the charger, and its at like 90 percent?
i use it on my touch pro, and love it the haptic feedback.
been using it a while and i love it and cant wait to see how far the app goes
I have been using it for a while, and I also really like the response!
I love it - it works great on my Ignito

second that!
touch pal is sooooo easy!!!
Ah, that's what I was looking for!
I loved the touch feedback on the Samsung's F480 and was a litle disapointed when didn't see this on Diamond.
This Touchpal is a touch feedback drive with a whole new keybord, right?
Nah... want just the feedback.

Anybody a part of this beta yet?

Can you clarify? I have no clue what you are asking. What is spd beta?
Pardon me....that's supposed to be SPB. SPB Mobile Shell is sort of a home replacement. It's a really drastic difference though. It's been around for Windows Mobile for a while and now they have an open beta to test the Android version. Here's a link. They have a nice little video that gives a good idea of what it's like and also a direct link to where you can register to get into the beta testing group.

I was just curious if anyone has gotten into this yet with a Galaxy S device.
Looks kind of awesome
SCH-I500 - DJ05/SuperClean .9/Nemesis OTB 1200lv/Voodoo5/Darkstar
I'd like to try it out.. this would work well if it was smooth and from the preview video I saw on engadget.. not so smooth at all..

Well I signed up for the beta. We will see what happens
SCH-I500 - DJ05/SuperClean .9/Nemesis OTB 1200lv/Voodoo5/Darkstar
I signed up as well, hopefully I will get a chance, looked pretty good.
Looks good, but it also looks heavy on system resources.

It very well could be but there's only one way to tell....Hopefully someone will get brought into the beta. I haven't heard anything back from them yet. Anyone else have any luck?
Not as of yet

While the implementation looks cool, I think there's a reason why the "3D" concept never took off on the desktop, despite many tries - it's just not a useful or efficient analogy for interacting with a computer.
Does it really provide any meaningfully enhanced or fundamentally better/easier/faster interaction to see screens spin around on a 3D drum than simply sliding linearly from side to side? Not really. Cool, sure, but that's about it.
But I tend to be a minimalist with it comes to a lot of things - just because you can, doesn't necessarily mean you should.
I think I'd rather have the phone (HTC Thunderbolt) than the UI App... lol Looks pretty slick

Aside from being LTE it doesn't appear that there is anything new or special about the thunderbolt. Its just a 4g EVO or Desire HD.

For me its not so much the 3d aspect of it as it is the tools for managing Widgets, editing folders and apps and what might be done with it once it is released. It also looks incredibly smooth(better than mine now) as it renders at 60 fps.

haha! I used SPB to make my WM phone interface more like Android. Never thought there would be an SPB FOR Android.
Still haven't received anything yet, hoping if someone does, they would post the apk.
Heck I would just like to hear if someone actually got invited.
i havent heard back please someone post this apk....i agree maybe we souldnt use it just cuz we can but it looks so dang cool. as a geek u need to play with it
i also wanted to add that i used to love this on wondows mobile. i have to running on the touch pro with less then 512...it was a very slow phone compared to times now and spb did justice with making everything not laggy. sure it ripped thru my batt but thats why i have extras layiong around with a full charge on them i really think this would be amazing on a device with 1ghz and the android os. i had more problems with touchflo 3d then i did on spb ms3. for those who think it will bog down the phone, well i cant say for sure but i dont think ull notice a difference except batt life
hey anyone get this apk yet? idk why but i wanna try it really bad
It's been a while since I've heard anything on this. Anybody have any news to share or new info?
Hello everyone,
I flashed over to update-cm-7.0.0-RC1-glacier-signed and love it. However, there is no camcorder/video recorder. I tried searching the market but really could not find anything.
Can someone please help me on this problem. Thanks so much

Video recorder is with the camera. Open the camera app and yheres a switch to change it to video recording. There is no separate icon for it.
Duh...I knew that. I was just testing the techs here, Lol.
All kidding aside...thanks for the tip. Now that I know how to use the camcorder, let me ask this. Do they make a better app for recorder video?
Example...They make better apps for just taking snap shots...so thought maybe they make a better app just for video.
Before someone says..."why dont you just search the market"...I did that, and could not really find anything.
Thanks again for the help,
BK
BUMP....Please help guys, thanks

And what exactly is the same problem? Going back to stock won't make a magical camcorder app appear in the market...
what kernels are you guys using.. ?

+1. I would like to know this too. I've searched high and low but just can't seem to find anything and I would like to blame it on my lack of searching ability rather than face the harsh reality that no one has made a better camcorder app than stock.

may not make a better app appear in the market, but you can use the better Sense Camcorder app
