Battery Icon? - XPERIA X1 General

I see there is no battery icon at the top, however when I turned my phone on and all the options were default I had a small battery indicator at the top which has now gone
Anyone know how to get it back?

Disable the clock at the top.

How to disable the clock on the top ?
I need a battery status icon!!

Start -> Settings -> Clock and Alarm -> More tab

does it only apply on some panel / desktop?
I'm using SPP mobile Panel. Even if I disable the clock, the clock still shows.

Change the panels once... I did and then it changed!

Or if you'd like you can have both the battery icon as well as the clock showing up all the time on all windows. I tweaked those settings using the advanced configuration tool.

After I use the advanced configuration tool and the XperiaTweak2, would it be ok if I uninstall it? Would my settings remain or do I have to keep those softwares to keep the settings as well?

How did you manage to show BOTH battery and time icons? I have advanced config tool, and battery icon is enabled on both title and tray bar, but still only time is showing.. I have soft reset it many times as well.. For now I've been using the VistaHide Battery Gauge http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-download-vistahide-battery-gauge-v1-1-1.html.. Works great, but enoying that you have to run it/activate/install it every time you soft reset..

If you want the default battery icon, you can get it with SPB PocketPlus. But I'm not sure if it IS the Windows-Icon or just an imitation. I believe the latter - but it looks exactly the same.

But is it possible to show both time and battery with the original panels? Thnx for the tip, btw.

Yes with SPB PocketPlus this is definitely possible. The battery icon will appear left of your connectivity icons, the clock will stay where it is. I don't think you can have both icons just with Windows, at leats there is definitely NO way to do it with the settings accessible to the normal user - if it's possible, then through a registry hack.

Its an imitation i think, i installed another battery skin but SPB PP still shows the old one.

Battery Status Bar.....gone?

Another question...
I did a hard reset Fri to clean up the device and just install the stuff that I was happy with. But now I'm missing the battery status bar that runs along the very top of the screen...
Was it a built-in, out of the box function or is it native to a 3rd party launcher app? I *did* have WisBar installed for a quick minute, but I uninstalled it and still had the statusbar...
Using the same themes I was using before...can't find any options that I havent checked. It's not VITAL, but it was a nice touch and I miss it.
It was probably a reminant of wisbar. I have wisbar lite and it has the battery status "line" at the top.
http://www.lakeridgesoftware.com/products.php?prod=WisBar+Lite
Wisbar lite has an inbuilt thin line battery meter. But batti which is free does the same job - see here http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=48007&sid=3de75058a939a46fcd5ab8720882a2f6
THANK YOU!!!
it was driving me nuts not knowing why it disappeared...lol.
I do like it...It should be part of the orignal set up...the battery icon at teh bottom is too small...
Thanks again!
Whoohoo! Just installed it - very nice! (I'm a bit more excited about this than I should be..lol)
Battery Meter Indicator Line...
Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't there a battery meter indicator line at the very top of every application? I see it on my C8125. It goes across the very top from left to right. It also pulses from current power to max when the phone is charging.
I could be wrong that this is WM5 native and not one of my programs: SPB Weather, Diary....
Thx for the info anyway!

It's not native to WM5. ou probably also have SPB Pocket Plus? That comes with a battery indicator also.

Actually just checked and I only have SPB Weather installed. That's probably the culprit though. Definitely better than an extra icon on the menu bar.

Shortcut to settings

Is there any way to put shortcut to Settings-System-Power to your program page? I keep changing backlight, and every time I have to go through a bunch of clicks.
Thanks
if you tap on the top status bar then click on the battery icon.. it will take you to the battery status and the next tab there is the backlight one... close enough for you?

The problem is that some applications (like IGO) remove that top status bar. Also, it is not available while charging (like in a car cradle).

Cursed battery icon

Hello *@*,
I think the battery icon in the taskbar of my Touch HD is possessed by a demon or something. :-|
It is spontaneously disappearing every now and then - pressing the home button always brings it back at once, though. Also doing anything else that updates the taskbar brings it back to life. The disappearance seems completely random.
I can even switch off the battery icon completely with Schaps Advanced Config and display the clock instead. Which is disappearing just the same way. All other icons are behaving normally.
And before anyone suggests a hard reset - guess what happend right after the hard reset I did today, when the HTC booted up for the first time and before I did anything a all?
Right.
Any ideas?

Hmm, can you take your phone to a church and see if it acts up there?
J/K, well my battery icon only shows in the home screen. In other screens, it is replaced with by the little clock. I think that is normal. But it sounds like your battery icon disappears even in the home screen?
Do you (or did you) have anything installed that changes the icons? If you installed the green battery icon cab, did you install the certificate included in that zip file before installing the battery icon cab?
It's weird, that even after a hard reset it would still do it.

At this point, I am considering a bath in holy water.
The vanishing takes part on the homescreen, or rather all the touchflow screens. Installing different battery icons does not help. ArielBattery works, though. It seems to me as if the process responsible for drawing the taskbar icons is "forgetting" to update just the battery icon sometimes. I am quite sure this didn't happen when the phone was new - but a hard reset didn't help.
I had the same problem (I have color top bar icons and green battery icon), but a soft reset fixed it.
You can try uninstalling anything related to that.
Then Soft-reset.
After that, try installing the cabs I installed.
Soft-reset again and see if that works.
Note: Before installing the battery icon tab, make sure you install the sdkcertificate cab included or else you'll have problems with it.
I found all these cabs here in the forum, but I'll post them here for you in case you want to try. You can try just the battery cab (but first sdkcert cab) or also that try the color top bar cab to change the other icons as well.
use magicbutton, its freeware - its a great task switcher and has an optional great power indicator, which is a simple 1 pixel line across the top of the screen... so when its fully charged, you see a white line across the whole screen at the top. If its running low, its not as long and shrinks towards the left hand edge by the start menu.
Much easier to see at a glance than the power icon which appears and reappears at will sometimes!
mine does this i tihnk it is normal but i dont get a little clock it just disappears and nothing replaces it?
pls !! the warrantty will not cover any kind of water contact.. even holy !

2 battery icons in title bar?

Hi
I just switched on my phone. All of a sudden I have 2 battery icons in the title bar. One is the regular horizontal and the other is vertical.
I am currently in a business trip so I am roaming. I also have 2 roaming triangles. The extra one is smaller than the regular.
This may be a stupid question, but how do I remove these extra icons? Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
FIXED. Nevermind.
Same here.
Two battery icons (both horizontal) which, when the phone is connected to the PC, turn themselves into two power plug icons.
Any idea ?

For your case, it is due to your SPB Phone Plus software that gives you that extra battery icon, you can disable it under the SPB Phone Plus Option menu.

How did you remove?
If you have SPB PocketPlus installed, go to Options and remove the tick from "Taskbar Battery Indicator".
Or you can have both a battery icon and a clock in the taskbar by telling windows (under clock and alarm) to show a clock instead of battery status.

What is the best battery meter?

I google this inquiry and I was suggested the program called Power Manager. However, I also heard that it would not work with Froyo.
Are there any other program for a battery meter. The default battery icon on the top right of the screen does not give me the percentage of how much is left.
Power Manager works fine with Froyo 2.2...I am using it without issues on Froyostone v1
For a more detailed look at your battery percentage and usage, I use "Battery Snap" from the market (its free) and from what I read...it uses the least amount of system resource and gives you a ton of stats and graphs about your battery history/usage.
Thanks.
Are there any that put a battery icon (perhaps a widget) in the home page that tells you how much battery you have left in terms of percentage?
yeah...batterysnap has a customizable widget that displays the percentage/time remaining/voltage/temp.
What rom are you running? Any rom that's. Cm6 you can show percentage.
Go to settings the to cyanogen mod settings then status bar. Then show percent

How do I do that?
I have it installed and when I run it I get the following options:
Dynamic graphic
Current data
Historical data
Graphics
Dismiss Become Xtra!
I don't see any option to do a customizable widget.

It works.
I am still learning how to use Android.
You taught me something today.
battstat is the best for me
I use "Battery Percentage Widget". Just puts a simple "96%" type text anywhere on the screen.
