Please tutorial to me , how can I Sync my device ( HTC shift ) to system,
i run this file in vista include shift ROMUpdateUtility.exe for Upgrade my Device
But i get this error --> Connection Error
Please Help Me -> How can I sync My device Or How Can I install
-> Install the EnableRapi.cab file from the zip on Snapvue side. (of course do unzip in Vista first.) How Can I Install This File in Vista

After update to Ultimate or Enterprise version the touch screen does not work within Vista. Works without problem on the snapvue side.
Native HTC Pen Driver missing / not installed.
Have you checked windows update? It offered me an updated HID input touch screen driver a few days ago.
Yes if checked windows update, all update are installed.

Dear Customer,
We can not send the drivers yet because only the developers team in Taiwan has got them and they are not redistributing them at the moment. However, you should be able to go back to Vista Business if you perform a "hard reset". When you switch on the shift, if you press and hold FN key and then the number 3, it will show up a recovery utility which should take your device back to factory default settings.
I am wondering if reseting the device is there only solution ?

I did it succesfully except WiFi driver.
It was a hard work !
-First time I installed original Vista bussines from hidden partition.
-I extracted ALL original drivers from installed system by All DRIVERMAX and DriverGenius App. (here are PEN drivers !!!)
-I copied them to Backup directory with
full Program Files directory
WINDOWS\WINDOWSMOBILE directory
WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS
WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERSTORE
WINDOWS \SYSTEM32\1.REG
BT.REG
ENABLEUAC.REG
D.REG
DE.REG
DS.REG
-------------------------------------------------------------
-Install new localized VISTA. (do not erase or format old VISTA! - it stay in WINDOWS.OLD directory.)
-DO first boot, but do not start VISTA system !
-Boot from BartPE disk and
-copy from backed Program Files directory
to same newVISTA ProgramFiles these dirs:
HTC
FingerPrintSensor
TrendMicro
VitaKey
-copy backed WINDOWS\WINDOWSMOBILE to same newVISTA directory (do not replace the same names, copy only missing files)
-copy backed SYSTEM32\DRIVERS to same newVISTA directory (do not replace the same names, copy only missing files)
-copy backed SYSTEM32\DRIVERSTORE to same newVISTA directory
(do not replace the same names, copy only missing files)
-copy backed SYSTEM32\REGs to same newVISTA directory
-Do boot to newVista.
-Install DriverMax and DriverGenius and import by them all backed drivers.

-Install drivers from web: INTEL, VGA,SYNAPTICS,SOUND...

-Run 1.reg (it will install all other REGs)

-Automatic install will start - Origami, ControlCenters....

Doesn't worked for me.
Touchscreen still not working under Vista Ultimate.
I've tried with full version, with Anytime with new HD... (about 5 times)

you need 2 partitions C and D 。AcronisDiskDirector10 can runs in Vista
And Vista DVD .iso ，Virtual CD-Rom（Magicdisc is good for installation)，Easy BCD。
1. Use AcronisDiskDirector10 diveds the HDD to 2 partitions.“C:\“ and “D:\“
2.Install Virtual CD-Rom，Magicdisc doesn't need reboot unlike the Daemon tools。
3.Insert Vista ISO,Find "Sources\boot.wim " ,copy it to D:\
And copy all ISO in the “D:\vista“
4.Install EasyBCD.
In "Add/Remove Entries" ,Select "WinPE".
"Type" select "wim", "Name" you decide, select "ems enable"
"path" , find the "boot.wim" where you copied it.
5. click "Add Entry" ,then "Save",Sometimes ,you need do it again,untill you see the new titles.
6.reboot,you will see Ramdisc(EMS),Select it.
7."repair computer" >"cmd"
8.type "D:\Vista\Sources\setup.exe" . The Vista installation will be run.
9.In the Installation ,Delete the "C:“，and install the new vista in the C:\。

If you install Vista Ultmate ,When finish the installation,you can install the Japanese MUI on Windows Update.You will have English and Japnaese Vista。

New member here. First timer to WM phones. Bought the Hermes 2 months back, which came upgraded with WM6., but since then unable to connect to PC. Device not detected via ActivSync 4.5. Also downloaded some software from http://www.htcfreeware.com/ , but , some ( Like Skype ) dont install , message " This is not a PPC software " , any tips ?
pretty much all exe you download for ppc are exe files for the pc not the ppc
when you get installl programs for ppc they are called cab
the exe files are pc programs which using activesync install the cab on the ppc
if you try to run a pc progra on a ppc you get the error msg
" This is not a PPC software "
sometimes one can on the pc rename the exe to zip as many are just selfextracting zip files
and then manualy copy out the cab file
I just installed an update from the HTC site, so I thought I'd post it here. It is just a hotfix to enhance security when doing BT FTP transfers. The attached file is a zip file, just unzip the exe and copy to your P3470.
The site had two notes:
"1. This hotfix can only be applied on Touch Diamond/ Diamond (P3702)/ Touch Pro/ Touch HD/ Touch 3G/ Touch Cruise/ Touch Viva/ Touch Dual/ Touch Cruise (09)/ Touch/ TyTN II/ Advantage X7501/Advantage X7510/ P6500/ P3300/ P3400/ P4000/ P4350/ P3470/ P6300/ S620/ S630/ S640/ S710/ S730/ S740 which has the FTP service preinstalled. Before installing, please first check to see if the FTP service is on your phone by tapping Settings > Communications > Settings > Bluetooth and verifying there is tab named FTP.
2. If there is a pop-up message saying “This hotfix is not compatible with your device,” it means the device has applied the fix already or device doesn’t have the BT FTP service and the phone does not need to install it.

5. you Have this folder With two Files CustomRUU.exe And a File With NBH suffix , IF this Folder Dosn't have CustomRUU.exe Download it from Here And Put it to this Folder
5. Run CustomRUU.exe -> Keep Clicking Check Box Button and Next Button until Appearing That Message Again : "verify the information on your PDAphone...Please wait"
6. Clicking Update Button And Next Button After That
7. you can see again Two Process Bars are Processing at the Same Time On your PC and PPC
8. After Finishing ->your PPC Restarts Automatically Again And you Have WM6.5+HTC SENSE 2.5 ON YOUR TOUCH DIAMOND

I have heard it said some of the ROM updates cause some technical failure...like GPS failure or G-sensor....
