[Request] contact picture for "private" or "unknown caller" ? - Touch Diamond, MDA Compact IV Themes and Apps

Dear all,
I'm looking for a feature/tweak, that shows a special picture if a caller with unkonwn phone number is ringing instead of showing "private"-text only on the display.
And I want to define this picture by myself.
I do not want to install tools like S2U2, even it woud be possible to adjust this due this tool.
I do not want to restrict unknown callers, but only to make it more friendly or with better visibility.
Has anyone of you an idea how to go on?
A single reg entry or description in which manila which settings have to made would be great!
Thanks in advance!

Really no-one? (If a friendly push is not allowed, please delete the whole post, I will notice, thx.)

Caller picture from S2U without S2U ?

Hello,
I've tried the search function, but either I do not see it or there is nothing.
I installed the S2U software and I really like it, but I don't really need it. The only thing I really want to keep is the big caller picture from S2U.
Because I have a lot of other SW installed on my Wizard I would like to remove all unused programs from memory, which means also S2U.
Is there a way to keep the really nice caller picture or is there any other SW out there (Freeware?) which can do the same withour the "big" memory footprint of S2U?
Thanks for your help

Nope....
the callerid portion is intergrated into s2u2.
And honestly, the memory footprint is not that big for what it does. If you use a large animated .gif for your background, the footprint will get bigger, but a small .jpg is nothing in terms of footprint size.
How can you not want to lock your phone from those unwanted accidental calls!?
@lawmangrant:
Thanks for your answer. I was just trying to delete whatever application I do not really need.

It's easy: I switch off my phone (only with the short press of the Power-button) and the only button to wake my phone is the Power-button. I never had any troubles with unwanted calls or something like this. And S2U is at the moment just another (additional) step to get to my today-Screen. That's why I disabled it.

read the instructions that comes with S2U - there is a way to disable the lock function and only use the callerID.

I have read the instructions and disabled the lock-function (see my reply above). My idea was to delete the unwanted part of the SW to have more memory available.
But thanks anyhow

Hello HuiBuh,
I know exactly what you means.
Me too, I want to change the originale caller ID WM6.... Look here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=367750
The goal is : To change WM within it's proper programs!!!
I changed the look of my SMS's in the file read_style.css for example, so there must be a way to change the size of the photo in the original caller ID.

You need a background picture that you like.
With a text editor you can change place, hight, etc in the .css file
look here for my work (with the help of lesscro for the graphics)

Incoming calls notification

Hi folks,
is there any way of changing the incoming calls notification from this small bubble, where you need a lens to reed it, to full screen or at least half-screen?
Thanks for any hint
Have a look at S2U2 (slide 2 Unlock 2) It has full screen caller ID options.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=353008
thanks,
so I understood, there is no option in WM6 to change that? Only by a seperate program?
No nothing built into the OS. There are other 3rd party contact applications which also do full screen caller ID, but I can't remember which and they are all pay-for stuff anyway. S2U2 is a nice app if it fits round your use of your device.
Thanks, I'll try that. Are there any known issues? I think, I have somewhere read, that there are some problems with the cube?

SMS Display Characteristics !!

Hi All
I have seen that most of the PDAs in the Market doesnt show the SMS as its displayed on Nokia...
What i meant is any sms which has line my line message, is shown continuously in a single line on Magician....
Do any one have a fix for it...
Thanks in advance
Manmohan
You will have to either use a 3rd party SMS application, or do a registry edit to achieve this effect.
Can u pls let me know the registry key to be edited to achieve this effect....
I don't know how to do it myself, but I'm experimenting with my registry entries, trying to find anything that works. I'm sure that it can be done easily though.

New X1 owner..pls help

Just purchased a X1 yesterday. The 1st impression about the phone is speechless. But i have one simple question- When a call comes then there are two options for selecting,1-Silence,2-Reject with sms. But i can silent the phone by pressing the volume keys,so i don't need the "silence" feature. It would be very good if its an Answer feature on the screen,so i don't have to press the answer key. So please tell me how to disable the silence and enable the answer on the screen.
Please guys rep asap.
You can try the blackstone dialer. It gives u a slider to answer or reject and an option to send a text
If you go to Settings->Phone and select the Advanced Tab you have an option "Reject calls with text message" or something similar (I don't have the english UI).
If you deselect this you get Answer on the left soft button and Reject on the right. It won't give you any fancy phone button, but at least it's on the screen. And the reject button gives a busy tone to the caller.
Thanks guys for the feedback. I've another query. Thats about disabling the threaded sms in x1. I have two or three cab files in my pc,which worked pretty fine on my Htc Kaiser, but those files are not opening as a cab file. I have a cab file called sms mode v31,now when i double clicked it's showing a lot of files like-001,002...016 etc.,which can't be installed in the x1. So how can i get that cab back? I know it's the problem of my pc,still asked.
you can use advanced config to change the sms threading settings as well as a bunch of other things too.
yup i know but my pc can't detect cab files. when i am extracting by winrar it's showing a lot of files. please please tell me how to fix this, this is abt my pc. i am attaching a gif image of my problem, please see that. this is happened when i tried to extract a cab file named SMS Mode v31,which i found from this site.
Don't extract CAB files, copy to a directory on you phone and run it!!!
yes. didn't extract,working gr8. thanks a lot.
Hey guys found another problem. Now its with the font. How can modify the fonts? The default level is so small that it puts pressure on my eyes to read a message and +1 from default level is kinda big that the number and the body of a message are all messed up.
Thanks in advance

fullscreen photo of the caller; how to?

Hi all
please forgive the noobyness, I'm a fresh owner of an HTC Touch 3G 'jade'. I wonder if there's a way to show in fullscreen a photo of the caller in incoming calls... I did as follow: I added a shortcut in the TouchFlo menù "People", and associated then a photo to that contact. When I receive a call from that contact, however, the photo is shown "minimized", not in full screen. Is it necessary a 3rd party program in order to have this?
Thanks in advance
Nvmind, gotcha. Simply S2U2 does the trick (quite tricky anyway, I'd prefer a single program to accomplish this simple task ).
