Hy,
someone know how show bluetooth icon on title bar?
I suppose there is a register key but I don't know which.
many thanks
i think there is program for this,
in udk r4 it's built in.
Even if the lamp is blinking blue, it would be nice to have the symbol as well.
Anybody that nows?
I also like to have the icon bluetooth. It's very nice.
I second this. I'd like to have it too.
nobody have a solution?

There is a Mortscript solution to this, sorry I don't have the link anymore.
It worked OK, so that when I connected to my hands-free speaker, the BT icon showed in the Title Bar
BUT ... the script constantly polled for BT, even when it wasn't running, so the device could not "sleep" - this flattened the battery real quick.

Must be ROM specific. I have this ROM and it has the symbol: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=452662
This is linked with the App_Service/HTCApplication OEM PACKAGES. Some roms COKED ONES not come with this packages ( not needed at all).
look at your rom, if have this packages well integrated.

Hi,
here's a modified Bluetooth headset profile today plugin which is not hiding itself from today screen at will... )
It is for wm2003SE MS BT stack - it will probably not work with Widcomm stack, however...
Please give me some feedback.
THANX
buzz
cheers Buzz
I've installed it and seems to be working...It changed the order of my plugins when it installed so had to re-arrange them, then i get a nice blue and white icon on my green grass (bliss) background
I'll let you know if it stays on, could we maybe change the icon to look like the original ?
BTW How are you getting on porting the coloured keyboard skin to 2.06
oh $h1t, steve, i forgot the keyboard... (
will take a look at it, for sure, within next days...
Which ROM do you use?
will see, maybe the icon will be changed, once I'll get some better idea, how it should look like... )))
THANX
buzz
Hi Buzz again !
I'm running 2.06 with Orange ext rom. I've got a M1000 which is just the same as a XDAII
PLugin seems to be fine so far..... the icon is fine as it is, it's just the background could do with being transparent, the icon itself should be black instead of white and when not in use, should have a red line running from top right to bottom left (crossed out effect)
Apart from that, seems to work fine.
If i turn BT off, the icon goes to disabled mode, if BT is turned back on, you enable to icon by simply tapping it..... PERFECT !
I think the text should read slightly differnent as well, Should read "Bluetooth Headset is enabled / Disabled"
Once u get the icon sorted, this can go in the all time greatest SE fixes list !
Keep up the good work, get the keyboard sorted as well, BTW, with the keyboard, once it is installed, can we use different skins available here :-
http://www.lakeridgesoftware.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1293
Should read "Bluetooth Headset is enabled / Disabled"

sure can do, but i thought it means that the headset itself is on... Therefor it says BT profile is enabled...
...the icon... well that bloody today app is somehow showing 256 colors only. That's why that icon looks so ugly, but maybe I can convert it to 256 colors. That should help.

re-install the original mode
Oops, I've installed the plugin onmy XDAII (imate), which does not have the SE, but rather the origina WM2003. I've removed the plugin, but could not locate the original "heasdet mode", not on the "TODAY" screen and not on the "Setting- Today-Items".
Any one has an idea how to restore the original "headset mode"?
Thanks.

Hey
Checked out the post and it will certainly be perfect if you can port all those skins to your already great work.
Yeah I especially liked your BT icon. Some of my colleagues noticed and switched to it too.
...long time lurker; first time poster...
did a search on this once and if it's here, sorry i missed it:
what is the reg-locale for ensuring the Bluetooth System-Tray Icon is enabled to launch when bt is active. since performing the following reg-edits, it no longer appears.
Increasing font cache and screen performance:
"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\GDI\GLYPHCACHE"
Change "limit" from "8192" (default) to "16384"
Increase general performance:
"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\StorageManager\FATFS\"
Change "CacheSize" value from "0" to "4096".
"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\StorageManager\FATFS\CacheSize=0x1000(4096)"
Change "EnableCache" value to "1"
"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\StorageManager\Filters\fsreplxfilt\"
Change "ReplStoreCacheSize" value to "4096"
Enable Cleartype in landscape mode:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\GDI\ClearTypeSettings]
Change "OffOnRotation" to “0”
also... i did this one and then reversed it since i learned (after the fact) that cingular 8125 is already b/g:
Enable 802.11g:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\COMM\TNETWLN1\PARMS
Assign a value of 1 to dot11SupportedRateMask
Assign a value of 8 to dot11SupportedRateMaskG
thanks to anyone making time to reply!
can someone confirm that their actually is a bt icon that resides in the system tray (top bar) when bt is enabled???
maybe it was a fluke that i actually saw it there for a brief period today?
maybe i'm seeing things?
I have not seen that icon in WM5. But I would like to have it there.
Oh its there alright. In fact, in the online help somewhere on my 8125 it actually lists the icons and their descriptions. One of them is the BT icon.
Its beyond my why there isn't an application that can indicate with a headset icon to notify you if your phone is paired to a BT earpiece. Someone had posted once PhoneAlarm did it, but alas. It does no such thing.
If anyone else knows of a program that will tell you if you're currently connected to a BT device, please speak now!
Ok, found out where the icon is listed. Go to the main WM5 online help on the device and go to Personalizing your device>Over of the Today screen>What do these status icons indicate?
Towards the bottom you'll see the icon... IT EXISTS IT EXISTS!... sigh
it does because today... it appeared for a moment. it played peek-a-boo while device was bugging-out. glad to know i wasn't seeing things. i wonder if having the clock reside in the sys-tray has anything to do with it???
i have found this application http://www.pocketpcfreewares.com/en/index.php?soft=1319 to at least show when the BT is on. It also tries to connect to a headset when there is an incoming/outgoing call. Not having a headset myself, I have not been able to test this function, but bt does turn on on a ring and turn off when I end the call.
i got this cab from somewhere here in the forum which shows the bt icon on the system tray, to allow you switch on/off bluetooth, i beleive it was designed for the universal but it works fine with my kjam (wizard).

Thanks! This .cab works great.
Now I only need the same type of icon for wifi. Anyone got such .cab file???
Works Great on KJAM JASJAR and EVEN A T O M !
Thanks.
I tried it on my k-jam but unfortunatelly... nada
I downloaded the cab file to my pc through the link, then copied the file to my devise and run the installation therein...
Am i missing something?
Weird
I installed this, and nothing happened, so I deleted the program, using "remove program" from Settings/System, and it started working. Go figure.
yeah,it works good on MDA Vario(czech TMO firmware)
pls have u got same cab for wi-fi ?

I use the small icon for the connection settings to check if BT or WiFi is ON in my EXEC. I was just wondering, what you use that icon for since you were all looking for a BT Icon?

The icon allows you to avoid a few screen taps to change the bluetooth setting. Plus it's a visual indicator of the bluetooth status, without relying on a flashing light... Hope that helps!

As many have said. You will also need to soft reset to see it. It will also show (besides avoiding taps) whether you are connected or not (another icon next to it will show a live link. Extermely useful. I have a bluetooth car kit and sometimes will not connect and no way for me knowing without tapping few times. This will show me a live connection has been established.
Cheers
I would like to know please if it is possible to change the Tray shortcuts like Removing the battery icon or modiying it . I know that Tray launcher can add application to tray but it cannot remove the default ones . If someone would guide me on HOW to do it i'll be thankful
Tray icons reg settings.
"dword:00000000" - disable, "dword:00000001" - enable
Power icon
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Services\Power]
"ShowIcon"=dword:00000000
Rotation icon
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\GDI\Rotation]
"EnableTray"=dword:00000000
And wireless icon
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Services\WirelessMgr]
"Keep"=dword:00000000

Dang, it's busted for me.
I get a DirectoryNotFoundException when I launch it and I can't seem to find the reason for it.
Worked nicely for me, thanks!
It also works nicely for me. However, I am looking for a way to disable the System Tray and so far, nothing. Have tried most of the reg hacks mentioned here and run into a brick wall as my Dell Axim x51v doesn´t have those reg entries (?!?!?!)
All I want to do is remove the WiFi & BT icons so that the system tray will close. Any ideas folks?
That is because your device uses different drivers for it. However it should not be too hard to find the correct registry entries for your device. Try playing with entries in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Services\ dir.
Thanks Wexx. Even with the extended ROM visible I only get as far as "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Services\" before I lose my way. What really *isses me off is that I HAD managed it a while back but cant for the life of me remember how!!!!
Anyway, thanks!

This tool is working perfect on my Blue Angel "XDA2s" WM6 Helmi.
What error do you get?
Is it possible to make a small tool that shows a small indication at the taskbar if the Bluetooth is on or of?
I use the windows dialler pad because the ring delay is lower than the HTC dialler.
But than you will have no Bluetooth indication.
It would perfect if the indication is very small. I don’t need a icon because this will waste the small place of the task bar.
Just a blue dot like the white dot that appears when Gsen is active.
Have a nice day
Thomas
Sorry for my English. I tried my best
I'm very much in favour of it. Have the same problem!
Me too please.... I have requested this before, but no luck yet.... I now use a programme called "bluepower" which turns on the bluetooth whenever my diamond is being charged. So when I am in my car and my phone is in the cradle, I know bluetooth is on. I don't need an indicator in the taskbar as I KNOW it is active. Therefore I can stick to the windows dialer for the same reasons as you.
I found this after a very quick google. Tested and working fine on my Diamond.
http://www.careace.net/2009/04/17/bluetooth-icon-patch-for-samsung-windows-mobile-ppcs/
I've also added the information to my WM dialer skin thread. )
Juhu, it`s works!!!
