Touch HD Clock - How to change? - Touch HD General

I want to change the awful looking clock on the HD home screen.
I have tried using Grumps Manila Customizer - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=437420
This is not compatible with the HD as the screen is screwed.
Until this app is made compatible, or another one comes along
How do I change the Clock appearence manually?
I see plenty of Clocks are available in the Diamond Apps section, do these need to be re-sized in some way for the bigger HD screen?

i installed some from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=420887&highlight=bdiaClock.cab and no problems with the dimensions. In fact they looked better for me as I think the default clock is way too big.

Hi, nice work, but maybe you should indicates it's a trial, and indicates the original link : http://www.rivia.net/Gentimer_PPC.aspx
But your theme is great for diamond
Thx For Share. But I Found Out There Are Few Problems.
1. Cannot Adjust The Time.
2. Cannot Set The Main Clock To Different Time Zone.
3. Startup Page Cannot Be Set To The One That I Want From Setting.

I think It's system Time... so just change it in Programs->System Clock
That would be nice
Maybe it because of the Trial version?
What is the limitations of the Trial ... anyone?
Hi, AVLev
Could you make a VGA version? Because if you want said this is Diamond Style, I think VGA support is a must
mmm
fab!!.. works fab on my Touch ( UK orange rom ) thanks !!
This is trial, but never expire . (Of couse you can pay and register it)
You connot change time, because I rename standard clock.exe to system_clock.exe and rename gentimer.exe to clock.exe. It is nessery for run gentimer from main page. Please run Programs->System Clock to adjust time.
is it possible to use this without a clock installed on the home page?
(i have applied NisseDILLIGAF's Noclock cab as i hate the manilla clock)
thanks
I really like your HTC look alike Phone-skin and HTC Calculator, but I am sorry that I must admit that I am not so happy about this one...
It is just too fancy... I would love to see just a HTC look alike skin for the current alarm page...Basically with the same options and same software behind it...
This is more a replacement alarm/clock application then a HTC skin for a default WM6.1 application, and it does not really give me the HTC feel.. Sorry.

Hi AVLev,
Thanks for this. Looks great!
Any chance you can update it with the latest version of Gentimer (v2.13). The latest version is much faster to load and navigate.
Thanks and keep up the good work.

Themes for the HD??

I am wondering if if there are some themes out there for the HD (some which take advantage of the increased resloution and bigger display).
Hope to see some in the near future
Ps: does anyone know a nice tool to create new themes for the HD?
I tried out the diamond theme, working, but not fullscreen
Anyone created one which works perfektly on the HD?
Just a Start...... Nice & simple....
More to come when I have some more time.....
Crystal Clock.....
HTC 3D Icons
Nisse's "diff" background on all tab's for HD
.
WOW! Simple and looks GREAT! Nice work!
Could you post the files needed here with a little howto? Would appreciate it a lot!
Hope didnt ask to much cos its my first WM device.
Thanks in advance!
Ascenca
Complete themes need to be adjusted for the wvga... as for that theme, nice background! can you post it? Is the program you use to have backgrounds in all screens the same as the one for the diamond?
Any news about new themes?
Can anyone explain to my how tofind/install these things:
Crystal Clock.....
HTC 3D Icons
Nisse's "diff" background on all tab's for HD
Thanks in advance!

i wont try to advise you on the HD for icons and the background changer but I can tell you that if you go to the diamond forums you can find tons of custom clocks. Most are just .manilla files so all you have to do is install total comander and copy/past them into the /windows folder and restart TF3D
I've gone and installed the Black Diamond theme and now I'm stuck with something only using 70% of the screen.
Are there any theme files yet using the whole HD screen?

Hi Ascenca, if you are still looking for the Crystal Clock, here is what I used.
I found it somewhere in XDA and it works great on the HD.
PS: I use the standard ROM.

[Q/REQ] Moving Backgrounds

Would it be possible to get a moving background on a HTC Diamond or Touch Pro in TouchFlo3D in all tabs? Like the new Bell Ui interface.

HTC Home Plug for Touch Pro 2(WVGA)

I have searched all over but haven't been able to find if the regular HTC Home today plugin has been ported to WVGA screen resolution yet for the Touch Pro 2. If anyone has any information or a cab file that would be greatly appreciated. I like to use this in conjunction with Ultimate Launcher. Will Ultimate Launcher work with WVGA screen resolutions? Any information on this would be great as well.
Thanks in advance!
I'm using UltimateLaunch. It works fine. You just need to adjust the numbers for the increased resolution. The transitions from tab to tab aren't too smooth, but if you play around with the Animation Duration and Acceleration you should find something you like. Forget the Cube though. I've tried everything and can't get it to look good while turning. You can also turn off the animation altogther be setting it to None.
There are a number of VGA versions of the Home Plugin Floating around. I haven't tried any but they should work fine with WQVGA. Try here.

Thank you popdog54. That is interesting information about the ultimate launch program. I really prefer it in combination with the the HTC Home plug versus the manilla 2d or 3d. I will have to play with it a bit and see how it goes. Thanks for the link on the HTC Home Plug. I was specifically looking for WQVGA/WVGA and didn't realize that VGA would work.

I tried the HTC Home when I first got the TP2, and it crashed.
Removing it was the solution - is this a QVGA specific adaption or just a slightly different version than I have which works on the TP2?
I just prefer Home/TodayAdgenda to TouchFlo!
Bump
Any updates to the HTC Home for WVGA? I still prefer it to touchflo.

I am using PJC HTC Home on my Touch Pro2...works great...even the weather plugin.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=406418
Forgot to mention that i use the great app, ultimate launcher as well.
I have used a VGA version on my 8525/Hermes, Fuze/Raphael and now Tilt2/Rhodium with no problems.. The cab is called HTCHOME2.CAB, you can find many links for it.
But if you have a custom wallpaper, then it will not display correctly in the background. I sized a picture of my kids at 480x800, and the section underneath the HTCHome is "stretched" to VGA resolution. Doesn't bother me as my phone is locked most of the time and the wallpaper shows correctly when locked.

Death To Flippy Clocks

I have a TP2, with Manila 2.1 and WM6.5. How do I get rid of the @#$%^&* flippy clock without installing Manila 2.5?

Thanks, but this doesn't seem to allow replacement of the flippy clock, it just makes it better behaved. Unless I'm reading the intro message wrong.
"Flick" up anywhere on your home screen and the clock will change to a smaller, non "@#$%^&* flippy" one. It isn't the best looking, but it might be what you are looking for.

Thanks, I know about that one. Ideally, I'd like to find something like the old HTC Home Customizer, which would offer a selection of clock fonts and styles.

Have you seen Cookie's Home Tab - you can choose an analogue clock or keep flip clock but disable the animation and/or have a smaller flip clock.

Did you not read his first post? He said he doesn't want to install Sense 2.5.
The steps previously posted work to stopping the flipping clock in 2.1, I tried it and no more flipping animation .

Which steps? Did you just stop the flipping, or actually change the style?
The link in post #3. Just install the cab and it stops the flipping (believe only in portrait but I really only press the home button when in portrait anyway) and it does not mess with your current clock style .

Looks like this tool doesn't really change the clocks, and a number of people who tried it had serious problems and couldn't uninstall it. I think I'll pass.
