Hello,
Is there a way (tweak) to wake up the device by itself when an external power source is attached to the device? This was standard in my old device but with the touch hd I have to wake up the device by pressing the power button.

i was thinking is there any other way to wake blackstone from sleep mode, without pressing the power button. MAYBE the vol button or the 4 buttons at the bottom. Repeated pressing of the power bottom may cause the power to be spoil one day
what about pulling out the stylus? many locking and rotating apps have this option
Pluging to power wake it up.
Accidentally dropped my nook color and now it's acting weird. When I'm using it the menu that appears on power button press appears and sometime the device will randomly shut off soon after. I think something with the power button broke when the device was dropped. Is there any way to map the power button to one of the volume bottoms and then turn off the original power button?
BTW I'm using cm7 with the latest nightly build.
Thanks
No, the button is hard wired and not changeable. You might find a way to change for shut down purposes, but not start up.
After pressing too much ?????
The power button, and all the physical buttons for that matter, should last you far longer than the device itself will be supported by Dell.
If you are worried about the life of the screen on/off button, just create a shortcut on the home screen to turn the screen off. That's what I did...you'll
only need the power button to power the screen on, not off, using 1/2 of the time.
I recently wasted completely my power on button (while changing the broken screen).
Fortunately, the phone wakes with Vol +/-.
I am wondering if there is any rom that still uses the vol+/- to wake the phone and it the ac adapter will power on a switched off phone.
Miui has a feature something like that. It can be wake with volume buttons.
And you can always use ADB for restart / reboot for recovery / reboot for bootloader.

Thank you for your answer but I was looking for a kernel that supports power on not just wake to unlock. Having a phone power off completely and when plugging it on AC to Power on.
I just got my new Droid Turbo 2 and the power button is not waking the device. It turns off the screen and if I double press it activates the camera, but not until I plug the phone in does it actually wake. Anyone else experience this?
