I need to know the exact version of TT6 which is working in Xperia. When i tilt the screen tomtom seems to work fine, but when i close the keyboard the SW hangs and give me an error report. Seems to be a resolution issue?
I have an english version of xperia with original rom
Tomtom 6 western europe (think it is 6.01 or something )
I've been searching trough numbers of forums

TomTom 6 and 7 work ok
I am using TomTom v6 with no problem at all. I simply took the SD card out of my Touch Pro, placed it in the X1 and it all worked as before.
TomTom 7 didn't work at first, saying it was not compatible with my device, I did however after a bit of googling, find an update of TT7 files that I replaced, and all works flawlessly.
Also worth mentioning, the GPS reception, start up time and accuracy are much improved over my previous HTC devices.

Sorry, I have a few days my xperia. Tried at many ways tt6 to install.
Even called the support from tt. xperia isn't supported.
On this forum I read that tt6 is working on xperia!
What do i wrong?
I haven't a htc, my earlier phone is a 990i so I can't take the same sd card.
990i has a memory stick pro duo, and xperia has a sd card.
Why does the build in gps doesn't work with tt6?
I believe tt is capable for xperia, while on youtube it is shown....

Just install wvga to vga and it will work
I have TOMTOM 7.450(9028) with europe maps and works great. no problems at all and works in full screen

tt7 here but i did get the no maps found at first
no problems when i put the maps folder directly on the root of the storage card

just put the whole map folder on the root of your storage card.
i am using tomtom7 v7.450.9028

No idea why they don't post them on their site themselves. These drivers work great! They are even newer than the ones at socketcom.com.
Unfortunatly, on my MDA compact, the Wi-fi speed still does not go above about 300kbps . If anyone knows a fix for that, I would be a happy man!

Thanks for the link. I extracted the files and I see two cabs for Win CE4.
SA_SD_CE4_3-1-4_86_EN.CAB
and
SA_SDC_CE4_3-1-4_86_EN.CAB
They are different sizes so I'm wondering which one to use, the SD or the SDC version.
I have the Sandisk 256 meg WiFi SD running on an imate Jam.

I used the SDC version. I have the same setup as you. I think the difference might be that the SD version is for the card without extra memory.

Thanks for your reply mate. I'll use that driver when I reinstall after doing the ROM upgrade.

I still have the problem i had before after detecting wifi device freezes..what should i do ..wait or reseting the deice..I've instaled the new driver..

Don't you have any problem with these drivers anymore...which rom do you use..Version?
Cause mine XDA mini v 1.12 needs reseting as before and freezing while any wifi signal found and the sandisk application always freezes ..any instruction?

I just bought a Trinity device couple weeks ago and after really looking throught these topics I yet didn't found a solution about my GPS.
My GPS is dead And I tried to do all what I found here and another internet forums but it doesn't work.
I checked my device and it already was in lastest HTC version, but for sure I update it again desesperately!
After testing it with some programs that work here ( Brazil! ): Destinator, Smart2go, Route66. It doesnt worked :/
So I thought... Maybe with WM6?
So I get this version: RUU_Trinity_DOPODASIA_WWE_3.00.707.18_6275_1.46.30.11_108_Ship
And after unlocking the CID and testing all the programs again... it YET didn't works!

I think this changes when you do the rom update. But post this info here could help you.

Hey guys I found a program called: GPS Gate 2.0
He states me that my GPS is alive on COM9!
I will try to found the reason why the GPS programs aren't working and let you know. Problably it is directing to the wrong port.
Just for info,
GPS Gate worked fine and now I have GPS fully functional.

Hi, I've read that if the radio version on the P3600 aka. Trinity ends on .11, the GPS is disabled. My radio version is 1.16.00.00. Is it useable ?
If yes, how do I use it ?
PS: Oh, and while I'm at it, how do I play flash content like videos on youtube, video google etc. ?

It's the other way around. If you radio version ends in .11, then GPS is enabled.
You radio 1.16.00.00 is too old and does not have GPS.
Update to a newer version, like 1.46.0.11 or 1.46.30.11 and your GPS will work.

I've tried all the radio ROMs there, it says the ROM is invalid when I try to update.
Oh, nevermind that, I found a guide to fix that problem. But how to I play flash content ? I have flash player 7 installed. And can you recommend any GPS software ?

You have to install a "Hard SPL" before you can install something else as written here . I suggest you Olipro 1.20 (1.30 have some problems with eventual downgrade).
Follow this instructions before installing a new radio...
GPS software? I use Tom Tom... great piece of software...and for free there is NoniGPSPlot, which isn't a really GPS navigation software like Tom Tom, but it's nice...

Okay. I've tried to use GPS with Google Maps, but it doesn't find any satellites. However, when I use GPS Info to search to satellites, it does find some. Why is that ? It doesn't find satellites with NoniGPSPlot either.

Hi,
you have to wait some minutes for the fix the first time (3-5 min or more). Lie still (is important) in the middle of an open space like a square or somewhere else (and not at home or somewhere under a roof)... The second and successive fixes will be faster (ca: 30s-1min), but stay always still for the fix...

I have personal testing this code on my xv6800 with stock ROM, then I
upgraded to the MR1 ROM from HTC for the xv6800 with WM 6.1 and
install the GPSServer.cab and it works perfect for both ROMs without
doing any unlocking or running anything else other then just the GPSServer.cab
BTW for anyone with the stock ROM running WM 6.0 and would like to
upgrade to Windows Mobile 6.1 .. you can download the MR1 ROM direly
from HTC

can't get it to work..
Hi all! I followed this method a while back and had Google maps working great for quite some time! This past weekend I tried to use it with GPS and it couldn't find any satellites. I figured it was maybe too much cloud cover or other interference related to my location. Anyhow, yesterday I updated my XV6800 to MR2, installed the latest Google maps (3.0.0.12) and still cannot get it to find any satellites. after playing with the COM ports and location setting (currently COM4 and Loc ON) without success I installed GPS Toggle, which also cannot find any satellites.
Anyone have any suggestions to get this working again? Does this even work with MR2? I'd be happy to go back to MR1, though MR2 seems to be a little smoother and faster.

BTW, I was looking around my device and I found a different version of gpsapi.dll (hidden) in the Windows directory. I'm thinking this may be the problem. It won't let me modify it though, as it's a system file. I can view it using SKTools, but not modify it.
Can you recommend a file manager program that'll let me move / copy / replace system files?

You can't modify a rom file or one that is created by the rom itself. Or at least I don't know how

I'm pretty new here and new to the XV6800. I have a rom version that I downloaded from htc site that under device info reads 3.57.605.1 I don't know what MR1 or MR2 is or is mine an MR3?? Also I have a Radio version of 3.37.75?? My question is can I install this to get GPS or AGPS working on my device? Do I have to install a different radio to get it working?

Read the thread for a while that drewcam8888 lists above "adapter program to ......" and then make sure you change the registry settings as it describes for Valhalla in the posts from the past couple of days. I believe I posted #627 which has the places to edit for Valhalla. Listen to what others say to make sure you have everything right.
mine failed around the same time but using a different set of cab files which had worked flawlessly on both previous installs of MR1 . Is this perhaps something from verizon?....Anyway having not installed from a wrar file before how do you install the valhalla cab when the redirects disconnect from the server?
I have a xv6800 and i got it last week, the person that i got it from updated the rom. a couple days ago i cleared the storage, which i guess is a hard reset, but i wanted to know if that resets my Rom

resets to a fresh install of your current rom. It removes all none rom files.

I've been finding I'm having problems this week using TTNavigator (when I didn't have problems before)... I'm wondering if something went wrong with my GPS Update?

Actually I don't expect anything else from this phone since I have it for about 2 years, probably the system is already modified and the phone is to old for it.

Delete xtra.bin in the Temp folder and the Windows folder, and soft reset.
^that is what worked for me
