Need a Screen Replacement

Yes, I got the dreaded cracked screen after I dropped my device. Can someone tell me where I can buy another screen or a replacement one. I have been on EBay and that did not have any luck.

if its any of the xda's 1,2 or S, u can buy it from www.pdasmart.com . Efficent service and the cheapest ones as well.. but mate if its executive or jasjar..then u r screwed..cause i broke mine few days back..n i got a replacement from imate at a cost of $180.

ok today was a great day I found a place in US that will fix JasJars broken/cracked lLCD Screens. $250 = new screen and they install it.

250 sounds a lot. how much is a new jasjar over there?

I am not sure how much they are selling for, I am not even sure any of the couriers (Cigualar, Tmobile, Sprint) even have them on their radar to start selling them. I was one of the lucky ones at a Microsoft PDC and bought mine for $150. I can tell you after I broke my lcd I worked with IMATE for a repair and they wanted $200 for a new LCD, but they could not tell me what the labor charge would be and I would have to pay for shipping to and from United Arab Emerates which from the TNT shipping company looked to be $80 each way. So I saw $200 + Labor charge $50 to $100 + 80 + 80 = $410 or $460 and did not feel the device was worth that.
I did put in a "Want it now" search in EBay and everyone wanted $200 or more just for the LCD panel
My thought was I was having a heck of a time 3 weeks to even find anyone who would sell a LCD or fix the device themselves. I tried many places in UK and Canada with no luck. This place was in USA (so i could bug them easier on what was happen) and seems to have a good reputation on the web.

8525 Mobo's for sale

Hi guys. I have a 2 AT&T 8525 Motherboards and screens. Both work very well. They were turned for repair and the customers decided to trade hem in on crackberrys. So if anyone need a mobo, screen, batts or keyboards. Please make an offer. I accept paypal.

I can sell you the main board and it has Black Majik already installed on it. It is 100% working and I will shipping is around $25.00. The other board has vp3G's WM6 v3.61 loaded on it. Both were tested and work great.

Hi, I'm really interested in the front assembly (buttons, front case, harness)...I got mine used, and it was not treated kindly One of the big problems is the 'mail' button doesn't click- I think that is part of the harness, but I don't know. If you have all (or some) of those pieces let me know. What is a reasonable price? Thanks!

Selling a Hermes - Advise only (not a pitch)

Just wondering if I can get some advise.
I just bought a Tytn II and am now going to sell my T-Mobile Vario II. I was wondering what sort of price I should be looking for one now-a-days.
It's got the original box, but no warranty. I can put my hands-free kit in from my Tytn II as I really don't need it.
I've got the original charger and a USB sync/charge cable are easy to add.
I can also throw in my Tytn II's case. I don't need that either.
It's in near pristine condition. I got it in about April after sending my first one back to T-Mobile for repair. They replaced it instead. However, on the corner is a small, but very obvious scuff which I plan on showing when selling it.
Just wondering if anyone can advise me on what sort of price you would expect to pay for this phone if you was buying it so I can get a rough idea of what to expect.
I'll be putting the Official T-Mobile Windows Mobile 6 on the device and it is unlocked.

i reckon £130, but saying that the official wm6 and unlocked aswell wouldcrank it up if u put it on ebay. dont seel for less than 130 though.

That kind of price is actually quite a bit above what I was thinking. I was looking at more about £70. Especially considering the scuff on the corner is quite visible with the device being grey and red.
It's not damage which will effect the device in any way shape or form, but it is clearly visible. That's it's only downside.

I'd look at the prices on ebay... On Aussie ebay most Hermes sell for around $200Aud. This is my observation for about 2 months... Watch how they sell on ebay for a week then decide how to go about this.
Most people tend to bid in the last few hours and I've seen a Jasjam go from $55 to almost $300Aud in the course of 20 mins.
I don't know how it is on UK ebay but my advice is watch and learn.

Good advice.
I'd say as well (having sold a couple of phones on ebay) decent descriptions and pictures add more than you would expect to the price, so spend a bit of time writing some decent text and describing the functions in detail.
May as well watch http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=200242138578 - it's a similarly replaced Vario II so should give you an idea of what it will go for, once it completes.

i only paid a £100 for mine 12 months ago and that was virtually new, a midwife had got it on contract and then found it far too complicated to use. £130+ to me is way off the mark. I have tried to buy a few on ebay and they generally sell from £70-£100 depending on the condition , accessories included etc.

The item linked by Marsbar is going for a really high price.
To be honest, I think I'll put it on there for £70 with full pictures of it up and working then let it run for 7 days.
I just sold a Samsung Tocco on there (free upgrade from Orange) for £200 on a buy it now. That was done within hours. I think the Tytn could fetch quite a bit more than I anticipated.

It's not just the housing, it's a fully functional phone AND a SPARE housing.
$100 works out about £60 GBP, I was really hoping to get more then that considering all the parts.. I paid £40 for the spare housing, £20 each for the desktop cradles......

30$ is really cheap and usually you get what you pay for.

Yeah I bought one, (not from china) and it worked fine. I think the total was under $33. Only took 2 or 3 days to get here.

I am after a digitizer by itself, I have purchased a TyTN 2 for repairing, but the touchscreen has no sensor? no feeling?.. um, non-responsive
