Now that I have sold my HTC Universal for $600USD, I wait to buy the HTC Athena. HTC Athena will be marketed in early-mid march. It is known as the T-Mobile Ameo or the Dopod U1000. Price will range from $650USD to $1000USD? If I am correct I think its competitors (well personally I think that Athena is no way comparable to this garbage f***ed ) are going to be Apple iPhone and O2 XDA Flame. You can take iPhone off your list. It is very low on performance wise. Same goes for O2 XDA Flame. Although both Flame and iPhone will be very popular, dont fall for it! They are smaller and sleeker too! iPhone = $500 and Flame probably $700?
Anyways when Athena hits market anywhere in Asia, Europe or the Americas please post links here that all of us can use to make purchases.

Not really i think the price i offer is pretty descent for a pocket pc only. I dont want any addons. Just a plain vanilla. Since with all addons it costs 600 pounds then maybe 400 pounds without addons? or maybe i have to wait longer?
When you say *all the add-ons* I hardly think the gift pack is adding much to it.

You know they quite often delay the Availability date? ......let's hope this time they won't!
I hate the price but this is so far the best looking body finish. Original unmodified HTC Advantage X7500 available to be bought from HTC themselves. Price is $1500USD. >.> Dang.

As you can see, they are on pre-order only, that's why some member here decide to buy from me, they don't want to wait anymore! beside that i can get it cheaper than $1500, i can get it for $1260 including shipping !

It's not out yet the Advantage until beginning of april. I have official confirmation on this. If you look at that seller, he is also selling the Apple iPhone 8G ! Do you believe it or not, your decision.
Yea its not out. maybe thats a pre-order or its just another fraud.. but still i like that offer. Maybe something like that will come later on. I like the black athena and i will only go for that. i had a silver universal earlier and didnt like it much.

@neo3424: The phone is great, but honestly, after getting used to the Touch HD's AMAZING screen, its really difficult going back to anything smaller. I also found myself typing quick and accurate on the touch hd's on screen keyboard. i cant afford to keep both, so i decided to sell the xperia.
btw, for those interested in buying, i'll also include my bestbuy receipt (dated 1/30/09), so you can still go back and purchase the extended warranty if you wish.

yeah I got a great deal.. it was from an ad, and the box wasnt even broken hade a sticker from the swedish operator telenor still on it =)

Considering how long ago the HD was launched I can't imagine that it will sell for top dollar.
the highest offer i got on my HD that i recently put on ebay was 475 plus 20 shipping. I relisted because i want at least 500 for it.
I sold mine is feb for $690 on ebay and bought an iphone. You will get enough for an iphone for sure (at contract price).
Will buy the new iPhone 3GS regardless of whether I get good price for my HD or not. Will also keep my iPhone 3G 16GB for my family. Everyone of them wants me to pass to them.

You shouldn't have a problem selling it for at least £350... I was monitoring the HTC HD up till 2 weeks ago (I got mine last week, finally got it under contract from O2) coz I was thinking of getting one without contract..
All the phones were going for above £300, even the ones where it's been 'used' for a week or a month...
Might be selling mine on ebay after I get the TP2 with Tmob USA!

well ... OS3 sound great ... at least IPhoners now get "copy & paste" and some other nice features

however, i want something that is quick to use, and doesn't give you rsi as you need to put a fair bit of pressure on the screen

lol, I've used the iPhone 3G for some months and now I'm back to the Touch HD and probably won't get an iPhone again (at least I definitely won't get the 3GS, I'm waiting for the Samsung i8000 or the Acer F1).
The iPhone is still way too limited. At least it's got copy&paste and voice control now but the camera still sucks, it still can't download things from the internet, the display resolution is still bad and lots of other things that were disturbing me.
Unlike the iPhone, my Touch HD does everything I want (except for good pictures in low light) and there's no situation where it lets me down because Windows Mobile is limitless.

I have not seen any one with stock.
There was an image of the allegedly HTC capacitive stylus which looked just like the DAGi styus "stamped" with HTC.
I dont know how reliable this image is.def

The ones on ebay are not the fabled HTC patented stylus which should be available this month.

Thats ridiculously over priced, sorry but no thanks. Im thinking in the low 100s. Most are used and new ones are hard to come up on. I currently have an Epic 4G Touch, but it isnt the same as a HD2.
