Destinator 6 and bluetooth GPS??

Hi,
I've installed Destinator 6 for PDA's on my MDA Compact. It's the only software installed besides the default ROM and Route66. (I only use it for navigation)
But no matter what settings I try in Destinator, I keep getting the message "GPS antenna not found".
But when running Route66......no problems at all with my GPS receiver. So how come Route66 is able to find my paired GPS receiver, but Destinator isn't?? Is Destinator THAT crappy??
Destinater 6 works fine for me. Even with a virtual com port. Sounds like you don't have the com configured correctly. There is a 'find GPS' function in destinator 6.
I too have Destinator 6 with a Globalsat BT308 GPS and it works perfectly.

BT-74R Bluetooth GPS with TomTom on M600

Hey,
I have purchased a BT-74R Bluetooth GPS receiver from ebay for my Orange SPV M600
I was wondering if anyone else has this receiver, or a similar one, and what version of TomTom are they using?
Just so I can get my PDA going with a version of TomTom that works with it!
Thanks!!
I have it, it is brilliant. Quick start up and strong signal, you can even get a good signal inside the house.
I have tested a number of SAT NAV programs, they all work perfectly with this phone and receiver, TOMTOM is the best so far for me, if IGO ever introduce Speed Camera Pois then it would probably win.

Anyone using Bluetooth GPS?

Hi all,
Anyone using BT GPS?
If so, which one, how do you find it, and what software are you running.
Thanks Guys..
Ratzz,
I use a holux unit, coupled with Garmin Que and GPS Proxy. It only works well wih the tytn rom. I tried it with the DOPOD rom but it keeps freezing the screen.
Another note, Using the tytn rom has eliminated my alignment issues with regards to the screen.
regards
TomTom 6 & a Fortuna GPSlim.
Takes a little while to sort itself out when TomTom starts, but seems fine after a couple of minutes.
I cant use Tom Tom cause of the malaysian Map not being available
I'm using Holux GPSlim 236 with Destinator 6 when on the road and OziExplorer when roaming in nature.
yes I do
Using a Xloc and tomtom 6
Work great
Holux GPSlim 236 with Tomtom 5 (I am about to upgrade) and PTGmap for topo maps in Garmin format.
Using Destinator 6 (yep, I work in Destinator) with a large variety of BT GPS: GNS, Royaltek, Globalsat, Emtec and some others.
Do not forget that after you pair a GPS using MS BT manager, you also need to enable an outgoing portfor this connection.
I'm using Tom Tom 6 with Hamlet gps BT and it's ok!!!

I am using Iguidance with the Globsat 338 Its ok, the only problem is that if a call comes through, you have to restart the program.
Which one is the fastest and smallest SirfIII-based BT GPS unit you would suggest for TomTom?
Fortuna Clip-on for me, used with iGo on my m3100, although I have also used it with tomtom on previous pda's. Will upgrade tomtom and put that on a memory card shortly.
I'm using a Navilock BT338 GPS Mouse (SIRF3), which works perfectly together with my MDA3,MDApro and MDA Vario2 as well! I'm using it with TT5.21 for more than a year, and will upgrade to TT6 (just tested, works fine too!) soon.
The navilock keeps contact to satellites which are not seen/found by several others, can even be kept in your pocket and works without problems behind thermo-windows in cars! It is very small and is working over a whole day without loading, standby more than a week, and ist very easy to set up (connect to COM4).

TOMTOM Navigator 6 Bluetooth GPS problems

Hi,
I have a new Orange SPV M3100. It is a replacement for one which was damaged. Prior to to exchange I was running navigator 6 on the old phone with a navicore bluetooth gps receiver fine. I have installed tomtom navigator 6 on my new phone but there is no way I can get a GPS signal. The gps receiver is connected. I then try to connect via tomtom and nothing. Have followed instructions on this link to no avail:
http://www.tomtom.com/support/solution.php?GID=3&PID=1402&SID=0&CID=223&Language=1&FID=4806
The problem is that when trying to select a port there are no bluetooth serial ports listed. I have spent 2 days trying to get this sorted to no avail. any help would be appreciated.
turn on bluetooth, make sure tomtom is not running, and go to bluetooth settings, search for devices and pair with the gps unit.
then assign the device a port,i always choose 9 and close.restart phone start tomtom and setup gps device as other etc and port 9 should show and hopefully the jobs oxo!
i hope this helps
great instructions...
only one thing to add, on a certain build of Tomtom (i forget which i have used every build since version 2 IIRC)
i had to tell tomtom that i was using "Other NMEA GPS Reciever"
On all other builds i have had to do the same steps to pare the BT GPS device, followed by making the OUTGOING Com port and then tell TomTom i was using "Other Bluetooth GPS Reciever" in order to get it working...
if your having problems see if one or the other device can make the difference ONCE YOU HAVE FOLLOWED THE ABOVE INSTRUCTIONS.

Will Navagation Software work without a bluetooth reciever?

Ok so im looking to get a navigation gps program for my mogul, My question is, since i have the update rom 3.56 with windows mobile 6.1 with gps will i have to purchase a bluetooth reciever to use lets say the garmin mobile xt or copilot live 7 to work?
hmmm still waiting, can anyone help?
No. It should "just work".
With the newest ROM update, I heard they put the drivers to enable GPS so you would not need an external bluetooth GPS Receiver.
I use iGuidance on mine (DCD 3.2.5 rom) and it works great.
