Ok... I found out this new account manager in
Start-->settings-->Connection
But:
On my HD there is only youtube account.
I looked out at registry: HKLM|Software\HTC\HTCAccountManager
and I found some Facebook key... how to activate it???
Problem number two: I don't find youtube player in my HD brand TIM. Some Italian that have same problem?? I will try to install the HTC youtubeplayer taking it from this forum...
I tried the HTCyoutubeplayer from the room Development and Hacking, but nothing, it doesn't go...

Friends,as i have seen in many video reviews,Htc HD is suppose to be able to play youtube flash media directly right?with no additional software or tweaking or porting required right? Can someone plse confirm this, that the touch HD can on its own play youtube media files with whatever native application it has.
thank you for all your help.
You can see youtube video using the HTCyoutubeplayer that is on your HD.
The problem is for Italian's that have a HD brand TIM, because TIM didn't include youtubeplayer in his brand!!!
Can somebody, that have in account manager FACEBOOK, copy the registry in
HKLM\Software\HTC\HTCAccountManager
just to see if it's different from mine??

I don't think that anyone have this activated, but i'm also interest in this. Does anyone have a solution?
Look at this:
http://pda.pl/news/dzieki_instrukcji_touch_hd_wiemy_czym_jest_account_manager
Mhh, wich setting for the parameters should we use? Here they are:
Facebook Account: -> ?
Facebook Username: -> Of corse the Username
Facebook Secret: -> ?
Facebook UserID: -> The UserId in the profile URL
Facebook Session: -> ?
Facebook Token: -> ?
I also will soon need the YouTube Player, so if a CAB file of it exists and can be linked here, or if it can be built easily, posting it here would be really appreciated.
Any News on this one?
Someone?....
Can anyone translate Polish???

VRINGO(FULL FEATURED AND STABLE RELEASE)(just 2mb installation)
hello friends, while browsing internet,i came through this software which i suppose is the 1st ever video ringtone application for pocket pc.The most important thing in it is that its totally free.
STEPS TO INSTALL VRINGO
1)JUST REGISTER ON http://www.vringo.com by providing your own mobile number with country code.
2)DOWNLOAD APPLICATION(well the cab is already attached below) from http://mobile.vringo.com.
3)INSTALL it to your desired location, either on storage card or on device memory, but storing on device memory allows faster operation
4)LOGIN once using your account details, then from the third menu(FIND VRINGOS) select any one of the online provided videos to set as your videotone.
5)BUDDIE-LIST-you can also set different video ringtones for different callers by creating a buddie-list and adding your personal contacts.
6)NOW if anyone wants to have their own made videos to be set as videotone, then convert the whole video(max 30 secs) to .3gp format, rename it to pre_vringo & copy it to My device/Application Data/Vringverwrite the previous file & restart the application.
7)REMEMBER-you need to have a working internet connection in order to login to this software, however after logging once,it dont requires it afterwards....try it & enjoy
I guess somebody try this out. Sometimes my phone lags enough as it is if I get a call while streaming music over BT. I probably dont have enough memory for this one a Titan.

Thanx for this app. I've been looking for this app for a long time now! Hey, but I have a doubt. Do I have to have a Internet connection on my mobile for this software to work? Can't I just download the cab file provided here & install it? Do I have to register at vringo.com & login for this to work? Please reply anyone.
thanks

This is what I use for 3gp (I just couldn't get a working 3gp from SuperC)
Just tried it on my i900 and it works for the existing videos but when I attempt to use of my own that I have edited to 30seconds or less (tried 30 and 18) it doesn't pick up the file at all?
I then went to upload file, wondering if I can upload it then download it (just out of curiosity) it was saying file size to large.
Not sure if or where I am going wrong, any advice?
Hi,
At Vringo.com I found a great selection of video ringtones from TV shows, movies, and bands.. It's also a great mobile video sharing site which allows to find and create video ringtones and then share them with our friends.

Does livecast works on a diamond? Is not listed as one of the supported devices.
Ok, yesterday I've played a little with the Social Network Engine and I've finally dioscovered how to get it to work...
Prerequisiste: have HTC album installed...pretty obiousvly. Then..
1) Install the cab extracted from the Blackstone (I've found it somewhere in this forum, can't remeber exactly where: sorry to the author)
2) Extract the SocialNetworkEngine archive and copy it into your SD. Then move all files into windows folder (using totalcommander, resco or similar). Theese files are part of the oem pack of the original app.
3) Extract the last one archive, that contains only the provxml file, and copy it into your SD. Then open Advanced Configuration Tool made by Shaps, select "Menu" then "Import provxml".
4) Softreset.
That's all guys.
PS: I've got no time to make a cab now, sorry again.
sorry for my dumb question, but what exactly is "the social network engine" ?

bye!
ah, thanks for the informations!
It doesn't seem to work here ... I followed your instructions to the letter but cannot login to facebook or youtube afterwards ..
Youtube says " You input the incorrect username or password " and
facebook says : " There was an error while attempting to login "
I'm using Dutty's V4 Rom
Am I to dumb or missing something ?
Garf
No...don't think you've missed something (just to ask: did you made a softreset?) because:
A) youtube should work even without my istructions, just installing the cab.
B) facebook should give you anotherone type of error (something like "connection attempt...")
Theese errors seems to be related to the user/password you've digited.
EDIT:
the facebook error is the same that I had befor import the provxml I've posted here. Did you do it and then softreset?
Found it !!!
This social Networking implemetation from HTC seems stoopid ....
Guess what the problem was ???????????
My passwords were too complex or too long !!!
I had a password in with 8 letters , Upper & Lower case , Numbers and Special Characters both for facebook and youtube .... Just changeing the password to something simpler made both work perfectly
*** AARGHHHHH ***
Now I just need to figure how complex I can make my passwords without breaking the social networking again !
Thanks
Claude
Ahahah...no comment!!!
Anyhow: happy that you solved.
Cheers.
Worked perfectly
Got this up and running perfectly doing your steps exactly on a Sprint Diamond running Juicy 3.9 ROM.
Thanks!
-Mike
works on pistonrippers rom.
cheers
brilliant app, love this many thanks
Chris
I'm glad to see that it works without any poroblem.
I'm really interested to know, discover, test...if this app can be used also with other services (not just with faceboo, youtube, ecc...) but also to upload photos to flickr, or songs to myspace in example. Dunno, but maybe it's just a base and it can be "expanded"...
doesn't work here on a german rom!?!
@Herr_Knigge:
I'm sorry, but I don't know cause I've got a WWE rom.
Maybe some files (that were extracted from an international rom) will cause some "compatibility" issues with a localized rom.
Can't help you a lot on this plane.
Sorry again.
i know this might sound daft, but is there any way to use a html doc to open the Album.exe ?
one of the guys posted the following in the dev and hacking section as a front for facebook mobile,
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=3080511#post3080511
i like the idea and have been playing around with it to make it more usable for me, then thought about trying to include a link to the album now it can be used to upload to facebook. ive included my edit to give you an idea of what im thinking but the code is beyond me
if anyone thinks this could work feel free
I'm not an HTML expert, anyhow I'm pretty sure that's not possible.
I think the only link to an external program (without that the browser ask you for a confirm) will be made with the command "mailto:" to send an email with you favourite desk app.
Moreover, if you use opera to open the page that you've posted above, the space needed on the bottom bar to create the new shortcut will be overdrwaned by the small menu button of the browser.
Anyhow, I found this "trick" very nice and I want to try it sometimes. So I've just correct a small line of the code to erase the useless (and very annoying) horizontal scrollbar. If you want to test it, just rename the file to fbook.html then copy it into the original folder and say "yes" to overwrite the old one.
Cheers.
im running the stock rom for sprints touch pro... will this still work for me?
Think so.
Don't imagine why it should not...
Regards.
Ok I followed your step to the letter and everything seemed to work great, no hiccups during install I was even able to login to facebook with no errors. I tried the other facebook program and could not get it to login so that was good (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=3125204#post3125204).
On the top my little data transfer thing is going but its going and going and going, and no picture has been uploaded. How long do I have to wait for 1 picture? I have a feeling that this is not working right on the Sprint Touch Pro stock ROM.
Is there a way for me to view the uploader (did not see it in program files), also the album seems to be more responsive and easier to navigate, is it just my imagination? Last Some of the thumnails wont populate, I have to exit and then come back in and then they appear, is this a bug in this version of the album or always there>
when i had my T-Mo Shadow i installed tcpmp and whenever i was on PIE (and only on PIE) and there was an embedded video on the page i would click on it and it would bring up this little menu that asked if i wanted to 1- download the vid; 2- play the vid (thru tcpmp); and 3- go to the page the video was on.
on some sites the save-video option was grey'd out but i was wondering if this was an option of TP2?
i know theres that wvd 1.6 or something out there but thats only compatible with certain sites.
anyone got any info on this at all or is this not existent?
I think you may be thinking of the Flash Video Bundle, found here. I used to have it on my Kaiser and it sure sounds like what you're describing.
yes sir, thank u very much
I am very impressed with my HD2 - in my case from T-Mobile UK. There is no external T-Mobile branding but there are some ROM customisations.
On the software side I notice there is no YouTube application - has anyone else found this? I would like to get the YouTube app and also the BBC iPlayer application (both of which came with my HD) - any ideas?
I also notice a T-Mobile IM app. It does not work at all but I see from the T-Mobile UK website it is only free for 30 days anyway.

I'm on the T-Mobile build as well.
I have got the iPlayer working perfectly now - using MyPlayer and Coreplayer. It allows downloads, streaming and Live TV on both data and wifi. Also, someone posted a decent YouTube app on here today as well. As for the other bit of software missing, HTC Peep sounds next to useless from feedback on here any way...

Works fine so far
btw, tried flashing to the WWE ROM last night and as I expected got a Vendor ID error. Apparently some have flashed their chinese HD2s with the WWE English East Europe ROM which worked, however I'm a bit hesitant unless someone else confirms this works on the T-Mobile edition.

I'm the same. I just installed myPlayer and the Coreplayer. I didn't do anything they just worked straight away.
Do you have T-Mobiles content Lock active on your account? That might block it. Call CS to remove or do it on the website.

Yes, you need both MyPlayer and CorePlayer. MyPlayer is the prog that you choose your video download/stream/radio station on, and it uses CorePlayer as the media player. If you still have problems, let me know and i'll talk you through step by step what settings I have entered to make it work - I can't remember what I changed (if anything) to make it work!

Lee it looks like I have an initial problem with Opera & the BBC mobile iPlayer web site which I hope you can help me with....

2. Have not downloaded MyPlayer yet but I'm assuming once it is installed and configured CorePlayer should pick up the iPlayer files?
Thanks in advance.

Re the problem with Opera is that when I go to the BBC iPlayer site and click on a file to view the site then informs me it can not display the video as I need Flash Player.
If you then follow the links to download the player it takes you to Adobe's site but the download is for the PC version and not WIndows Mobile.
Do you have any issues with the iPlayer on Opera with your Phone?
