I just got the diamond yesterday and have been having a blast with it. I had just got used to playing around with my HTC6800. I have read through all the forums and done searches. I came a ccross a app that let me bypass my audio booster with out using headphones. I then had to hard reset my phone and now I can not find it. I know you have many people asking the same question but all links lead back to a circle. Can you point me in the way of the program I downloaded.
Thanks Rich

Are you thinking about this 1 ? ..
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=428170
For the tweak:
Enable Audio Booster without headset-->HKLM/System/State/Hardware/Headset set the value to 1 (soft reset will bring it back to 0)

hi everyone.
i've search around the forum, but havent found the solution yet.
i'll try to explain my problem clearly now. when i make a call, the other person cannot hear my voice, or it's way to soft to be heard.i can hear the caller clearly though. The signal is okay, so thats not the problem. To figure out whether the problem is due to the hardware(microphone) or the software, i plugged in the headset, and the other party can hear it clearly. so i thought the hardware might be the culprit here.
i did a second test, i try to record my voice using the note application, and my voice was recorded excellently. so, right now i think the real problem has something to do with the software, NOT the hardware.
as i said, i've search the forum, and here some of the solution that i tried but didnt work.
1. HKLM\Software\HTC\AUDIOGAIN(x)\RECEIVE_UPLINK_VOLUME = CC
and HKLM\Software\HTC\AUDIOGAIN(x)\EARPHONE_UPLINK_VOLUME = CC
2. hard reset
3. try various rom
4. hkcu\controlpanel'soundcategories\incall\initvol = 0 or 6 (both didnt work)
5. set the call volume highest (still sound very weak)
FYI, i didnt use bluetooth stack or bluetooth headset. please, does anyone have solution for this. i cannot afford to use my headset all the time.
any help would be much appreciated
so, no one willing to help? hmm..this forum is not as helpful as it was before year ago when i first joined it. thank you anyway

You've GOT to be kidding. No responses in 6 whole hours?!? I can't believe the total lack of help around here. Just like every other forum, you need to wait at least 24 hours before you bump your post.

as u can see, by the next 24 hours, this thread will go into archive, and DEAD. the same thing happen to my previous 'asking-for-help' thread. maybe some of the guys think this is just a stupid thread create by a lazy-to-search noobie. whatever. or maybe magician people is more helpful than wizard's.hmm we'll see how it goes
I am having to same problem and would like to resolve it.
Me three.
I have a BT Headset that isn't stereo and does not support A2DP - and it never had this problem. Audiogain does NOT work on devices not manufactured by HTC.
I have also experienced this problem, its hard to tell but i think the problem started after installing voice command, ihave since had the phone restored to default rom and it was fine during this period, i now have new rom with vioce command built in and problem has come back..try uninstalling VC if you can or use a rom without it on.
I recently purchased a copy of GPS Speed Sentry. The problem I have is that I cannot get it to recognise any warning sounds/tones. This is the response I had from the developer :
"Assuming you can hear other sounds such as MP3's etc there are a couple of things to try. Below is a cut and paste from my forum http://tchartdev.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1203795747/0#0
Its not all good news though as most people who have had this problem have to do a hard reset to resolve it.
Ive had a few users report this and its actually something to do with the oprerating system as the API to play the sound doesnt not work.
Ive no idea why this happens as I am using bog standard API calls to play wav files.
Regards
Trevor "
Does anybody have an easier option, rather than a hard reset ? Thanks.
Hey, I've looked around and searched some in the forums but haven't quite found what I'm looking for, sorry if this already been brought up.
Anyway, my Touch HD stops working while I run youtube application, this means, that the whole phone will lock/freeze itself and I can't even return by the "home" button and the phone won't even vibrate, it's just dead but the screen still shows. Same happens when I run TomTom and Media player at the same time, this really bothers me cause I'd like to be able to listen to music at the same time while I'm driving. The only way then to bring the phone back to life, is by using the restart button, and I really don't want to open my phone every 2 minutes just to restart it. Anyway, is there anyone who can help me with this? I have no idea what it can be...
Answers are really appreciated, thanks alot for reading and thanks in advance!
could be due to other installed programs... i would uninstall all programs except TomTom and YouTube and see if you have any problems. if not, then it could be due to one of more of the programs you removed. i would then add each program back to my device retest and if you have a problem you know its related to the program. if this process fails, then a hard-reset may be required to clear any issues.
Hi guys,
I was wondering if anyone had a similar problem as I do, and have a solution for this.
My speech to text option does not work anymore. when i say anymore, i meant it used to work before i had to change the sd card and hard reset the phone (as it was stuck on white screen couple of days ago). I got that the phone to work but now it caught a bug. I dont use this feature as much, but it sort of bug me to know that there is this bug. get it?
so.. i read on a forum elsewhere, that it was due to the headset. i did use the headset several times. But i cant remember if i used the headset before or after i found out that i have this speech problem. moreover, i have restarted the phone but still to no avail.
kindly give ur opinion or a solution to this matter.
Thanks!
so.. seriously?
no answers or opinions? im kinda disappointed now.
i figured it out on my own
Sometimes when I plug my earphones in, the music player shows it as playing, but there's no sound in the earphones. When i remove them, it works fine through the speakers. Tried using different earphones, but same result. Have to restart the phone to be able to use the earphones again.
I have been experiencing this problem since 3 days now.
Has anybody else experienced similar problems? Any solution?
I'm using stock Gingerbread on Moto Defy+.
Please ask all questions in Q&A. Thread moved there.
At first, I see only 2 options, despite trying another ROM:
1 - Try other music players.
2 - Be sure that you haven't changed any option in any Voice Search / Dialer. And if you have changed, try to reset to default options.

Hmn... in tha case, there's still a lot of things to do.
If the problem is with the phone's jack, you can try to clean it with a blow or compressed air.
There's a bunch of apps, like Ringo Pro, that are known to cause some similar issues, as reported in this thread: https://forums.motorola.com/posts/6f261e8427?commentId=564506#564506
After all, if you'r not willing to root and flash other roms in your phone, you might also try bluetooth earphones.

If dust etc were the problem, it wouldnt have worked after restart.
I went through the forum in the link. I havent installed any such app recently. The post might be useful for future though, thanks for that.
