I have been using the Salling Remote with my Touch Pro, and while it works great it would be nice to have an official VGA, or even modded version, for the Touch Pro, seeing as though the softkeys are a tad bit tiny and only clickable with the stylus. Also if anyone would know how to skin the app, or point me in the direction to go about doing it, it would be greatly appreciated, seeing as though it doesnt really fit in much with the whole touchflo theme. I am using the Touch Pro via bluetooth on my Macbook Pro, if that matters.

I saw that in the developing session they made a touch cube look a like application, but works for wm5-6....do you think it will be possible to have one for wm2003??
No it's not possible 'cause TouchFLO uses some files which aren't available for WM2003SE, I think!
at the end with our "fantastic specifications" of the Alpine but with wm2003, we can't try anything that could be useful...
.I think at the end I will take an HTC TOUCH CRUISE!!!
I should say that I am trying the spb pocketplus 4 and all smart scrolling (like iphone and Htc touch) are working...so why you say that it is not possible to have cube on wm2003 device???
They could do the same job they are doing for all other device without touchflow technology
i would also like the cube for wm2003, im using spb pocket plus 4 as well, & love the scrolling! is there any possible way for the cube to work on wm2003?? even a launcher? or somthing?
how can i activate the smart scrolling on spb 4
how can i activate the smart scrolling on spb 4?
Try this application, Slither2006's cube, SCLPC++. The latest version is WM5 only but he has released aversion which works just fine on my Alpine, the only caveat is that you can't use a finger swipe to start the application, just assign it to a button and you are good to go. All the other rotations etc are done withing the application itself.
I am very concerned about the ability to use basic applications on the Xperia's WVGA screen. I love the screen for DVD watching, but will it prevent me from using my favorite applications?
Can someone tell me if these will work:
Slingbox
Log Me In
Skyfire (when available)
Garmin Mobile XT
I know for the Toshiba G900 there is a program called WVGAfix or something that allows you to convert your screen to 640x480, I think.
Any insight into this problem would be helpful!
Thanks
Rick
If you hook me up with some links where i can download the apps, i can try 'em.. got a X1 infront of me..
Can do the same as well if you want. Currently using Opera and it works great. Wish you could use the pad to scroll around like a mouse though.. too bad.
Where are you guys getting your xperia's from, I'd love to get hold of one albeit pre-production.
Thanks
I am sorry, I don't have that software yet. I was going to wait until I got the Xperia.
In any event, can somebody make a program which you run on Xperia that can make all those VGA specific programs work? LIke there wvgafix for Toshiba G900?
EDIT: wrong thread!
Yeah, where do you guys get your X1s from!.

They might be tricking you - maybe they are like the rest of us - we don't have one yet!
Garmin Mobile XT is working without any problems on X1.
I don't think there will be much problems except navigation software.
I have a Toshiba G900 sind a good year with just this 480x800 and all standard software runs fine. AgendaFusion, TCPMP, TotalCommander, WisbarAdvancedDesktop (most important to me), the SBSH-collection, not to forget the great Softmaker Office which is very usefull with the screen -only navigation software is a problem that sometimes work, sometimes not.
Anyone tried Iguidance 4 with this resolution?
bump, we need to update this thread!
Btw, can someone tell me what are the differences between SPB Mobile Shell and SPB Pocket Plus?
is there any differences between SPB MS panel and the original SPB MS app?
Garmin Mobile XT is working just fine on X1, without any problems.
is advanced configuration 3.3 working for X1?
Yeah, advanced configuration 3.3 is working fine on my X1.
New version of Kinoma play is out and it is compatible with X1.

- Slingbox works OK. The video stream doesn't fill the whole screen (even with the aspect ratio set to 'wide'), and the interface buttons are kinda displayed correctly, but seemed to be actually shifted to the left, as when you press the power button for example, it's in reality a few buttons down. It's kinda hard to explain, but it seems like it's not being displayed at the right resolution, even tho all the images files, seem to be made for VGA (at least they're labeled that way).
- LogMeIn looks beautiful on this screen. And there's A LOT less screen scrolling compared to a QVGA screen, obviously. But compared to my old Tilt, it's a pleasure using LMI on this phone.
- Skyfire doesn't work yet, but you probably already knew that. It immediately crashes or closes down as soon as you try to load it. Hopefully, they'll add W/VGA support, because sites also look amazing on Opera.
- I don't use Garmin, but TomTom 7 looks and performs great. It looks as sharp as it should. Don't know if it's really scaling to the full resolution, but it sure looks like it.
Could you Please Post Pictures Of What The SlingPlayer Mobile Client Looks Like

That was my main concern, how the SlingBox would work with the Xperia X1, so that's good news. If possible could you please post a few pictures of how the SlingPlayer mobile client looks on the Xperia X1, thanks in advance....!
Hi,
How to have a finger mouse like omnia on Diamon or Touch Pro?
Lele.
i would like to see that on diamond as well as u do !!
I had the Samsung Epix which is the Omnia with a hard-keyboard.
The fingermouse was AWESOME for navigating the OS. After a while you learn to "double-fist" it. I would use one thumb to work the optical sensor while the pointer-finger on my other hand for scroll-flicking, some clicking, press-n-hold menu, and close button.
Being able to use 2 hands really helps alot especially since our screens can not take multiple screen inputs at once. Cool thing is that the touchpad is multitouch capable.

I know! I wish someone would make the touchpad a mouse. Or allow us to use it in games or something.
There is a piece of mouse software floating around.. Have tried it but cannot remember the name...
Google might be your friend.
How was the mouse software you tried?
theirs "fake mouse" i think it's called, it's free but personally not very good
the one i use and love is "VirtuaMouse" you can adjust the size of the curser to extra small so it is amazing in remote desktop
you can probably find a "trial" if you look around
otherwise just check their site and i think they have an official one there
Hi,
After seven years using imates, O2s and HTCs (all touch screen models) I had a go at Palm Treo Pro and must say I like it a lot. At least the qwerty keyboard keeps my screen free to actuelly view my aps while entering text. Also the phone part is much better supported.
btw, did you see the new Pre, looks awesome !
anyway, I find the Pro's WMP skin having too tiny buttons. OK, the navigation pad does a very good job, but I still i would like to install a skin with bigger buttons and yet keep album art displayed. I Tried Tweak Windows Media Player (pocketgear) but WMP/Options wont let me install it.
any suggestions for good square skins !
I showed a friend of mine how, on my Fuze, I'm able to flick through my emails in Outlook and he was wondering if there was a similar app for his Palm Pro (Sprint).
Whenever I do a search for 'TouchFlo' on the forum, I usually end up with threads about M2D or M3D, which isn't what I'm looking for. Is there any way to add the TouchFLO from the Fuze/Raphael to the Treo Pro? If not, does anyone know if FTouchFLO provides the same functionality as HTC's TF?
I am almost certian Manilla is a code name from the developers for touchflo. As for the M2D(Manilla 2d) is touchFlo 2d and M3D(Manilla 3D) is touchflo 3D. So thats the case. Go and check youtube videos of M2D or M3D and see if thats what your looking for. But like you said on your Fuze (Touch Pro) then it was M3D which is not working for our treo pro
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=334965
You want this! I run it on my wife's TreoPro and it is flawless. The alphas are free, the final versions are now a paid app but include some other stuff along with being a bit more stable. Lighweight and dependable.
Brian:
I'm pretty sure Manilla and TouchFlo are different things. Manilla (2D and 3D) is just a user interface. I'm talking about the underlying gesture recognizer that comes on the Fuze. I call it TouchFLO because that is the entry in the control panel. The wiki says the name 'TouchFLO' is just HTC's branding, but it's also the finger interface that other devices lack.
furry:
I was looking at FTouchFLO, but wasn't sure it did everything my friend liked that HTC's TouchFLO does. On your wife's Treo, when you're in Outlook reading an email, can you flick the screen left for the next message and right for the previous?
Me and Zbop were talking about porting Touch Flo 3D to work on the Treo Pro.
He would patch the binaries to work under 320x320 and I would resize the graphic files and repoistion everything.
I'd have to get in contact with him to see if we can get this going or not.
I for sure would do it.
SO what is available for the Pro as of right now? Just TouchFLO 2D? How does it differ from TouchFLO 3D? I am just using SPB Mobile Shell 3 and find it a vast improvement over the standard Today screen crap. The interface is much sexier and much more condusive to fingering.
It is what it says. Its basically Touch Flo 2D except with 3D graphics and more eye candy.
Though it has more features.
My understanding about M3D vs. M2D is just aesthetics through hardware acceleration. For example, in M2D, the photo browsing tab lets you flick through your photos. M3D does the same, with the added effect of the photo actually sliding off the screen and the next taking its place. Just eye candy. (That, and I think M2D doesn't support VGA resolution as cleanly as M3D.)
You'll notice I'm referring to Manilla 2D and 3D and NOT TouchFLO. The HTC TouchFLO program I started this tread about is the underlying app that recognizes finger gestures for Manilla as well as adding 'flick-scroll' support to apps that don't internally support it (such as Total Commander or Outlook).
The main feature I'm looking for is specifically used in Outlook. It allows you to go to the next email by flicking the screen to the left or the previous to the right. It also allows you to flick to different email accounts if you're looking at the summary screen.
The program that you're looking for to have the finger scrolling option is called:
FtouchSL. I tried version 2.10 and it works just awesome on the Treo Pro GSM.
All you have to do is disable it in apps that don't like it. I'd HIGHLY recommend this proggie. Good luck!

I don't see why you'd want/need the finger-flicking on devices that have a useable D-pad.
For a touch-only device, yes you need it, and it helps the screen to be the entire user interface.
The Treo Pro has buttons. If you don't want to use them, I suggest buying something with a bigger screen.
