Qtek s200 french rom ----> Qtek s200 rom WWE ?!?

Hello,
I have just recieved my new qtek s200 with this french rom:
ROM version: 2.9.7.33 FRE
ROM date: 14/2/06
Radio version: 02.07.20
Protocol version: 413.1.03
ext ROM version: 2.9.7.116
Can i upgrade to this qtek WWE rom (RUU_Prophet_2090724_20907106_020720_QtekWWE_Ship)
without unlocking CID first?
Will the new ROM improve the camera function?

hi Gazous,
WWE is just... World Wide English ;-) instead of french you will have English.
CID is the vendor lock so you can't install other vendors roms, only roms from qtek in my case.
anyway still waiting for an answer....lol...thats ok i got plenty of time ;-)

Version V2.9.7.116 FR is available on www.smart-phones.be if your have a valid EMEI.
I've tried to install it but after 1%, my pc automatically shutdown.
After that, my QTEK didn't work.

Use NoVendorID reflashing utility and have a ROM of your choice... Search the forum for details...

Can I install a qtek WWE rom instead of a qtek french rom (my current rom) without unlocking CID or worring that my s200 will die on me?
After all, both roms come from qtek but since one is french version and the other is world wide english version...i'm afraid it will not be compatible...(plz dont tell me i'm a paranoid) lol

ok Walker, lets see if i understood correctly:
1. I have a s200 with a french rom, and i want to change to WWE rom.
2. I downloaded the NoVendorID rom version for the dopod, and extracted it.
3. Should i just run the ROmUpdateUtility and it will install the dopod rom?
4. If yes, what about CID unlocking?? will I be able to install other rom versions later on?

Don't hesitate to read the forum. All the answers are here...
Be sure, all the Prophets are sure identical in hardware. The only difference is the vendor ID and counry ID in the flash. You will newer damage your device, even running ROM for other vendor. My Qtek S200 now has Dopod 2.15 ROM. No problem! You can use WWE or FRA or RUS or CHT ROM and it will work. However, ROM utility won't reflash if it see the vendor is digfferent. One of the good gays has a bit fixed it to make it less strict.
If you afraid of wolves - never go to the forest. If you afraid of consequences - just do nothing forever. If you want to got WWE - just reflash with WWE ROM. Or go to the service and ask the guys to do it for you.
Try first the WWE ROM itself, if it fails with VendorID error - it's possible, run the same with NoVendorID utility. The only one thing to care about - the right ROM. If you try a ROM for 9100 - you will have a problem, but still recoverable, AFAIK. If you do something really stupid, your device becomes a pretty good black toy for kids, just like a real, but don't works ))))

How get orange setting back....

Hi there ! I noob here
i tried to unlock my SPV M3000 with lockiwiz... that didn't work ! it always finish by error "Can't copy file to the RRT"
I tried to install last QTEK 9100 french rom but it never work and finish by ERREUR [296] "modele not compliant".... so i test the last Mr Clean ROM... Update was fine !
But now, its impossible to install french orange rom again!
I read a lot on this forum and on other web site... and i understood that a problem from radio rom.... !?
I have find "ALL BACKUP ORANGE SPV M3000 FR BY [email protected]_$.ZIP" on your ftp. it contain all orange original file and EXT ROM, but how can i use it ? how copie it on phone ?

IF I am right:
It's not possible to downgrade again from any 2.xx roms to a 1.xx rom, if your device is CID unlocked with LokiWiz, BUT there are some threads that describe some workaround's.

After long search on some forums i found a solution :
first, I install the custom QTEK rom found at :
ftp://xda:[email protected]/Wizard/Roms/Qtek/CUSTOM__RUU_Wizard_1050412_WWE_101_11210_WWE.exe
then, i have cid unlocked my phone width lokiwiz2 (the 2b version seem doesnt work with this rom :/
Now, i'm able to install all rom from any vendors ! )
It is really cool !

Yeah I dont know, how many is Charmer ROMs, but I have made one In english (but with CZECH parts like total commander).
So, Anybody can edit extROM and Delete Czech files (cesky.cab, sym.txt) and than you can enjoy that ROM
It works on CID locked devices !!

doesnt have anybody problem with radio? sometimes is my phone freezed... during the incoming call

3. I have download this rom and when i try to install it the install program says that i have to change my upgrade tool to newest.
Is this can be a problem witch a CID lock or something?

Imate JAMin downgrade WM6 to WM5

HI,
I had spent lot of time searching for WM6 ROM for my imate ,while doing that I came across Qtek ROM namedas WM6 . After installing i came to know that it was a WM5 rom named as WM6. But i didnt gave up and after searching XDA i got actual WM6 rom and I uploaded it. The Version details of WM6 are :
ROM version 4.0.0.0 WWE
ROM Date 2/15/07
Radio Cersion 02.47.21
Protocol Version 4.1.13.24
Ext ROM version 4.0.0.0.3 PDAViet
But now i want to downgrade back to Imate WM5 original ROM. Kindly help me getting that done.

i have a JaMin 2 and i wasn't able to downgrade to the original I-mate Rom but u can downgrade to the NoID WM5 which is better than I-mate Rom

Thanks for such a quick reply. Also i would like to know what are the steps to be folowed whiles downgrading. I mean do i run NoID ROM first and then execute Enterbootloader.exe and then Romupdate utility for my G4. Kindly excuse if u find my questions silly, since i have not much knowledge into all this and i am only being concerned about my Imate.

I have the same problem...I cannot hear anything or any body can not hear me...But the thing is that the speaker does play the ringtone when sombody is calling me so the speaker is ok...PLz help..

i also face the same problem, my rom is WM6 fantastic b4, but after few times hard reset and soft reset and leave it for overnight all back to normal again... sometimes still cannot hear the caller voice.. i just soft reset again..... still no permanent solution yet...
one of the senior member suggested to re flash the ROM... but i'm still not sure how to do it

Spv M650 (orage) GPS no comunication with any software and utilities

Hi i have m650 with flash rom ENG wm5 (original FR wm5) but integrate GPS no comunication on any port. in iGO my way 2006 on port 4 with baud 57600 select in soft port 4 device waiting 10s but GPS no connect i try any port. When tested hard reset, return my device on original rom with FR or stay in ENG ??? sorry for my bad english

I'm user of SPV M650 (ARTE100) with Orange logo bought from Polish Orange.
I was playing with many rooms, once I decided to try the original from HTC - HTC_P3300_WWE_3.13.405.1_4.1.13.44_02.94.90_Ship_R.exe
I don't know when, probably after this room, I lost my GPS functionality.
I tried do the steps above and it's still not working ;(

I used Quick GPS and VisualGPS, The red diode is blinking in VisualGPS
The left amber/yellow diode is blinking, but I can't get any fix ( outdoor of course )
