How do I learn the ABC's of programming my HTC Shadow? It's my 1st. smartphone and I would like to personalize it to the max.

i have been working on a wiki guide for all things shadow over at allshadow.com...check it out and let me know if it helps...(the making your neo theme is up and very complete; for 6.1 is lacking. registry hacks section is full of ideas...) good luck.

I'm new here, and just Registered. I haven't yet familiarised myself with this forum so if I'm posting in the wrong section or double posting, I do apologise before-hand.
I'm wondering if anyone can possibly please help me- I'm in desperate need of a new skin or two for my HTC P4530 - I'm quite tired of the three Windows Mobile 6.0 Skins and the HTC Default skin!
Does anyone know where I could download or get some new skins? Even a way to customise and make/create my own?
Secondly with there being a vast amount of HTC wizards out there- I'm wondering if anyone knows if it's possible to customise and change the HTC Home Screen to that of the newer HTC Modules like the HTC TyTN II or HTC Touch with that new User Interface, is it possible- I really love the colour scheme and its look!
So if anyone can help me or point me in a step towards the right direction, I'd really apprectiate it! Hope to learn alot from browsing these forums!

Use the search feature in the menu bar (use the advanced option) and take a look at the WIKI.

I have been trying to pimp out my HTC touch dual but im a full on dummy. Can someone please explain a step by step guide explaining how to and the
meanings of terminology nessecary for the following. I have a HTC Touch dual(Nike/Niki100) and a video tutorial would be so much easier and clearer if anyones dares to make one . I am a beginner and would appreciate clear help/tutorial/insight.
1) I want upgrade my orange branded HTC touch dual to windows mobile 6.5....atm HTC will not let me upgrade to 6.1 from there website as it is an orange branded phone. (I dont like the orange customizations on my phone)
2)I would like that amazing new interface on my phone i think its called the Manilla 2D 2.0 its the one from the New HTC Touch2/Mega phone thats really colourful.
3) I would like to unlock my phone so i can put in a vodafone sim atm im using a turbo sim which temperorily unlocks my phone. i found this site... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=355730 but again all the language is confusing and i don't want to brick my phone!
4) I would like advice on the best software out there....
i.e. skyfire and opera instead of internet explorer.
Youtube application.
TCPMP with all the nessecary packs so it lets me play videos without sound errors etc.
Asphalt 4 which is amazing etc.
5) i want my HTC touch dual at its optimum ability, tweaks like making the touchscreen more sensitive, and to speed it up. I want people to have the best touch duals they possibly can. Hope someone makes a clear video tutorial on how to do this.

hi all, im a programmer well im working Atm in vb6 but i know .net, i really want help to the cominity, but maybe i didint search well or something but i dont find any "how to" to port manila 2.0 or 2.5 or something to any device, im personally use LG incite ct8110 and its wqvga, so any manuals or links? or the basis for porting wll be great so maybe i can help in some projects or maybe someone too with that manuals, well thanks for advice

I want to get a different theme for wm 6.5 but all the ones i have found are for windows mobile for touchscreen do any of you know where to get a non touchscreen theme?

its for the Excalibur but should work if you find some of the cabs listed. or take the time to follow the tutorials on how to make your own.

That may sound obvious, but make sure you look for qvga themes. Found tons of 'em by Google-searching "windows mobile themes qvga".
I've had the same problem as well finding themes for winmo 6.5 standard and 99% of them on xda forum are for touchscreens. the ones I did find require plugins that hog resources and kill battery life. I just want a good theme basic no plugins or anything. any help would be appreciated.

as i'm guessing, you should get a dump of a rom like mirolg's one,
and use something like resource hacker to change the icons in the mui dll's,
just like in windows for pc's,
