Text Message data location - 8525, TyTN, MDA Vario II, JasJam General

Hey folks,
I want to save the content of a few text messages that I have on my XDA Trion (aka TyTn / Hermes). Does anyone know where the actual data is stored?
I had a quick look and found a folder called Windows\Messaging which appears to have the contents of some (all?) of the emails that are sync-ed with my PC, as well as having a number of 0 byte files. But the text messages aren't there. So where are they!?
Cheers...

I didn't find out how/where the data is stored, but I did find a freebie application that creates a CSV file of the contents of the SMS folders. It does exactly what I needed. Get it here:

MMS restoration - .dat files

Hi
Is anyone familiar with the way the Wizard oraganises MMS messages?
Bsically, poksing through the registry I changes the MMS folder from the original 'My Documents/ContentsUA/MMS UA' to a storage card. I packed up the .dat files inside but now when I try and restsore them the messages are not there!
In the messaging application it displays the MMS header - the subject, the sender etc. but the MMS itself won't open. It looks like it tries for a second then reverts back to the summary screen. I am guessing that the MMS header info is stored in a different file and not the actually .dat files but I have no idea where this is!
Can anyone help!
Cheers

¿Sms folders?

His! ...
I restored the backup (contacts and sms), but the problem is that not all the sms has been restored, as have many sms in folders previously created a Touch PRO WM6.1.
I tried to edit the registry as previously HKLM / Software / Microsoft / Inbox and create KEY "OEM" and a DWORD value 1 SMSInboxThreadingDisabled, but I still do not see any option to create folders.
Does anyone know how to create new folders to save sms?
Thanks and regards
I wanted to create additional SMS folders, and get back sent SMS notifications.
I installed this and got them both back.
It changes the SMS back to the MS one instead of the HTC one.
Be aware that this stops you sending MMS messages though.
Cheers.

[GUIDE]My Text - SMS stored text messages

The SMS function for WM 6x is a Microsoft Inbox service. One useful feature is that it has a library of 10 stored text messages which you can customise and store on your phone.
The list of stored text messages can be viewed when you are in the view, reply or forward SMS context. The list will be shown when you tap on "My Text" from the SMS menu icon. There is an Edit function for you to customise your own messages for future use.
The problem faced by WM users is that when they hard-reset or flash a ROM, they will have to re-edit their stored text messages all over again this can be time-consuming. In this forum, there had been questions asked about the location of the stored text messages, but their queries were usually not responded to, or a vague answer answer was given.
The solution is to import the Registry settings after a hard-reset or flashing a ROM. The Registry settings:
Code:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\PresetMsgs]
"0"="Stored text #01"
"1"="Stored text #02"
"2"="Stored text #03"
"3"="Stored text #04"
"4"="Stored text #05"
"5"="Stored text #06"
"6"="Stored text #07"
"7"="Stored text #08"
"8"="Stored text #09"
"9"="Stored text #10"
Steps:
1. Cut and paste the text from the Code box and save it to a Registry file on your microSD, e.g., MSinbox.reg
2. Use any Text Editor to edit the values of the "Stored Text #01 through #10" to customise your own.
3. From now on, when you hard-reset or flash a ROM, you only need to import the Registry settings.
Use a File Explorer software
Navigate to the file location of the Registry file
Double-tap on the Registry file
Tap "Yes" to accept the import
4. There is no need to restart the cellphone - just terminate the SMS software and re-start. The SMS software will read the Registry each time it starts.
