Hi guys.
I've looked through all the clock threads and cannot find a clock that I'm happy with, mainly for 1 reason. I'm stubborn and know exactly what I want lol.
I really like the clock when it's small, like this...
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
What I really want though, is the bigger clock to look exactly like that, but bigger.
Can anyone help me out with this, either by calling me a numpty and pointing me at a clock that I've overlooked, or giving me the font (or just the name) that the small clock uses so I can make my own?
Cheers in advance guys.
John.
i totaly agree with you johncmolyneux!
This is the smallest clock around I think....

No, I think he doesn't mean that clock. What he is asking for is a clock exactly as the small one shown, but resized for a bigger one.

I am sure the font size would be in the manila files somewhere... Just no idea where to start and not enough spare time!

Nice! I hadn't thought of making the small one bigger! I was thinking of making (manila files for) a larger clock, that looks just like the smaller one.
I think that changing the files for the larger clock will give you too much space between the 2 numbers ...
But that depends on what size you want the clock to be ofcourse ...

That had crossed my mind. I am preferring the idea of making the small clock's font larger now, because you could then have a different clock for the standard large one, giving you two different styles at the flick of a finger!

Yeah and if we could find it - It would be a lot easier to edit at your leisure once we know how.
Okay, so I've found out that the font is Helvetica, and I'm just getting a copy of that. I'll try editing the manila files for the clock and see what it looks like, making the larger clock look the same as the smaller.
As previously mentioned, it may well not work, but it's worth a try.
ok... I found where to change the small clock size in 1c684cd8_manila...
But when u make it bigger it gets hidden under the Call History
I dont know if I can move that ... but I'll give it a try

Funnily enough, I was just looking at that manila file myself, but never having edited a manila file before, it was a bit overwhelming. I'll wait and see how you get on with that, whilst I try the big-clock-replacement method.
Nearly got it!!!
I've got a draft version working, with a couple of niggly problems. Here's what it currently looks like...
I need to reduce the colon slightly, as it's a tad too big, and I need to get the date and operator back in the top bar. I also need to change the "1" slightly as it looks great in the screenshot above, but doesn't look as nice when it comes after a number (as in 41).
Other than that, I've got some manila files ready to upload, but would really like to put them in a cab file. I'm happy enough editing the _setup.xml file manually to suit my changes, but don't know how to package a cab file. Could someone give me a hint on that please?
Nearly done

its nice to see someone who is willing to give it a go at
making what they want.
to many people on here now expect others to do the
work for them.
well done.
Cheers guys, but I've still got quite a way to go. Turns out I'd unwittingly shagged a couple of other things at the same time, and have had to do a lot of uninstalling & reinstalling to get things back to normal.
Anyways, I'm off for the weekend now, so I'll get back on this on Monday and, if I get anywhere with it, I'll post some results.
Cheers for the help & support, guys.

Agreed, I would love a clock like this!
Please upload if you have finished it
*Bump*
I also would like to make the "smaller" clock bigger. There is no borders around it so you can see the wallpaper better. I know there are other clear clocks out there, but I would like this also because as you can see I changed my TF3D font and the smaller clock matches the TF3D font. Thanks!
Oops sorry. Sprint HTC CDMA Touch Diamond. Stock ROM. Thanks.

Greetings,
Some of you already know this plugin! For those who don't, this is my "answer" to the non existent time on the titlebar of the most recent ROM's and the huge space wasted with the native Date (and Time) plugin!

I wish I knew how!!!
That's the whole point on this plugin: so far, nobody knows how to fix that...
Could you allow a font change, to reduce the height of the plugin? I know it's already small, but I'm missing 2 pixels for not having the scroll bar in landscape.
Thanks for your great plugin

The font size on my screen changes when I alter the size in Settings>>Screen>>Text Size, and shows the same font as the rest of the headings in the today screen - which to me makes sense.
When in landscape I found the scroll bar overlaps the clock on the right, so I added 1 space after HH:mm in the settings, and it looks fine.
Hehe, you are right. Sometimes, you are so used to seach for complicated solution that you don't think about the obvious
I guess this is less work for ei99070 but if he has already started, then it can be used for setting thinks more precisly, or change to bold or italic.
Otherwise, I've got the option I need. Thanks for pointing this out pewe

Love the plugin, thanks.
Can you make it so that when you tap on it, it can either do nothing or run a specific application? I never use the Clock applet except for setting the time. Thanks again!
THANX I'm really glad with your app! I works perfect on a Dutch QTEk ROM!

Version 0.1.2.0 released!!!
As requested, version 0.1.2.0 brings configurable font-size in options dialog!!
You can find it in the URL posted above!
Great job thanks !
Any way to have the same icon that original date plugin in front of the date at the left of the screen ?
I've installed this plugin, works well, 2 questions though:
If I have the time displaying as hh:mm:ss is it possible to get the seconds to count up rather than just changing every minute?
What characters do what when put in the settings, I figured out DD/MM/YY and hh:mm:ss, but what else does stuff?
Thanks again.
Sorry, 3 questions:
Can I get the time in 24hr time format?
Cheers
@ ei99070
Great, great job! I'm your fan, and an happy one .
Only a small detail. You just missed the caption for the font size ComboBox. Something like "Font Size [6..20]".
Were you saving space for the landscape mode?
There are other options, like:
- Make items closer.
- Decrease ComboBox width and put caption at its left.
- Use tabs, where one could be dedicated for the credits.
Off course everybody who's following the correspondent threads, knows what the ComboBox is for.

You're absolutely right!
I made the change this afternoon (only had time now!) and forgot that!!
I'm thinking for the next version on changing the dialog for something like tabs, in order to organize the settings better...
Hello ..
im thinking of an idea since i saw a program that changes the wallpaper every 1min.. or 2 hours.. etc..
on this thread - (background changer) i didnt try it yet : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=427463&highlight=wallpaper
well im thinking of an app to change a wallpaper for example like this :
this wall it will be at 12:00 pm
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
and this wall will be for example at night 10:00pm cuz its darker (well i didnt find a pic of a nighty day just to explain)
and different wallpaper of morning day at 5:00am or 6:00 or whatever i think you got the idea
and the user can edit the time and the wall that he likes to chose
waiting for your comments about my idea cuz i find it SO COOL to have a changing wallpaper at morning and at afternoon ..etc
Having different wallpaper load at different interval of the day is a very cool idea! I'll be following this thread!!
sounds like a great idea!

EDIT: forgot to say.... Great idea!
another idea is to have it change different (weather)wallpaper depending on the weather in weather tab??
now that would be cool!
If it rains, it would change the wallpaper to a nice rain wallpaper...
If its sunny, It will change to a nice sunny wallpaper...
and so on..
I don't know how many different variations of weather there is in the weather tab or how you can gain access to them...
and you could have custom wallpapers...
like naming the images in a folder...
rainy.png
partly cloudy.png
sunny.png
and so on...
EDIT: Why not suggest to the developer of the changing wallpaper app these functions... maybe he can implement these in his app?
really good idea
Thats a good idea in my opinion too. There are phones with this option (don't know which ones) but they stopped making phones with that software. Don't know why cause i liked it.
Hope it'll be possible soon!

It's the Samsung D900 which uses this kind of software. This model switched from a sunny background to a night background at a specified time. I even think it had a specific background theme for the country you were in: windmills in Holland etc. etc.
I used that phone untill I found out it isn't very water-resistant... But I can't imagine that this feature isn't possible on the Diamond. Hope someone can fix this!
this is how the wallpaper changes in Samsung D900

thats awesome.
i was thinking about something like some times ago...
there is a program "ShantzTodayChanger 1.52" doing so...
you manually put the photos to different folders say 2 folders Afternoon and Night and the program will pick the pictures in these folders according to the time. Programming wise this should be the most simple and easy way to do it
i could probably write a mortscript to do this....i think the best way to do it like that would be to have set intervals and name the pics accordingly...ex 10am.jpg 12pm.jpg 5pm.jpg...and so on....altho sinc ei just noticed that this is in the diamond forum i could not test this since i don't have one...gotta pay more attention when i check out new posts...i could still give it a go...where is the wallpaper info kept...reg entrie or a set file in the \windows directory? with this info i feel i could do it and have you guys test it.

I agree It's not that's its hard to change wallpapers... It's just a fun thing to have it changed by itself...

i loved how u did the UI its awesome !! briliant idea ..
i would have this app on my diamond .. aslo would it be better if we chose one view of sun rise and the sun moves as the sepecified time ?? or even to change its own color by photo shop with filters.. cuz it cant be noticed if it changed to different view and place and "Different Wallpaper" to define that .. it will be like only a wallpaper .. like what u did in the swason wallpapers .. same house and view .. different colors and weatherbase
i hope some1 will do that for us .. i think its easy as Grondinm says
its a beautiful idea .. nd i think its easy to be done .. why theres no support ?

Hi there, thanks for this. The graphics looks really ace. Just one question though. I have it installed and it seems as though it is the big icons that are in the back ground and when the slider moves over them they get smaller (I thought the purpose of the slider was to zoom in on the icons). Thought I would point this out incase it was unintentional. Or it could be something on my phone doing the wrong thing.

I think that is how it works too...not sure...on the other tabs like in contacts they seem to stay the same size.
I used HDWall to create it and all the images were the same size for both large and small icons and just had HDwall resize it.
I thought the icons stayed the same size and the large ones appeared in the middle of the screen. It is hard to see the tab with your finger on them when you are sliding so I am guessing the larger ones are suppose to be in middle of screen.
Will look into it though.
thank you very much, good input

i say easier and more effective because its a quick upload from device and or pc to the site..and the image is hosted FOREVER..like ive never seen an image no longer available at tiny pic..i posted stuff a couple of years back on here and still u can see the image..lol
to upload pics here on xda :
when replying or posting a comment click on the image button in the taskbar of the comment box and follow the onscreen instructions. its actually quite easy once u figure it out.
I haven't done a lot of modifying. I removed a lot of unnecessary panels, reordered the rest, and changed the titanium panel with a design by roloracer and his program.
While I like the transparent top bar, I find the solid black lower bar less distracting when using other programs. I also like the simple white phone icons over roloracers colored ones.
The wallpaper came from the thread in excalibur.
I'd like to change the titanium font to Segoe or maybe Opera. I'd also like to change the clock icon to something more antique. It would be awesome if the clock could reflect the time on the panel instead of being static.
how did you change the color of the panel? did you use Titanium File Changing ?

O_O WANT.
So now that we've got snap and ozone releases, will the new features be added about the same time?
A bit plain yet unique...
Hi All,
Sorry if this is n00bish question...
I had EnergyROM 2.1 standard installed and loved all the customisations, but pretty much hate TouchFlo so when the new version of 6.5 came out i reflashed but this time with the Titanium edition.
However the Titanium isn't just without touchflo, it also doesn't have the cool icons as the standard version, which means no 1 percentage battery and no nice graphics.
Even worse the titanium extraction isn't totally white icons, there was the fancy one for the speaker left over but the rest monogram white black, so had to install the stock white icons cab to get consistency.
Anyway, can anybody tell me:
How can I install the icons as found on the top taskbar of EnergyRom Standard?
How can I have the percentage of battery being displayed?
Many thanks is advance.
I'd like to know this too. I'm using SPB Mobile Shell so have no need to TouchFlo, but I do miss those icons!
Shell does have a battery widget that shows me the level to 1% accuracy (assuming is it actually accurate, but that's another topic!), but I'd definitely like the USB/Sync/WiFi/GPRS/HSPDA/Bluetooth icons to match the volume one, which looks out of place now!
I was also hoping that using the Titanium version would fix my problem with broken Contacts links in the phone dialer, but it doesn't. I think this issue is more down to SPB than the ROM though.
these links are what you seek:
colour icons - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=520132
1% battery increments - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=527006
We were all newbies once, but just remember that a simple search on google will most often find what you want!
Indeed it will.
I did try searching, honest, i just wasn't sure what the exact terminology was for these icons and wasnt returning anything. Edit: Turns out I was searching within rhodium when these are general icons. My bad.
Part of the reason this forum is so great is that you don't get shouted at, even if you do make a n00bish post. To return the favour I now find myself helping out those with even less knowledge than me for the simple things that I know how to do.
Thank you vert much for your information however these arn't the icons i seek.
Need em like this:

yea thats cool no worries glad 2 help, I often use google and would search something like "colour taskbar icons WVGA". WHich reminds me this site has some good ones too: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=54514
These cabs to install a new set of colour icons are great however you may find you like some of the icons from one cab more than others and so may want the speaker icon from one mixed with the bluetooth icon from another. It is possible to replace these icons (which are just .dll system files located in the Windows directory). The link I provided has a lot of info on how to do this...

Perhaps if you ask nicely on his thread of the forum he may prepare a cab for you to install those icons
great tip, didnt realise they were only dll's. That's gonna make it easy for me to customise.
do you know where i can find those EnergyROM icons as mentioned above though?
ask in his thread m8y and someone may create a cab for you
lol, yeah sorry will do pal.
Seems like our conversation became a little disjointed after I edited a thread.
I got what you were saying. Cheers for all your help.
Seems theres another guy in the same position too so should help highlight the issue (don't want to bother or annoy the Chef though as He does a fantastic job).
I'm not 100% sure, but I believe this is the one:
Brain's Taskbar WM6.5
Look to see what are the files that topbar icons use.
Then flash energyROM and rip off the files from the ROM...
not quite but they certainly are a good stopgap until I locate the real deal. I actually quite like these though
It's the numerical battery which is impotant, which these have.
Bizarrely it's the speaker from this pack which appears to be embedded into the Titanium version of the EnergyRom, must have just been a bit of a sloppy build.
Thanks.
Is there a cab for a transparent taskbar? I've tried everything and none seem to work.

How would I go about ripping the taskbar icons out? I have Energy Rom installed on my Rhodium, but i want these task bar icons, primarily for the 6 signal bars: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=570186
I have a TP1 to flash this ROM to and rip it off as you say. Please let me know how! If I have to dump the ROM please tell me how to create as a .cab file and I will share it.
It is most likely the tsowen custom taskbar. Search for my previous posts--I've uploaded them twice.

This is my favorite custom icon set, although currently I am using the default white icons that came with the leaked TMO ROM.
