Suddenly out of the blue my Touch-Cruise decided it does not find the uSIM card anymore.
tried anything i could think of:
tried the uSIM on another phone - ok
tried another uSIM on my Touch-Cruise - no SIM was found.
tried reflashing the ROMs (original ROMs - WM6 and afterwards the WM6.1 versions) --> nothing still not SIM is found
Has anyone else ever encoutered such a problem - it just happend with NO apparent reason one second it seems find the next i suddenly see the the device shows NO-SIM.
Please if anyone has any idea.......
hi i'm no expert but it sounds bolloxed if it's under warrenty flash back using offical ROM and send for repair

I have an XDA II that will not boot, simply shows "Serial, v 1.06". Went through various processes to get this far, and strangely I still get country ID errors when i try to load another version of windows mobile on it. can anyone help?
I had a simular problem with my IIi untill i removed the sim card and tried to updat without it installed, it worked for me, hope this might help.

I unfortunately did it in the first place without a SIM card installed... anyone else have any ideas?

Been playing around and tried a few roms but after Polaris ROM: udK 8.0 Vega R1 it wont recognise the sim card.
Any ideas?
Is the sim realy in place?? check it again... not the roms fault foresure, never heard of this kind of problem
Well thats what i thought, and i can still flash the phone to anything i like so definitly not screwed up the roms.
Just double checked and still says No Sim

Yup! tried another rom still the same problem, Originally i had bepes rom but this morning i tried to make a phone call and the ear speaker was dead couldn't hear anything so i tried the external speaker and this worked fine.
I thought be re-flashing or trying a different rom might solve this and now im left with "No Sim" message.
Maybe the phone is faulty?
or sim card fault? can you tried with another sim-card.. just a thought,
I don't have another sim but it does work in my old sony K800i with no problems.

So the SIM is ok as it works in another phone.
You have flashed twice so not the ROM . Hate to say it but I would flash back to original ROM and re SPL and get it back for exchange repair

Left the battery out for a few days and it can now read the sim!
Still got no audio from ear speaker guess its gotta go back

I bought a 2th hand MDA pro in working order. I used it for a day or 2 when a problem appeared in the form of a Missing simcard message, out of nothing. I took the simcard out cleaned it and put it back in and it worked again, a few hours later the same error showed I cleaned the sim again booted up the phone and error was still there this went on for 4 times before I got it working again.
I started to search forums about this problem en stumbled upon a few suggesting that the sim holder was flacky and a piece of paper between the battery and card would work.
I did this and on first it looked like it was fixed because it ran for a day before it got back.
By now I changed the simcard -no success- I flashed the phone with 4 different roms including the original one - no success-
I'm running out of ideas with this does anyone had the same problem or are there any suggestions of what it might be?
Please help!

I have had this error before, but usually as a result of a build incompatability. I would suggest you try 2 things. re flash the radio to a different version 1.15 or 1.18 & try using Tomal's 8.2 ROM. Also try a SIM card (borrow one from a friend)from another service provider.

I have the radio 1.18 and TOmala's rom 8,7 and 8.5 and 8.2.
Sim card is still missing.?

I know this is a really annoying problem, I had it with my Nokia E61 before (and still). After a week of sim registration failures, I decided to switch to another phone, (universal). I didn't got any solutions really, one is force the phone into gsm only, and uncheck confirm smscheck if possible.

Hi, I searched forum but haven't found any solution, recently I had repaired my Artemis and got new motherboard so to get rid of crappy orange software I wanted to change rom, after successful USPL and replacing rom with wm 6.1 (tried 5 by now) I unlocked the phone as it was on forum, tried 4 different sim card's, and still no luck "unknown or missing sim card". Any help greatly appreciated.

How, where and how much have you paid it cause I need one too and I'm from Malta....
As for the no sim problem..I think you should try to restore it to factory rom
on the first place, and if it doesn't help, you have to go to IMEI unlock it...
I think it is roughly 20-30 GBP....and you can do it on line.

Hi everyone, i hope i'll find an answer cause i can't understand what's going on with my HD2 !
So, my hd2 keep losing signal, at first i taught it was a radio related thing, so i flashed a 2.12 radio (was on 2.15.40), but the problem is still there. So i decided to change the rom, cause the problem showed up after i installed a android sense rom (this one) i installed i miui stable rom, and still have it.
Here, i decided that the problem maybe came from my sim card so tried my wife's sim card (same operator) and another sim card (different operator) and it worked just fine, no losing signal at all.
So I've changed my sim card with a new one and the problem still occurs!!!!
Decided to flash a windows phone 7 rom, (just to be sure) and problem still there.
I can't understand what's wrong, i have this problem just with my sim card !!! any help please
Try flashing a stock Windows Mobile ROM and see if you still have the problem.

Hi there,
I have a dual boot system with stock WM6.5 and SD android.
When using the android OS i notice that the signal bars sometimes are lower than when using WM and i even get no bars at all.
I dont know if your problem has the same cause as mine, but try to flash the stock rom and check.
Worth a shot.

no my problem is a bit different. cause my sim card don't lose's signal on my phone. but work well on other phones. on the other hand, other sim card's work's well on my phone. So i have the problem with my sim card in my phone!!! that's what's driving me crazy.
By the way flashed a stock rom but it didn't solve my problem
