Windows Live Messenger Mobile..Again!!!

Well...Windows Live Messenger ...what else?!
I get so many emails and PMs and ICQ pagers...wow.
Slow down people, i like to be popular, but this is like program paparrazzi.
Just kidding.
I decided to host the file so you can grab it online. Otherwise i cannot cope with all the requests.
Its both for WM and Smartphone devices. (as far i know, dont have SPh)

Man what a pile of rubbish!
Very large for a PPC app, uses up most of your Today screen, didn't work properly on my Hermes (messenger would never close - soft reset). There was no problem with the installation on a clean device.
I uninstalled it and have got 'Windows Live:33 Unread' messages, stuck on my Today screen. The account is gone but it hasn't cleared it from the Today screen. Tried everything short of hard reset.
Just use the Web version - nothing on your device!

Yepp...i agree...gloggs up your system. I find my hermes slow enough and not responsive as it is.
I had this running 2 times (first time was messed up)on my device, but didnt like it. A pure messenger version without all the live crap is much more useful.
But hey, we dont have to be available in any IM program ALL the time.
I end up with people asking me "i tried to reach you! where were you?" if i choose not to be on or have me phone switched off.
I remember the good old times, where, when someone didnt pick up the phone, he wasnt available and it was ok. Ahhh...so peaceful.

Can you send it to me at [email protected]? cause i'm looking after the cab of the windows live messenger (the beta was avaible on connect.ms... but i never got answers) for mobile since beginning of december but ... nothing

If this is not what you are looking for, or the zip doesnt contain the version you need, i cant help you. The other, older versions, i deleted.
My ppc software folder is like 5GB big...so i dont want to keep older versions.

Ameo help! wm6, screen resolution

Hey, im a brand new ameo user but have previously had many windows mobiles.
Firstly can i get wm6 on it? whats the difference? is it dodgy?
Also I want to change the screen resolution on it to make it alot smaller, is there a program other than vga.zip as i find that does nothing but crash, is there another?

May be worth asking away about windows mobile 6 on here. I havent had the courage to upgrade to it yet, but alot of people have, so i would recommend reading the posts here.
Also having VGA mode that seems to work, i used MvRTrueVGA_v1.3
which can be found here:

Or try searching using the SEARCH function and select advance, and then put in TrueVGA choose to search the ATHENA forums only and a few options will appear.

Hey, thanks alot for that, I tried the wm6 update and tried it, its prepared, the % came up then stopped and told me
The update utility cannot be used on your pda phone. please check your update utility. Im using activesync 4.5 and my phone is uk t-mobile ameo.
There is now no software on my phone and i cannot use it?
please can someone help even to get it back to how it was?

m600 SPV wm6 update

Hi, this is my first post, so I'll keep it short and sweet, a lot f people seem to be having a problem updating there m600's to wm6, I had the same issue and thought I bricked my phone, thanks to this site I was able to get a wm5 rom that worked but still struggling to find an english rom of WM6 that will work on my g4, alot of the links in the threads are now dead so can anyone send me a working link to a rom that they think will work, if they have and want to send it in an email or something the rom I will be happy to seed via bittorrent as I know the owners are getting a lot of hassle from microsoft,

I was searching for them, but I just read through the forum an got one im now using Fantastic Mobiz v2.0b4 but I cant get sms to work done a hard reset a few times n still nothing, checked the message centre number n thats fine, dont really know why it dosnt work recieves messages but dosnt send and I can phone people too, any clues or should I try another rom? if so what do you think is the best to use I heard PDAVIET Roms v4.0.0.0.5 was the best but the link to tom-love.net dosnt work from my machine or at work

Try one of the newer roms... Crystal V4 is working out well for me, I also tried Mysterious 1.0 and liked it, Prophet Touch IX is also new and looks good though I haven't tried it yet

So many questions

Im sorry but this may be a long post and I dont even know if it goes here..
I had a wing about 1 year ago and i sold it because i had no idea that this web site even here and i had no idea how to use it. I mainly got rid of it because it was really slow and the touch screen you had to use that stylus. Now that I found this website I want to get the wing again. I have been reading and reading for like the past week and i read the guides and for some reason I still dont understand how to flash new roms and everything. so im wondering if someone would be willing to help me step by step over aim or something when i get my wing sometime with in the next week.
also i see a lot of people are having problems with the wing with applications not working and sms and mms and all other things not working and all that.. is that something that happens when you flash a new rom or what is the cause?
also is there a facebook or myspace application i can put on my wing? i am addicted to facebook and myspace..
also if a new rom is flashed would i still be able to download applications from other websites like handago and they will still work with the rom?
I think thats all the questions that i have.. if i have more i will post something else. Thanks in advance for the responses that i may get! everything is appreciated.

havent run into an app that is solely for for those but i use opera mini its free and works wonderful for other web pages as well

yep the chef who cooks the roms here do not lock installations on aps

so any rom that i put on there i can put any applications on there that i want also?
also for the touch roms does it make it easier to use your finger? i remember when i had the wing before i always had to use the stylus.. anyone out there willing to help me when i get my wing to flash the roms..
I wish that there were more pictures on here of the roms so i will know what i am flashing.

that is a question of the interface usually u will still have to use the stylus but some of the roms UI are finger friendly

i got a Question um with cooked rom for the tmobile wing have a working myfave bc i flashed the manilla rom and i cant get myface tab to work

if i remember manilla will not work with the fav 5 today icon since it doesnt support them

Newbie that needs some help...

Hi all, please forgive me as im guessing this question has probably been asked a few times...
I've had my HTC Magic/Sapphire (It's a 32B, Google version of the magic) for a few months now and im quite keen on playing around with some new Roms. So i set my mind on doing one and started reading the wiki on hacking and read I need to be able to sync with my pc.
Here lies the problem, ive downloaded and installed the latest version on HTC Sync and its newest driver updates, I plug my phone in and i understand that theeres supposed to be a sync option in the drag down notifications on the magic...I dont see this option on my phone anywhere?! Or if there isnt a workaround, where do i go from here?
Can anyone help as im really keen on getting a new rom on my phone!
