i want to know if i buy the mobile phone can i install chinese simplified rom
its possible or not ?
Because i buy this in 1 week and i need more information about the installation
the mobile phone its for my dad birthday and i need the instruction to install this i know on other site www i found the chinese rom but its in chinese language and i dont understand
can you explain to me the instruction about this and the url for chinese simplified rom

Hi,
As long as, you unlock the Touch, you can flash it with the rom you want (for the model you own, of course). I think you can find a chinese rom.

I accedently bought a P3300 with swedish language when I need it in english. Can I make some upgrade or anything to get it in english? Maybe just a rom upgrade, and where do I find these roms?

Of course you can change to english when you're flashing to another rom - there are a lot of different ROMs here (cooked/modified or shipped ones)...
The only thing you'll have to do before upgrading is installing USPL, otherwise you'll brick your phone....
just read the wiki pages, there you'll find all informations you're searching for

That's not necessarily "the only thing" you'll have to do. When I changed the language of my wife's phone from English to Finnish, I also needed to tweak the country code of the WM6 software ("original HTC"). So I opened the RUU file in WinHexEdit, wrote down the country code of English WM6 and after that I opened the RUU file of Finnish WM6 software. I changed the country code to an English one (needed to change 6 hex digits), saved it and after that I just launched the EXE file of Finnish WM6. Worked.
Well, changing the Swedish language to English one may be easier since there are lots of tweaked ROMs around but if you'd do it other way round (English->Swedish), you'd definitely have to tweak the country code of Swedish ROM since there aren't any tweaked Swedish ROMs available, are there?
Now I just wish that someone could tell me how to tweak the country code of HTC Home program???

the only thing u can change is the XT9 dictionary and the regional setting.

and with what kind of programs I can flash the mobile?
Before this smartphone, I had a sony K750i and with that wasn't difficult unlocking the phone and flashing filesystem and main, but with this Niki and windows OS I'm a little be lost.
Is there any tutorial or thread which explain the basic of NIKI?

Now i would like to uprade the new rom to change the language, i have downloaded, the rom is RUU_Photon_HTC_Europe_1.36.401.1_Radio_Signed_32.2803.05.06_0.63.05.36_Ship.exe.
Now what should I do next? Just run the .exe file and follow it? Or I must SSPL or unlock the phone or sth? Because some friend told me that my phone could broken if i upgrade to a new rom? Is that true? When do I need to use SSPL?
I only want to change the display language.
Sorry for my stupid question but I'm still new in WM!

Hello! As you can see I'm a noob (like complete noob when it comes to HTC or Windows Mobile). A friend got a Touch Cruise T4242 and it has Greek Language. Is there a way to put English or Romanian (I doubt it, but English will be excellent) language?
I couldn't find related threads (just one from 2010 in which someone asked for a Spanish Rom and was adviced to search htcpedia.com for it, but I didn't manage to find anything there - or maybe I'm just dumb and don't know my way around there).
By the way, best way of greeting new members - that video is awesome ('tough i'm not really a noob in foruming).
