Anyone else having trouble connecting? It says I'm logged in but it only shows a few contacts and says they're offline. And messages that people send me aren't coming through.

I recently tried im+ and every time i try to log into AIM with it. The AIM icon turns green. A scroll bar apears at the right of the screen and shrinks as if there is a lenghening list being formed. Then the wizard locks up and hangs for a few minutes. Then the scroll bar looks as if the list is shrinking very quickly and IM+ just disconnects completely for a minute before starting to connect on its own again. In fact it did it so many times that i was banned from aim for an hour. Has anyone else had this problem. And do you have a way to stop it?
thanks
I have not been able to get AIM to work reliably with any of the Pocket PC apps I have tried, and also end up getting banned when it fails to fully connect over and over.
What HAS worked well for me, is to log in with my Google Talk account and import AIM contacts into it. I am doing this with IM+ and it works well, except for a crash now and then I think might be IM+.
You can get instructions on how to import contacts from other services into Google Talk here: http://www.bigblueball.com/forums/google-talk-news/33739-connect-google-talk-aim-msn-yahoo.html
I'll have to look into the google talk thing.
Whats weird is that im+ seems to not like either of my screenames. I've let a few of my friends log into aim and they dont have any problems at all. Its just my screenames that cause problems. I dont get it.
Well i got it working. And all i did was install and uninstall it 5 times and it finally works. That same aproach has worked for other programs as well. funny how that works. funny and annoying...
Anyone else experiencing the following issues:
1. When attempting to download a Market app, error message states the download was unsuccessful and try again.
2. GMail doesn't appear to be synching - have to manually refresh to check for mail. Read messages are not synched to web-based Gmail app (they will still show as unread).
For me, this all started yesterday evening.
Thanks - P
same here, Also I cant use Gtalk either on mobile, gmail, windows, linux, gtalk, pidgin... anything :S! Maybe something is ****ed up with our G accounts.
Having the same problem
From the plethora of posts on Google's Android Market support forum, it appears limited to certain accounts, albeit an issue on Google's end. Sure hope it's addressed soon.
To log the issue with google post here
It would seem that they have acknowledged the issue and are looking into it - Talk, Market and Gmail sync all don't work since 4/22/10
Looks like it working again.
I unistalled the market app and then reinstalled it, shortly after it started working again woo hoo
Searched but couldn't find anything.
I'm having some issues with Google Talk Client. I show logged in but to my contacts I'm logged off. I am also unable to get messages sent to me.
APN settings are right.
Anyone here having the same problems?

I have the same problem.. Did you found any solution?
Have you guys tried changing your status on the phone? (Tap your name at the top screen and change it to away or something to see if that helps.)
If you log in to GTalk via gmail on the web on your laptop, do you have the same issue? (this will help show if it's a phone problem, or a GTalk in general problem)
I have this same problem, I just noticed it today becuase i was signed in to gtalk and instead of a chat notification i have an email notification because the chat was emailed to me. Hmm... I hope we get a resolution soon..
I just installed gtalk on my wife's iP4,and it turned out that could receive message from my gtalk on atrix, but mine could not receive any message from the iP4. Can someone help me?
Yeah, you should give her your google account username
I've given her my account name, and nothing's wrong with that account name.
Honestly I would drop gtalk and try pingchat. My wife has a BB and when we tried to use gtalk a month ago sometimes we would send messages that the other person never received. It caused some headaches (I missed a message with the grocery list). With pingchat there's the sent/received confirmation indicators. Gtalk does not have it.
check any computers that you have google logged into. I've noticed that if i start replying on a computer, messages stop going to my phone. But the first message always makes it to all devices.
Quite simple, Google Talk uses an other implementation on android devices (variant of XMPP). Therefore, you should be able to communicate with Google Talk to/from your phone to/from a browser, but when using other Google Talk clients that rely on pure XMPP protocol, it doesn't work.
So as said before, use an other IM then the default Google Talk.

I noticed this too, however I still do not receive messages sometimes even when I log off google on my computer.
thx guys i really appreciate ur help. now i just change to IM+. and u know these days it's hard to use google service in china, it sux really.
the most weird part was, when i started to use another computer client to send a message, my gtalk on phone can receive that message. but when i came back to GTalkPlus on the iP4, it failed. so ,it's all about the iP4 client?
We saw the same behavior on my Atrix and my wife's BB 9000, so it's not just IP4.
how do I get rid of an account that is synced on google so that I can change the google talk to a different account. I have both accounts on the gmail and it works fine but it crashes whenever I go to account settings which is where I think the solution might lie if I could just open it. I tried to uninstall google talk but it failed, otherwise I would have deleted it and reinstalled it. Is there an easy fix for this. Right now I am getting one directional conversations from people talking to my partner, its very frusterating. thanks so much for the help yall.. one day I might just ask a worthy question.
