new to the forum and i have a couple of questions
1) Does anyone know how to configure rules - for free - in the pocket outlook on WM5?
2) The o2 UI is starting to grate on me now and i want to remove it in favour of a NORMAL today screen. can this be done?

I remove all o2 software when the machine is hard reset. You go through the usual cut/paste appointment, set time, password. Then you get 'tap screen to continue' after this you get a message which says something like ' 3 seconds until reconfigure ' ( i can't remember the message ). Within this 3 seconds BEFORE the o2 cr*p loads simply soft reset. easy. You get basic wm5.0 with no o2 bloat.
I find it really helps with general speed and especially screen rotate when pulling out the keyboard.
You will then need to set up gprs/mms settings yourself UNLESS someone knows which .cab file holds this info in the extended rom area...;-) I've tried them all - no luck.
Many thanks for that- i had a search around and found that if i remove the O2 things from \windows\startup then softreset i can uninstall the o2active rubbish and keep my settings. The speed difference is fantastic!!!
I've also installed an application called switch which has a tiny footprint and is brilliant for closing apps.
Still searching around for how to use outlook rules though
Also can anyone recommend a "desktop" style application (for free) so i can have a shortcuts tab in my today view?

can you please post the cab file that creates the o2 active ui? it is located in your extended rom! why i am asking? it is not there in the german version of the xda mini s....

forgive me how would i do that?
if i where you i would install the extended rom unlocker (here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=33680), then copy the files you find in that folder to sd card, zip the o2 active ui cab and attach it here
after thet delete the extended rom unlocker tool on your device and everything is like it was before.

I have the attachment if someone wants to host it, send me their email address. Its all the cab files etc out of the rom.
best you can do is uploading it to rapidshare - http://rapidshare.de/ - "durchsuchen" (means browse), upload and then post the link to it here.
also there is an ftp server from xda-developers: ftp://xda:[email protected]
use the upload folder!

it's of course the uk file. if you need german - let me know. but the active ui isn't in the german rom, thats why i've asked here for it. unfortunately it is not visuable after installation - i am evaluating at the moment, what the problem is.

I downloaded it (through a proxy) and tried to upload to the ftp of this site, but it says 'Pesmission Denied'. Sorry

Could someone post or direct me to 2 cab files I am looking for?
I am looking for a cab for todayagenda
and a cab for a working MMS program.
I am currently running the latest version of touch it but am unable to get any mms messages, it appears that i can send but cannot receive

Thanks, Porto777. I ran the same search & was directed to the author's website, which was closed. But after searching through the garbage, I found it as well.
If your MMS isn't working after you flashed a new rom, most likely you haven't setup the mms settings in the phone. Search for a cab called KAISER NETWORK WIZARD and install and run for your specific carrier.

I'm a proud owner of a new HTC Touch HD.. unfortunately here in italy the only version is branded TIM... so actually there's not installed Windows Live Messenger
Is anybody able to give me a cab through which install it? Or a .zip with all WLM files inside the windows directory? (is it enough to have WLM on my HD?)

if you cant find the cab file for MSN messenger, just install a new rom for it

when i go to the opera website it tells me that my phone is not recognized.

Did you check the developer? As far as I know, it hasn't be made yet. I have a old version from my Wing days as it sucks.
Yes it has been made, it is on the Pure I am not so sure about the tilt though.

Try dumping the stock PURE ROM. Then create a cab from the dump. Search for QuickCab to create cab files.
The tilt2 does have it on the stock rom
So does anyone have a cab of it? im on a mac and am not able to use bootcamp
