Phone Skin

Hi all,
It's freezing in London, UK! Anyways...
I hate the o2 phone skin I am stuck with, I noticed once before after a hard reset there was a much nicer skin - im guessing it was the default WM5 skin...I know it was blue... Well - I want it back ..
So today's question from me..
How do I change my phone skin.. WITHOUT HARD RESET..

here u go...speeded up my exec..and actually prefer the simple default skin anyway..use resco or any other registry editor
To set or remove the operator phone skin
The setting is at 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Phone\Skin'
The 'Enabled' DWORD value can be set to '1' to show the operator skin or '0' to show the default skin

The problem with method is that you lose the button for video calls. Is there a way around it?

the button on the keyboard? Does that work?

look for the post called "a collection of hacks" or something on those lines. I remember seeing a cab to change the phone skin...

I tried the buttons and I cannot get video calls with the default phone skin (as explained above).

the most interesting about it actually is that it will give you 10 Megs of RAM...if you can live without the videocalling.

My videocalling button appears to work. :?

How exactly do you get that extra space?? Does it require a hard reset or can you delete the extra files? If the latter which are the correct files to delete?

Change X Button Icon

it´s possible to change the X Button with ne other icon?
Maybe better for Finger?

I would like to make it more wide for finger to klick better.

hihihi, i think you may have PROBLEM with that idea..., as you need to edit core dll's, and file may be broken anyway by reshacker/restorator...
i.e. - i am trying to change start menu m$ icon, although it seems to be possible, still no idea, what is wrong with file i am getting after resource exchange(menu(!) icons are changed, gfxes messed up despite of only 1 bitmap change)....
need help with it...
as far i remember file which is keeping many of sys gfx is coredll.dll.0409.mui, or coreres.dll.0409.mui.
"close image" may be there too.
every system image may be changed; although some dlls AREN'T accesible with restorator/reshacker.. ;/
i think you may try to use wisbar advance - it is HEAVY program ,but you may draw light wise skin for x-button(and other icons on taskbar) for it(button may be wider)...this is only thing i could recommend(...but not on omap cpu's lol)...
best effects on wm03 i had with icbar:
(sry i had gif for what i am talkin' about)
you rather cannot make taskbar taller, so wider buttons may be what you need...

Hi,
You may want to look at BatteryStatus plugin as one of the feature is to change the X button size.
- added: DWORD CloseButtonWidth ( create this registry-value and set it to 60 will span the [x]-button over the clock for a finger friendly handling ) 2Pe_�a@Nw

This doesn´t work for me, dunno why Every other registry change works but this one not. I downloaded and installed the version from pxdxa.com and it should be build 0236, but when you install it, it shows build only 0235!
Full version name sounds: Ver. 1.04.203 beta4 Build 0235
Any suggestions?

Sorry, no idea, can't help further as I use "Ok" button to close program so I don't use this plugin.

Hide today screen softkeys

Hi Guys,
Im looking for an ez to use app that would allow me to hide the bottom softkeys on the today screen but keep them active without having to do reg tweaks. I've searched high and low but no luck. Thanks.

yes there is i have included it as attachment download it and then copy it to \Windows\startup folder this if u want that it should start automatically after a softreset if u don't want that then just copy it to Program folders and execute it from there thie soft key will disappear but reappear if u open file explorer or any other prograam but it will disappear once u are in today secreen !!!

I used the dcinobar and really like it. I would like to get rid of the system tray as well, but do not want to use kaiser tweak to do so. when i used that i killed me twice!. Is there any other way to do that?

U can use PHM traylaunch there u can see all the icons that are in traylaunch u can delete or all of them and tray will disappear or u can also try the tray display cab it is a prograam that will ask to display tray or NOT !! feel free to try try first PHM tray display and then the cab see which one is the best.

Hi. it's not workin in wm 6.5, it just hide the softkey text, not the whole bar, any solution?

Both noDciBar and PMC TodayShrink aren't working... They'll work when they want and start when they want. Are there any others?

Yea this! I've tried Dci, PMC Today Shrink and nueNoBar(Nue worked for a few days then stopped) anybody got any idea's? I just want the bottom row gone only on the today screen, other apps are okay to show the bottom keys.

I'd like to ask if anyone knows how to change the default programs that our WM6 uses for rubrica, sms..and so on. I'd like for example to set Sms-Chat and Funcontact as the default SMS and rubrica softwares that I can open with the buttons of the Samsung Today 2 plug-in.
Any registry key to change? Any software that can manage this "preferences"?

Try Spb Plus, it should do what you need and there is many more that has this as a possibility, anything installed can be tagged with plug in, Also the applications you stated should had changed to default once installed. Should also be able to do it with changing anything.

How to set iContact on TF3D-Peoples-Tab´s left key

Hey guys,
I want to set the left shortkey at the TF3D-Peoples-Tab to start iContact. Is there a registrykey to modify this?
At the moment, i have to go to the dailer to start iContact

Have you managed to get iContact to work okay as I have found the text to be far too small to be useable.

But at this regkey, you can only modify the shortkeys at the TF3D-Homescreen
I want to modify the left shortkey only at the Peoples-Tab. At the moment the is a shortcut to the "normal" WiMo-Contacts-App

Apologies. Now I have read what you want, I also want that!! I found a .cab file icontact v0.5 which was supposed to replace the registry entries to launch iContact but that hasn't worked on the HD and it appears that the registry layout is slightly different.
