i have still 2 problems:
- most times i try to start with comm manager - i have to "turn on WLAN" first

Thanks I use a lot of rom parts from different rom the base rom was a viet rom and i think the dialer may be yours! Base rom habubi Some sonblack in there too

Odd, when it comes to the "Tap the screen to begin" when it first boots up it's not sensing me tapping the screen. I was looking forward to trying this ROM out.

Hi there friend i found out that it may be FTouchFlo that is the cause!! at screen setup, press soft reset 2-3 times and it will pass ok I am working on next rom at the momment but will remove FTouchFlo from startup MENU and rebuild rom and upload in a day or 2 lets wait and see If there are any other bugs so I can fix them at same time Thanks

Well, than you are lucky. The only reason why I decided to try your rom (i used exploude's 273) was that in your rom Office is absent.I use other soft and I do not need huge Office in ROM. So, I downloaded it yesterday, flashed and at least half an hour I tried to start it this or that way.Nothing. May be it was my bad luck or may be somthing else I dont know. But this is the true fact. So I downloaded BA_CE_OS_5.2.20275(Build_20275.1.3.3) on PDAVIET and now everything's fine. It's up to you to believe or not-I dont care friend.

Hi there I do believe you had a problem hence! comment about soft reset? and as i say I will fix the bug in a day or 2 and all will be OK

P.S. there's no dialer in landscape mode in the pdaviet rom
If you want to fix it, try resetting a couple of times, but you have to tap the screen immediately, especially on the "align screen". I did a couple of soft resets and it finally worked when i pressed the screen as soon as it loaded.

all latest ROMs are pretty good, you should test them all before deciding which one you are shooting for!

many more
Before you can flash them, you should install HardSPL. You can find the how to via search.

I would recommend SyriusR1 and then remenber to update the radio roms to the new 1.59.42.15 to get it working properly as it does not work with older radios.
I have an original unlocked model, should I still install Hardspl?
What are the differences between all these roms? (are they provided with built-in applications? and with radio rom?)

Yes, you still need hard-spl!
You can find all the info about the roms in the opening posts of the threads.
They differ in programs installed, drivers used (i.e. the 3d driver), and in use of memory and cpu. Some are faster then others but speed comes with less 'options', some features are disabled to increase overall performance...

yep same here, at the moment i recommend syrius r1 with the appropriate radio, it has little bugs, which can mostly be fixed, and other than that, very stable and responsive
I would recommend M-amine's M2D rom. Very fast, stable and contains the latest P3D drivers. And in different languages.

With all respect, I ask this mainly because I'm not very in to this development, but what use has the 3d driver for the polaris?
I don't want to sound cocky and I do respect everyone on the project, I assume it's a hell of a project , very interesting. But I'm just not sure if I need 3d drivers for the functions I use on the polaris...

A cooked rom is a rom made by someone else than HTC. Original ROMS are signed with a digital certificate by HTC. A cooked rom is not signed and in order to make your Polaris accept a non-signed ROM (i.e. cooked) you need to install HardSPL first. If you do not install HardSPL the rom flash will fail and you are left with a bricked (non-functioning) phone.
Remember that installing a new rom is like performing a hard-reset (and it is indeed recommended to hard reset after a flash). So backup any contacts, appointments etc first.
Do not take a complete backup (image) of applications, settings (registry) etc since they are of no use on any other ROMs than they were backed up from.

I agree with PseudoReal, i think you may be mistaken with r0. apart from what Pseudo mentioned, i also saw that my front camera is working fine.
I have Syrius R1 and QuickGPS doesn't work. I tried several times today. Weather is updated while QGPS is trying to connect, so the Internet connection works (through 3G).
SR1 is good, except for the clock background which blocks a huge chunk of the background picture. (I had some trouble changing the Manilla skin, but now it works and I have a clock with no background.)
Oh, and the GAPI BitBlt graphics test fails on SR1 (but not on SR0).
(I didn't try M-Amine)

Video playing from Manila tab is working, TT6 vers. 6.032 is also working for me and the automatic starting and running of active sync in the background seems to be gone.
To do for the user:
-Installation of NetCF 3.5, MMS, Opera (if you want to use it from the Manila tab), Weather patched Manila.exe (if you want to choose an individual city), installation of Total Commander or Resco Explorer to change Manile.exe, etc. (not working from PC), M2DC (if you like to change Manila theme), adv. config. 3.3 (if you want to change tabs in the comm-manager for example).
Not working:
-Long pressed end key, the data connection termination
-all programs selection from Manila programs tab only has worked the first time for me (after it, the selection seems to be dead)
-If I install the default polaris camera with autofocus, it is not working (with radio 1.59.42.15 or 1.59.42.23)
-Swiping between e-mail accounts not working for me

I agree. Its a nice rom.
Any one knows which radio rom is/are compatible with ROM V38? I am having issue with V38. Can only make 1 voice call then the next one will have issue where i cannot hear or talk to the receipient. Same camera issue.

V38 test results
I've running V38 since two days, I'm running with the 1.59.42.23 radio.
I've added or corrected:
-Opera, .netcf 3.5
- folderview.exe to fix the all program bug,
- Tomtom V7, resco explorer to make the necessary copies,
- opal dialer of M-Amin, because I like his dialer,
- normal polaris camera (from M-amin page) to having the auto focus working.
Test results:
Reallyfaster than V35,
Tomtom V7 is ok,
phone is ok,
Didn't test video call because I'm not using it,
Exchange sync ok,
end key positionned to put my phone in airplane mode and it's working,
bluetooth and wifi working.
multi selection in inbox folder not working,

Hi,
now I have found a camera software with autofocus, that is working too. But the image quality seems not to be better than with the actual camera without autofocus. Deinstalled it, cause the actual one seems to be quicker. I have also installed folderview.exe. Now the button "all programs" in the Manila program tab is working, but I´m not able to scroll. Does it work for you and if yes, which folderview.exe are you using (the one from the Sirius R1 thread)?

I faced some weird problem on my hd mini. After I downloaded this rom: [ROM][31.01.2011][WWE-ITA-FRA-ELL-GER-RUS-SPA-NLD-DAN] ver 2.30 nsourm -build 23152 - I could'nt change my sound, only in options.
Anyone know how to fix this? Thx.
I'm using the same ROM and never had this probleme.
did you made a Hard Reset after flashing the ROM?
Changing your sound has to be done in Settings.--> Sounds. And if you have Manila: Settings tab.--> Menu --> All --> Sounds and notifications.
I did hard reset after flashing. And madmatt, you dont get it, I cant change volume in fast way, my buttons dont work, I dont know why, but this is after flashing rom.
maybe it's better to flash the original rom and see if it works.
then flash the cooked rom and again check if it works before installing any software or customization.
Yep, if it doesnt work with a stock ROM, I think it's a hardware problem...

i have the same probs too.
the buttons are working after softreset and after a while , i can`t discribe a special moment or action, it`s not working anymore.
tried english and german language. without cht.

My language is english.
I'm using the WWE ROM and never had this problem!!! check your installed software or customizations! I'm nearly sure that the ROM is ok!!!
check if it's the Taskbar customization! some Taskbar from the main Windows Dev group have volume control problem and there sould be a fix for it!
