<Error 120:Country Error>
please help, cannot reload JasJar at all
Thanking You in advance
Norman
did you search before you posted?
there is so much information on this website about this error it isnt funny. Just type 120 or country id or similar into the search engine on the universal forums only and you will find your answer.
seek and you shall find
NormanKong, we really need more information than that.
Which "latest" version are you using?
The only time you're going to get that error is if you're trying to install a ROM version that wasn't officially released where you are. I'm guessing you're trting to install an O2 or T-Mobile ROM.
Until you give more information, people can't really help.

I recently did a Radio Stack upgrade for my hw6965. After that it doesn't receive or send SMS. I tried to fix it using several Radio Fix on this site and ended up with a "NO GSM" on Boot Screen.
My Bootloader Version is: G39 and my ROM Revision is 1.21APD.00 ENG
Please someone help.
Thank you.
Ask questions before attempting upgrades
You should have asked questions before you flashed files you did not know about. If your phone was not receiving text messages, all you needed to do was input a couple of settings on your phone. If you have "NO GSM", You may have to buy a new motherboard for you hw6965. HP Charges around 290.00 for this.

No Fix Yet
I tried so many methods as well. Still no fix. Can anybody help?
***UPDATE*** Damn. I ran the update (filename is RUU_Vision_BellMobility_WWE_1.34.666.1_Radio_12.28b.60.140e_26.03.02.18_M2_release_154437_signed.exe), and the update process began. It started off with "Erasing User Data"... then "Sending"... then quickly brought up a window that said:
ERROR [156]: IMAGE ERROR The ROM Update Utility cannot update your Android phone. Please get the correct ROM Update Utility and try again.
This sounded like a good match for this device. I'm stuck now. Anyone have any ideas?
***old -UPDATE*** I found a Bell stock update... gonna try this out.. thanks for reading.
Hello all. Forgive me, I'm a Blackberry user and I just got an HTC Desire Z (it is locked to Bell in Canada - CDMA carrier?). I'm waiting for my unlock code to arrive (as I am on a different/GSM carrier) and I'm getting antsy to try it out.
I tried searching this forum tree using many different terms but all I've managed to find were custom ROMS and foreign official ones.
First thing I want to do is update it... I downloaded HTC Sync, which installed all the necessary drivers. (Except HTC Diag - found this online). So now I can connect it to my PC without any driver drama.
Then I went looking for an update. I found RUU_Vision_HTC_WWE_1.34.405.5_Radio_12.28b.60.140e_26.03.02.26_M_release_155556_signed.exe (but to be honest I wasn't sure if this is correct for my phone - I tried it anyway). It got so far as to reboot the phone to start the process but it then told me it wasn't the right update for my phone.
So that's where I am right now. I've been reading a lot about rooting, etc. but don't even want to go that far just yet. I just want to start off by getting a nice official software update/rom to get this thing up-to-date.
Currently, the version on this phone is 1.01.666.1 (sounds pretty old to me). I want to get rid of this blasted watermark (and I'm hoping a software update will take care of this).
Which ROM/software update is right for this phone? Any info / links would be appreciated. Thanks!

I'm assuming from your initial post that you're not on Bell Canada and are wanting to use it on a different carrier? If that's the case, use gfree (see the wiki) to unlock your device (and fully root it, if you want).

Hi, ive updated by new DHD on orange contract (uk) from AV 2.2 to 2.2.1
Looking in the software information there are lots of different numbers.
What is the important bit in there now?
What i have is:
Build number is now 1.84.61.2 CL333804
sOFTWARE NUMBER 1.84.61.2
Anyway after the update now my Wifi does not work.
Anyone else had this problem?
Whats the fix?
I wish i didnt bother updating now!
Hi all,
I bought an unbranded HTC Legend second hand. The phone is running at 2.1 update 1. As far as i know its not rooted.
When I try updating to 2.2 OTA, I get the red warning triangle and the phone freezes. When I press power + volume up, I can see that there's an assert that failed when checking system files. The information for the phone is this:
Version : 2.1-update1
Radio : 47.39.35.09U_7.08.35.21
Kernel : 2.6.29-5F084974 [email protected] #1
Build : 2.05.405.2 CL191838 release-keys
Software : 2.05.405.2
Browser : WebKit 3.1
I have tried doing updates to 2.2 OTA, from the SD card and through the PC itself all with the same result. I did search for the problem here first before posting and came up with a solution here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=867890
Following the steps of someone who was having the exact same problem. I created a goldcard and downgraded to 1.3 and then OTA back up to 2.05. However when updating OTA again to 2.2 the exact same problem happened!
I am getting really frustrated, i am a total noob when it comes to things like this and have spent quite a few hours trying to get it to work.
If you guys have any suggestions, solutions or ideas that would be really really helpful. Please please please have something like a omnifixit.exe lying around i could use...
Thanks for your help!
Hello. It may be a possibility that you've got not unbranded but debranded device and update fails on CID check. If it is so, there are 2 methods:
1) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=866629
2) root device and flash BlaY0 or CM7 rom /more effort, better results
Cheers
Okay brilliant, I hadn't considered that.
I'll follow the instructions through this evening and let you know how it works out if at all.
much obliged for your help!
