tcpmp works with the stock rom but with any cooked or the new released 6.1 rom it doesn't work. I have 0.72 and 0.81 versions. I uninstalled and reinstalled both versions with no luck. and yes I did soft reset after installing. does anyone have a fix for this? it just says error crash.txt program will now exit.
me too
i had the same problem, but i figured it out long time ago, i just cant remember how i did it, i think i had to reload the skunkworks software first then the tcpmp after that. other way doenst work. hope this works i have tcpmp ver. 0.72rc1 which works with my phone perfectly and skunkworks flash video bundle. try that, install the skunkworks first then tcpmp after then reset. hope it works!

Man, I still can't get this damn thing to work. I have uninstalled it, then installed the flash program and the TCPMP and still nothing.
Keep getting the Crash.txt on 6.1.
I'm fairly convinced Youtube is not going to play on this phone! I have my eye on the Diamond anyhow!
youtube plays fine on mine with touchflo3d
TCPMP has a 6.1 version available but if youtube is what you wanting I know this will work with 6.1 custom or stock. just install the HTCQVGA cab then install the album video fix then soft reset and the player will be in your programs folder. Its super easy.
try this it worked for me .ok im sorry im new if you can tell me how to post a cab on here i got what you need

Yes you need to download the new flashbundle. Others have been having this problem, but it got resolved once they updated the flash bundle.
I will enclose the new flash bundle and TCPMP player here if any one needs it.

For the sake of us titan newbies who must sign up every day, it would be cool if the experts could say what a TCPMP player is...the flash bundle is pretty obvious. Thanks!
tcpmp player prety much plays everything. however, correct me if i am wrong, it still will not work over wifi right?
The Flashplayer I enclosed works for me (I am using DCD's 2.2 ROM with WM6.1 on Verizon). (This cab came out on Jan 22, 2008 -- to fix the youtube issues)
Maybe you installed it wrong.
Step One Uninstall your TCPMP and Flashbundle player. Yes you have to install TCPMP and Flashbundle all over. I read you had to do this or else it wont work properly.
Step Two Install TCPMP (a media player that is used to play many files. For example youtube videos ). When you install it chose to install it to your SD card.
Step Three Copy the NEW Flashbundle cab (the one I provided) to the program folder that was created for TCPMP on your SD card
Step Four Once you copied the Flashbundle Cab to the TCPMP folder run the Flashbundle Cab from there and chose to install it to the SD card instead of local memory.
Step FiveSoft Reset
Now you are done. You can now view YouTube and are able to save, preview, and link videos.
Yes it even works over WIFI. I use it with WIFI all the time because it would cost alot with a data plan ( i download alot of videos )
If you ever experiece issues where you flashbundle doesnt work dont worry. Youtube updates their site many times and our Flashbundle is incompatible. Lucky for us we got a source where they update the Flashbundles to work when this happens just visit : http://discussion.treocentral.com/showthread.php?t=148801&highlight=youtube+tcpmp
If you got any more questions feel free to ask. Once again hope this helped you guys out.

Good job on searching, but this is a new problem with the newer build of WM 6.1.

Has anyone tried this on a Samsung Epix? I was able to get it working on my Tilt, but I haven't had any luck with the Epix. Any suggestions?
From the other thread, they provided 2 cabs, the actual TouchFlo 2d and one for Yotube. I tried the YouTube Cab by itself and although it installs fine, I can search and it shows results fine, I cannot seem to play any videos - says "This video cannot be played".
Anyone able to run the HTC Youtbe Cab without the TouchFlo 2d cab?

I get the same error message (exact same situation). I am on DCD's latest and have tried the YouTube that comes with touchflo2d and have gotten the same error. Then I installed the HTC Youtube Cab over that to see if that would fix the problem. No dice. Too busy to get around to doing the hard reset that is required to get this Touchflo2d off my device.
So I too am wondering if someone was able to get that beautiful diamond/opal what ever it is Youtube working on their TITAN w/ or without touchflo.
Just figured I would chime in and say i am also experiencing the same issue with the HTC YouTube App. I get the exact same error and Have TouchFlo 2d installed.
me too...anyone have something that makes the contacts look like a rolodex kind of like the touch pro?
Do you guys have Dshow and concurrancemanager from the diamond installed? It seems these files are needed also.
i found installed dshow, but wasnt able to find the concurrancemanager.. dshow alone didnt work. still says error when trying to play the file. and FYI i am running on a fresh rom install the step by step cab install results of the update 12 from herg of touchflo2d... any ideas? This is the last feature that I havent been able to fix for the whole manilla touchflo2d issue.

Are you trying to add these by cab or as an OEM? I have them burned in to a ROM and not as cab installs. I have them both in OEM and can provide them to you.
I follow step for v14 and install, youtube work fine on mogul
Works on nuerom 3pre3
you tube app works like a charm on no2chem's 3pre3 rom , just install and watch...
Ive Tried All The New ways to get my flash bundle to work after the 6.1 upgrade, as far as downloading the new flash bundle, installing both on storege card and installing the flash bundle cab inside of TCPMP player folder.
The Video sites show up on my phone, but when i press to play i get an error message.
Also the video player will not even open up, it says Crash; Unexpected program failure. Please send "crash.txt" to the developers. Program will now exit
Mod Edit: Moved from Titan Upgrading
TCPMP won't work.
The only free workaround I have found is to install YouTubePlay. Use the flashvideobundle to download the file, then play it with YouTubePlay.
Bummer.
Search this forum for tcpmp crash error and there is an entire thread with updated files included to get tcpmp and flash video bundle working with the new builds of WM 6.1

This is untrue, look for a fixed version of TCPMP that happened after one of DCDs updates. I will look for mine.

Ahh, the beauty of the search button!
I have found the fix. It's a combination of registry plus system files.
If anybody has done his/her research in this area, please share as well.
Otherwise, I will test out further before sharing the fix.
If you have a non-english ROM device, you may have to follow this instructions, after the installation.
Add 26/03/2009:
Add Youtube fix to overcome lag playback for High Quality videos. Credits to akp99. Please download the fix here I will update the full build with the fix.
Update 11/12/2008:
Minor update to the CAB, CAB no longer hard code to \Windows directory, but I have not tried if it works on storage card.
The cab file can be found here
Update 26/11/2008:
I have created a patch CAB to restore the 8 system files that were overwritten by the original Youtube CAB. This is probably the last resort before having to hard reset to get Youtube working (if you had previously installed Youtube before)
Update 18/11/2008:
I have created a patch CAB, if you do not wish to hard-reset your Xperia to install the X1i-Youtube.cab. But let me know if it works for you, because while this patch CAB does correct the problematic registry entries, it does not correct the 8 system files that the original youtube CAB has overwritten.
Update 17/11/2008:
Build a CAB that works fine after I hard reset my phone (after umpteen times of hard reset!)
and it seems that the fix will not require installation of mHubVO cab file!
I'm happy playing the youtube now, and at the same time I could play videos that I captured using the camera.
Excellent!
I havn't withnissed any problems. My youtube always worked.

it's not a problem with youtube, but the mp4/3gp video playback.
That said, some people has reported that the new manila cab will have a working youtube w/o breaking the mp4/3gp video playback. Did you install the new manila cab, and have you installed the standalone youtube cab that's dated 13th nov?
finally managed to re-create the cab that fixed the 3gp/mp4 playback problem.
I work based on itje's Youtube cab so all credits go to itje.
However, I have to re-create a new cab due to some technical problem (somehow modify itje's cab gave me some problem). For that reason, I have create the cab under my own name, hope itje doesn't mind, and if he include the fix into his new Youtube, I will be more than happy to take down this cab.
This cab not only fix the playback problem, I also make sure any conflicting DLL or system files are not overwritten, i.e. the Youtube will re-use whatever system files that Xperia has. There are some registry entries that are redundant as well, for that, I have removed as well.
This CAB will also NOT required you to install mHubVO or Dshow CAB file. It works independently of the other CAB files.
I will upload the CAB file to the top of this thread.
Genius! It works really fine to me! Thank you!

zenkinz, I just found out that this CAB has to be installed into Windows directory, and there are about 200 files created. I'm wondering whether it's possible to install in storage card? Thank you!

Hi zenkinz,
I think we must also do this for HTC Album.
I've installed the Social Engine Cab.
The cab makes a upload icon in second tab of the settings.
And a account manager in the third tab of settings.
If you click on it you see that there is a possibilty to add a Youtube account.
I did but after that i can't do nothing.
I searched the internet and this forum but can't find anything.
The only thing i found is that maybe it is a part of HTC Album.
I think there is a possibility to upload videos you made with the camera to Youtube.
nice job, saved me for some work there..
deletes #54 from the list
cheers
hi zenk , i still have some problem i install the registry youtube.cab then i install your youtube.cab after that i went to open mp4 it has cranking sound with no pictures what is the problem? please help thank you
Ok what I've got so far is; the old TF3D cab from like a week ago.
Then I tried the youtube cab, it didnt work.
Just tried your youtube cab, did a hard reset, tried the other registry fix cab, still not working... :S
I think I understand what you are trying to say. But I probably can only do it this weekend since I got a day job to do

you don't need the registry fix cab if you download the X1i-Youtube.cab from the 1st post of this thread. But for the latter CAB, you need to have clean X1i w/o previous installation of Youtube to work.
Did you try hard-reset, and then install X1i-Youtube.cab ? If it doesn't work, what language is your ROM? (I hardcode it to \Windows directory, it's my fault I know )

Me to
But i'v installed WinCe manager so i'm gone check as well.
I've found that there als must be a Facebook cab.
Because i've found Facebook items in the Social Engine cab.
Also found Youtube in there as well.
I also checked HTC Album and there ar some items that say upload.
When i found something i let you know
Great great great!!! You're the man!!!
I went from an OEM TC to 6.1 TC and now i'm back to an OE TC WinMo 6.0.
when i first got the phone, i had no problem installing TCPMP or any other programs. i would get the cab, dump it in the mem card and execute it.
now that i flip flopped the ROM, when i try to install TCPMP it very quickly pukes and says the install was unsuccessful with no explaination.
any idea how to fix this? i know TCPMP is a freeware and it's a popular movie viewer so it should be pretty much error free. on top of that, i had it installed before going to 6.1. so now what happened?
any help is deeply appreciate it!
thanks!
