Which Finger Touch Friendly software would you recommend to keep track of the travel itineraries on the Touch Diamond? I am currently using the Iambic's Trip Tracker but it is hard to input the info without stylus...
Can the wizards on this forum may be create one?
Any help would be appreciated...

I purchased a TyTn (currently using it with Rogers in Canada) and I've been having problems with the hardware keyboard. The KB isn't terribly responsive (typing lag) and at times requires more than one touch of a key to make it show up on the screen .... this has led me to use the virtual keyboard almost exclusively ... any suggestions (rom upgrades etc) that would fix this annoying problem ?
Furthermore is there any way to lock the keyboard in place as one of the biggest annoyances is that the keyboard slides out by accident when I'm trying to answer a call or perform some other task ...
thanks in advance

Hi and welcome to the forum.
Your problems have come up before so please use the search facility and restrict searches to Hermes forum using advanced search.
Regarding loose keyboard if it's very loose and under warranty - return device. Otherwise see my site or indeed the wiki under hardware in the Hermes board Wiki link at top of page.

Hi, I have a Kaiser currently and my friend has a VZ VX6800. On my Kaiser, I have the ability to scroll on the screen with my finger but on my friend's 6800, it doesnt. Does anyone know how to get that feature on the 6800? Thanks.
BTW, I have tried searching for it, but have not had any luck.
I use SPB Pocket Plus, it lets u scroll on the contacts, PIE and adds a bunch of other cool features... but you have to buy the program...
Ftouchflo search for it. its what ur looking for.

i have Samaung i780 and it is support the mouse cursor on touch pad, actually it is the the opt mouse in x1.
On beside, i780 are able to switch the touch as direction key or mouse cursor.
therefore if there is any software are able to change the direction key in X1 to mouser cursor as same as i780?
I hope someone can hack the mouse drive and cursor software in i780 ROM
thanks
interesting question. i'm wondering too.
Well that would actually make the little pad useful..
Lets hope someone clever manages to get it happen..

I tested the free trial, but the cursor does not respond to the optical pad. And it ran kinda sluggish..
Dear all,
this topic has been raised already many times in the HTC Raphael Forum, but it seems like nothing happened yet.
The idea is to use the touch sensible area around the DPad to control a mousepointer on the Touch Pro device.

Is there somebody out there interested?
It would make many people happy I think.
Thanks and have a nice evening,
Bytecube
The best would be this mousepointer app in combination with something like SimpleOS.

Dear all,
I did some research (took very long time;-) on this topic and found two programs. One program is simulating a mousepointer which can be controlled by the D-PAD. THe other program is able to read the data of the touch sensitive pad of the lower area of the HTC Touch Pro. Both inclusive source code (attached).
First I tried to do it myself, but my programming skills of C++ is not enough and I failed. :-(
The simplest way would just be first to merge those two programs...
I attached all files, maybe somebody of you can help me?
Thanks in advance! This would really be a great and still missing app for the HTC Touch Pro.
Best regards,
Bytecube
Dear all,
after long time searching I found the answer: GScroll 1.5 Beta

In the new version of GScroll you can find GCursor which simulates a mouspointer which can be controlled by the touchpad.

Greetings from a little country in the middle of Europe
I ‘went to flash my Touch HD, with the Topaz ROM, in order to get a new TF3D that has landscape support. All works fine. But as I also like to use Putty for Telnet and SSH sessions, I'm in need of a full QWERTY Keyboard in order to have ESC and CTRL buttons.
Unlikely, this ROM doesn't have the stock HTC Keyboard, I want to have.
As Finger keyboard is not the solution I aim for, could someone please provide me a CAB file of the original HTC keyboard?
All help is highly appreciated.
Best regards,
Yves
I think there is an old HTC keyboard here - post #3 (not sure if it's the one you want though):

Did a little search on google and this came up:

I have never used it so can not say if it works or not, but still you may try it and see if it does the job
