opera 9.5

dear all
I just install opera 9.5 beta from www.opera.com
Its installed perfectly...but when I open browser from TD3d manila, its always open the original opera...how i change it?? which file of manila, that i could edit???

I had the same problem but if you change to the directory, where you installed the new Opera and start it from there, you´ll see its the new one.

this problem was solve with a ROM that is a TOR2 with all upgrades software!

How to uninstall Opera 9.5 Build 2745

Hi Community,
I installed Opera 9.5 Build 2745 Cab from a Touch HD on my Xperia.
Because there is a bug with the keyboard, you can only type one letter in a textbox and after that it will deselect that box, I want to get rid of it.
My problem is I can't remove this version via System -> Remove programs.
It's just not listet there. I already tried do install/uninstall an official beta of Opera.
This only helped me as far as an Opera was listet but it only removed the official beta.
Anyone a suggestions what I could do?

it seems that the only solution is a hard reset

why dont you run the stock Opera from the Windows folder? that in theory will install the default X1 version and replace the one from Touch HD.

Just go to your windows directory in the root of your phone memory there you will find a .cab of the stock opera

Thank you for your reply, byt there is no an Opera cab there...

- Some people here have had the same problem. I think they all did a hard-reset (everything will be gone afterwards).
-> If you do a hard-reset, you can update your ROM while your at it. The new official ROMs have a better Opera version built in (9.5 build 2532, but way better than the original one, scrolling works with the optical joystick now, faster, better landscape support etc...)

My problem is that in my custom rom (Touch-It Experience v.3.01) I have Opera 9.5 Build 2532, but I cannot change with AEKmap to the GREEK layout. Is not working. I can write only English...
Perhaps, should I take the: Opera.exe and OperaL.exe from the cab of Build 2520 (which is working with AEKmap - Greek well, but there is no scrolling which I DO want!) and overite the ones of the 2532?
Or vice versa?
Do you think that I will solve the problem?

Reinstalling doesn't work
When I try to do this, it say's something like "opera software asa opera 9.5 cannot be removed"

Did you just try to install on top of the current version, without uninstalling it?
I think this version is in some custom ROMs. The bug was definately the same and installing the version I linked to on top of the previous version always did the trick for me. But perhaps it depends on the ROM

Maybe it's because Opera mobile is my standard browser?
Could this be the reason why I can't re/uninstall it?

Another option is to try SKT Tools. You can kill opera.exe and I found several posts here and on PPCGeeks stating that it worked.
I tried it with the stock opera on my Sprint TP, and it worked (I do not even remember what the original version was). First time I got the same message (cannot delete...). But once I stopped the opera.exe from running, it worked just fine.

At the moment I put my Xperia into his package, because I have to have to write my graduation tests next week and this phone in combination with this site holds my from learning

Opera 10 issues (how to fix)

I searched and searched, but cannot find a solution for starting opera 10 from the internet tab on manila.
I keep getting the message Error! Could not open file
Sure I can get 9.5 back as default, I when I start from the start menu it works ok, but not from manile internet tab.
I tried opera:config the setting network | Cehck Local Host (set to uncheck) but that doesnt do the trick, S O M E O N E ???

which rom are you using?
I had a lot of problems with opera 10 beta after flashing the off. 6.5 rom from HTC, but after I reflashed that rom everything works fine. So I am happy, but I still dont understand why it didnt work the first time.

updated from stock rom n the opera bug on these website still there..
I'm not sure why the web display only half the page n the website doesn't display traffic cam. it used to work very well.. not sure wat happen...

I'd ask on the thread you got the ROM from, as it's fine for me in Opera 9.7, Opera 10 & IE.
Incidentally, unless you're particularly bothered about pinch-to-zoom in Opera, I'd highly recommend Opera 10. It would fix your problem and give you a better browsing experience at the same time (the latter part is obviously only my opinion )

Hi, The page displays perfectly on a stock 1.66 ROM with Opera 9.7. Can't see any reference to traffic cams on the site via computer or phone. You have to be a member to get further into the site.
I'm afraid that I don't know what Opera bug you refer to which you say is still there. Sorry.

I edited the registry.. zoomfps n panfps to 50..
After a while it display this way. .
I was using 1,66 9.7.. was ok all the while then when it turn like that I reflash stock rom..
After entering twice it turn out the same.
Apps on my device now..

Sorry, this works perfectly in my Stock 1.66.405.2 (76641) WWE ROM and Opera 9.7. If it works for you in IE you could always leave it at that? Not all mysteries of the universe were meant to be uncovered

Problem with Opera Mobile 10 and flash

Hey there,
I have some problems with getting flash to work. As far as I know, Opera Mobile 10 supports flash - however even after enabling plugins in the setting, instead of the flash, I get a white area called "plug-in content". I read, that's normal - however even if I double-tap on that, I still don't get shown the content.
I changed to another rom - Tomal v. 8.9 for 64 MB RAM. There I have flash in the IE, but in Opera still the same problem. Could anyone help me?

Thank you for your answer. Could you please be more specific? I've seen your post before (wouldn't have found Tomal's ROM otherwise), but I couldn't find anything about the problem with flash. I've seen your workaround-post for YouTube, but actually I'm not too much interested in YouTube.
As for Opera 9.7 - tried two different versions now 36000 and 35443, and on my ROM (maxstegi WM 6.1 - probably the most popular German ROM) both version won't start up.

Look for Working flash player in Opera mobile, any version on post number 2
