just thought i would make a thread for people with either issues or fixes to contribute to the community.at the moment i have my neon300 running seths latest diamond rom with M2D,opal volume, opal title bar, opal task manager, opal comm. and opal enlarged start.every application is running smoothly except for opal phone canvas and title bar.the title bar only displays connection type, signal strength and volume.but when i click on volume it shows me battery and when i click on signal strength it shows me volume.when i dont have M2d enabled it shows all 4 status' and correct function when pressed.id love to have opal phone canvas working but when i install the kaiser version(which is the only one available) it doesnt show the updated styled skin,it just shows the colors.anyone with a fix please post here..if youve got a problem post it here too...thanx in advance
I think it because you have "Opal Large Enlarged Start" installed. It doesn't work properly and causes bugs.

The Opal's phonecanvas runs quite good on my E-TEN M700 but I encountered one issue with it. When typing an unknown/new number, the phonecanvas offers a button to create a new contact or add the number to an existing contact. Unfortunatelly it does not create new contacts and deletes them, if I try to add a number to an existing contact.
I tried to install PhoneCanvas but it seems that it doesn't work. Do I have to setup some hidden settings first? What did I wrong?
You may need to put the phone off first (in flight mode), then install the cab. It works great on mine.

Hi! I have installed version 20 (It was the same with version 19) on my Touch Dual Everything works but I dont have the bottom buttons. There's just a emtpy line in the bottom of the screen.
Is there somebody else that had this problem?
Some skins are like that, they hide the buttons, it could be that, install a new or default skin with m2dC.
Btw, why v0.20? 0.21 works fine on the Nike too.
Also, 0.22 is pretty close by...
By the way, what is the differences between versions?
I use first (may be second or third, something like that) release, and everything is works, also bug free
But something pulls me to get latest version...
The one thing I noticed right away on v0.22 is the speed, I never had any version this fast, also it has the new footprints tab, but I dont have GPS (sigh) so I'll have no use for it.
From all the other versions behind I noticed mostly bugfixes. But I only use 5 tabs, so something may have slipped without me noticing.
I have two questions
1)Where you did get new v22?
2)Seems like new versions have cutted animation.
On my version, if i tap on another tab, it will change with smooth-slide animation.
But in new one, if i tap on another tab, it just change the tab, without any animation.
This is a new feature or it doesn't work propely on my device?

New versions have no scroll animation, like Manila3D
(New versions of Manila3D have cutted animation too)
I tried hard reset and then version 21 but I still don't get the buttoms in the bottom. Lucky I can play with manilla on my new Diamond after the weekend!
I have M2D 0.22 and I have a problem with the 4 icons on top (battery, sound, operator signal, operator network type).
I can only tap on the 3 on the left (I cannot tap then battery icon).
After I tap once, the 3 on the left appear in a bigger screen and if I tap anyone of them will open the application immediatly on the right!).
For instance...
Screen: 4 icons (network type, signal, sound, battery).
I can only click on the 3 on the left (network type, signal, sound). By doing that a bigger menu appears with those 3 icons.
By tapping network type icon, it opens network identification application.
By tapping network signal, it opens sound application.
By tapping sound, it opens battery application.
Anyone with this problem?

i think it's a ROM error, not Manila.
Try another one or change the battery icon to watch(clock).

i have a problem with the animations being flat and not smooth like the tabs on previous versions, i have a touch dual also.

1. Youtube app not working (I've reading loads of posts saying the same thing but can't find any definitive answer)

Here is the Cab - I loaded it on my Titan (QVGA) and it installed without a problem but won't run. There is a QVGA icon pack in the install directory and it creates a shortcut in the startmenu. When I click on the shortcut an Info box pops up that says (Can't Start Zoom Status Please Check Zoom Status is Enabled). I don't see any obvious way to enable it after looking in the install directory and the windows directory. Have soft reset after install, still no luck.
By the way, it doesn't show up in the remove programs directory so once you've installed it you have to manually remove...
I'm running WM 6.5 27128 so perhaps this only works on 6.1.
I installed it on an X1 running wm6.5 and got the same error message but you can get it to run if you disable the default today plugin in on wm6.5 and enable the Zoomstatus one.

I run it on custom asus WM 6.5.xxx502 ROM. I did the same as jbrummie but I couldn`t have both enabled - windows default and zoom status. Any solution ?

Yep - found the same thing. It runs and works on 6.5 but won't work at the same time Titanium is enabled....

The topaz notification system cant be shut down. So I only can see task manager.

installed the task manager on my imate 9502 and all it done was enlarge the scrollbars on standard winmo applications so as only 2 icons are displayed per line..
Works fine on my xperia with wm6.1
installed on my i910 omnia, seems to wrk. although some buttons dont do anything when i press them on the zoomstatus. havent tried the taskmgr yet.
edit: i just soft reset, the task manager is there. works fine. looking at the install folder it seems skinnable. also it doesnt seem to give me accurate info since im on verizons network. the sig strength and battery works fine though. taskmanager also looks skinnable since all the image files are in the install folder. looks fun.
Here are some pics on a Fuze. I had to turn off TF3D. Also, some of the notifications don't work, like volume just brings me back to HTC's notifications so it's a loop. The other taskbar items work but require a press and hold. i'm using the updated Fuze ROM.
Zoom status works fine with Titanium (wm6.5) if you change registry value "Exclusive" to zero for Titanium plugin.
You should enable both plugins ("Windows Default"(Titanium) and ZoomStatus) in Today items settings.

How i can make the phone canvas of Jade run well, because when scrolling the contacts overlapped.
Mega phone canvas cause problem with wifi and bluetooth, that make the wifi disconnect from time to time and bluetooth icon disappear.
Need ur kind help to make the original phone canvas work

It fixes the position incommin call but what about the caller ID??? i guess thats only fixed with the change of the cprog to a working version

My phone canvas fixes scrollbar, keyboard button in softkeybar and incoming call position, also caller id work, but I tested this in 235xx buids and I haven't tested in others builds.
The only thing that should be fixed is call history .
tested your phcanrc and phcanhtc they fixes the button and scroll bar.. incominc al position is ok for me... history is ok for me (ATM) but the caller ID in 23658 LG branch dont works, tried the COM8 cprog on LG branch 23568 and the phone works only for one call then it crash (cant make or receive again a ophone call) so I guess to fix the Caller ID pic and or ID number must have your COM5 cprog.exe.. can you share it please.

I think you have to change not only cprog.exe but also pimstore.dll and tpcutil.dll.
Here are modules from 23569 build. I think also that it's better cooking this files in a rom than overwrite them.
Let me know if these works.

As before... if i change the cprog.exe from COM5 builds to LG branch the phone starts loosing calls, so its not a good fix
lets try the same canvas with a com5 build 23569
+ que ppc there's a complete vga dialer port for wm6.5.x in the tachi phone canvas thread ( i think is the rhodium dialer ) but i didn't find it

So I've added EXSTYLE = 0x02000000 to phcanrc.dll from PhoneCanvas 3.40.33475.0 (from diamond or touch pro), but I still get the scroll bar on dialer screen after a soft reset. If I close the dialer and open it again, the scroll bar is not present (but will show up again the 1st time it is opened after soft reset). I've applied the fix to a Leo_2G_4_2_6212011 phone canvas and it worked as expected, but I am having this problem with the older dialer. Does anyone have any clues as to why this is happening? Thanks.
There are multiple lines you need to add not only one.

Yes, I know. I added it to the proper lines according the posts here on XDA. The problem only occurs the 1st time it is opened and will not re-occur until the device is soft reset. I've added the exstyle lines to phcanrc.dll for several dialers (all newer than the one I am having problems with) and have not had this problem.
Hello, all, I am new to editing Phone Canvas and don't know how to fix the keypad icon overlap issue in 6.5.x. Can anyone teach me how to do so or edit the files for me? There are two packages in the attachments, please fix them all. They are all VGA phone canvases.

I know the default Windows Mobile dialer skin is limited but even so I think I am missing something with it. If I open the phone and then begin typing a name the Leo HTC Phone Canvas automatically searches for a name in the contacts list. With the Windows Mobile default dialer this doesn't seem to happen and I can't believe this is a feature MS would have left out?
I have a pretty stock Leo ROM but have changed the Windows Mobile build and added in a few applications. I have been toying around with 5.2.23152 & 5.2.23569 and prefer 5.2.23152 but have the Phone Canvas issues (no Caller ID, Call History etc). I have tried all the 'fixes' posted (replace cprog.exe etc) however none of them fully fix the problems so I thought why not use the default Windows Mobile Dialer Skin? I have set the [HKLM\Security\Phone\Skin\Enabled] to 0 and have the default skin, however the dial parser (?) doesn't work?
Any pointers?

Fixed it by not including the Phone Canvas in the build. Bit odd as I thought disabling the Phone Skin would have worked, ahh well...
The skin got to disabled, and some reg needs to be deleted in order for WM dialer to work, if htc dialer is cooked in i think. I am going to search for that thread, will share when I find it.

Yep, the HTC Dialer (Phone Canvas Enhancement 2G v4.2.62520173131.0) would normally be cooked in. Due to the various compatibility issues with this Dialer Canvas and WM 6.5.x I wanted to 'switch it off' and use the default MS Dialer Canvas, but leave the HTC one there so I could switch it on if need be. It looks like I can't just switch it off and need to remove it from the ROM build.
Ho hum, I rebuilt the ROM but excluded the HTC Phone Canvas and the MS one now works as I expected. Although the MS Phone Canvas looks less pretty than the HTC one, it has about the same functionality..... I think I can live with it to get a better WM build.
Does anyone know if the default Windows Mobile Phone Canvas works with the Light Sensor? i.e. can it be configured to turn the screen off when held to your ear? It isn't by default and I have tweaked the various settings via Schaps Advanced config tool but can't get it to work?
